The site was more than long enough for our 39’ 5th Wheel and F-450 truck. WiFi was average but there were not many RVs in the park for our 3 nights stay, and we got 4 bars on Verizon. They do not have cable and not being too far from Sioux Falls, we got a good amount of OTA channels. The CG was well taken care of and very clean. We did experience flies this time of year and they were aggressive about getting inside our RV. I had some insect fogger and that worked well spraying before entering our rig. There is no formal dog park, but plenty of area around the CG to walk. The town of Salem down the road has your basic amenities and we enjoyed playing a round of golf on their 9 hole course that is decently priced.  Well run little CG that we would definitely stay at again.

It's surrounded by farm fields so the biggest issue was the massive amount of flies we had to swat and try to keep out of our rig and truck. There is also no privacy between sites. While you are here definitely visit the Porter Sculpture Park, a really cool roadside attraction (you can also boondock there with permission). We would definitely stay here again as a stop over only.

The grounds are kept up daily and very clean & organized. Lots of grass in-between sites, the gravel drives & site lot is graded. Good electric, water, sewer. The restrooms, showers & laundry is a bit dated; if any major change can happen it would be to invest in upgrading those facilities. The showers require 25¢ for 6min, understand the costs for water, but a better system could be explored. Good location for jumping off to various venues even to Sioux Falls. Salem is a cute town with the necessities for groceries & supplies. The Centex fuel station is perfect ($2.99 for diesel in Sept 2021).

You are in the middle of corn fields and then you enter this place. It’s very clean, green and quiet. The owner was super nice and welcoming. It’s a little paradise in the middle of the fields.

Killer wind was ripping up our awnings and we were stressed from the ride. Polly greeted me at the desk and quickly checked me in for the night. She even asked about our dog and then put us in a spot in the back next to a field where we could fetch rasping. Then she gave me the run down of the camp and some ice cream bars and Rob escorted us to our spot. Our site and the whole park was in excellent condition. It’s a dirt pad (which sucked when it rained but oh well) and we had a nice grass area. You can tell that Rob and Polly really care about their campground. Later at night Rob came by to let us know that the tornado watch had lifted and we were just going to get the tail end of the storm. Not much to do around Salem but the park is a great spot to relax. If you are looking for a place between Sioux Falls, Mitchell and Yankton this is the perfect spot.

We were only here one night, as we were in transit cross-country. Absolutely great little park, with super-friendly people. Quiet at night, with the downtown area of Salem just 1.5 miles down the road (fuel, stores, etc.). A great place to stay if you like the rural scene and appreciate the quiet.

Right on Hwy 81 so a bit of road noise during day and occasional big truck at night. Very convenient to I-90 (less than 2 miles). Easy on/off roadway and interstate. 38 miles to Sioux Falls. Verizon signal is strong but not fast - enough to stream with buffering but slow to browse FB and Amazon. ATT signal is decent and speed is enough to stream and navigate internet adequately. I work online on VPN so this is important to me. Park has free Wi-Fi but didn’t use it. They will allow you to have packages delivered with us awesome for full timers like me. Grocery and a couple restaurants nearby.

Sites are very level, and there’s a decent amount of space between sites. The sites are gravel mixed with some dirt, while the roads are more hard-packed dirt with some gravel: there’s no danger of getting stuck in any mud, but it does mean you’ll want to wipe your feet a little before entering your camper after it rains. There’s no dedicated dog park, but plenty of open, grassy spaces on the borders of the campground to walk your four-legged family members. There’s a pool and a playground near the office building, which is home to a small store, bathrooms, and a laundry room.I rely on strong cell signals for my work. With my Verizon Jetpack hotspot and a MIMO antenna, I got 5 bars with download speeds between 15-20Mbps and upload speeds around 15Mbps, which was good enough to stream TV. My AT&T cell phone had between 3 and 4 bars of service. The campground is pretty quiet. There is some road noise from the road that goes past the entrance (more from the speed of the cars than the amount of them), but that dies down in the evening. The park is surrounded by farmland, but the small town of Salem is only 4 minutes away and has a Dollar General and local supermarket.Owners Rob and Polly live on site and take care of their campers. Rob helped us out with a DIY repair when we ran into a snag that required a tool we didn’t have. If they have to shut off the water due to below-freezing temps, they make sure to give all the campers plenty of warning. If we’re in the Sioux Falls area again, we’ll be staying there if we can.
