We stayed here for three night In early April with family and were the only campers. It was so great. We rode bikes into town and found the old cemetery which is a must when I’m traveling. We drove to Brownlee dam and rode bikes along the Snake river. Definitely worth checking out the whole area. We will come back and stay here.

This is the most remote spot we’ve camped at but there’s a lot of charm to be found. The park is in a valley and has great views of rolling hills and some mountain peaks. We biked to the store and went a little further to dip our toes in Eagle Creek. We also took a beautiful drive, about 30 minutes, to a National Forest with a campground to get in the river. Hell’s Canyon was another short trip away. We’ve been here two weeks and booked for a month at $450, it was $400/month for one A/C plus $50 since we have two A/Cs. We’ve had very few neighbors and we’re told that most visitors come for the nearby fishing. There are several full-time residents that live in the park and those we’ve met have been very friendly. We’ve received all sorts of produce and gifts from residents who have gardens and/or hunt. The grounds are lovely with lush patches of grass between sites and around the park. There are several trees that provide some relief from the heat during August and one of the trees at site 16 has apples growing! The WiFi is ok for working on my laptop but not great for streaming. We have good AT&T service so we use our phones as hotspots for streaming. The town of Halfway is a short drive away and they have a bigger grocery store. Oh and the laundry room is great! 4 front-load washers for $1.25 and 4 dryers for the same price.
