We have family in the area but usually stay at the Twin Rivers RV Park, but decided to try this campground instead. It was a much better stay than I anticipated as we aren't big KOA fans. The most popular attraction here is the Friday and Saturday night movies as it is built on an old drive-in movie location. They provide Adirondack chairs around propane fire pits ( to keep warm ) and free popcorn on movie nights. The new KOA franchise will bing more improvements and this will become more popular. The covered back deck at the clubhouse is very nice and inviting. There is no pool or jacuzzi so I don't know how you stay cool during the hot summer? There are 4 packed rows of permanent residents RV's. And some need to scrub the mold off their rigs and get rid of junk around their yards. Hoping KOA will help with this situation...Very Friendly and helpful staff...We would stay here again for sure.

Probably could have gotten a lower rate or discount but I booked online. The Campground: Disclaimer: I didn’t use their bathrooms or showers so I can’t comment in that. This campground is easy to maneuver with asphalt roads. Sites are spacious enough with each space with a little dividing fence, table and chairs, and some with a gas grill fire pit. Our space was level with gravel and had a concrete patio. Full hookups with great WiFi. Our signal was 94% before we added our wineguard! We were able to stream movies during peak time with no interruptions. Speaking of movies they have a massive outdoor screen for movies. We slept through it as it gets dark late up here in the summer. The audio works by tuning into AM radio or you can sit outside in their little seating area on the lawn. This comes complete with chairs and gas fire pits! Lovely. They had a nice playground for kids and there are games galore! Disc golf, horseshoes, connect 4, cornhole etc. if you are an inside person then you can play inside games or shoot pool in the clubhouse. In the morning they had fresh baked cinnamon rolls sitting out. We also donated to a cute little outside library. Like I said: “thought of everything.” They didn’t forget the pets. There are several dog runs including a quite spacious fenced in version. They had a picnic bench in there so you can relax while Fido plays. The surrounding area had hiking, great parks, swimming, canoeing etc. I didn’t see a major grocery chain but lots of small markets. There is a bigger shopping dining area 10 minutes down the road. Missing is the pool and hot tub. That would have been nice. My only complaint is I couldn’t stay longer due to time constraints. We will definitely return!

All sites are pull through, fenced off leash dog area, several other on leash dog areas, playground, nice little store, ice, propane on site, and most importantly the movies on the old drive-in screen Thursday through Saturday nights during the summer! I cannot comment on the showers as I used my own and not theirs. 30 and 50 amp sites. Nice packed gravel sites with paved patio areas and wood fence dividers between sites. Each site has bistro style table and chairs (2). I really enjoyed!! Oh and if you choose to sit in the nice grassy area (plastic Adirondack chairs provided) for the movie they serve free popcorn ???? If you can see screen from your site the sound on FM station. Good wineries close too!!Close to the interstate but far enough no noise from it.

Not far from the interstate and small town Sutherlin. Roseburg is larger and only 12 miles away. They had lots of doggy play areas including at least 2 off leash parks. Wifi was available but my Verizon signal was stronger so I did not use it. Cable worked great so we didn't have to drag out the dish. Sites have some semblance of privacy to them with trees, bushes and built in patios. This all helped keep noise down. They have a drive in movie screen which would have been cool to see on. They usually play during weekends but will turn on if asked and someone is available.

  • Terrific value with all the amenities including drive-in movie theater

We'd gladly return having now also experienced the friendliness and amenities it offers. All the Amenities: all the sites are full hook-up and while most are back-in and the park is basically a large parking lot, it feels very spacious and like a neighborhood with many trees and small parks surrounding the sites. One end even has a working drive-in movie screen where they play movies a couple nights a week! Hi-Way's wi-fi is one of the few we've ever found that has a strong signal and works consistently too. If you need any advice on local attractions, supplies or to catch up on laundry there's very friendly knowledgeable folks in the office along with a small store and laundry room. And, if you're a wine-drinker, this is a terrific central location to many wineries in the Umpqua Valley.Dog-Friendly: we appreciated the two dog play areas, and many RV'ers have their pups with them. There's not a lot of shade in the park so just be prepared you might need to have your awning up.Runner's Rave: the best runs are if you go west on McKay Drive along the river. There's peaceful farms and fields and beautiful sunsets. Downsides: the only downside we experienced was the smoke that had nothing to do with Hi-Way Haven but was blanketing the area.Overall, this was a great experience and value in the heart of South Willamette Valley.
