We also stayed last October as its a good first stop for us after Eureka heading north. Great, friendly staff, clean restrooms and showers. A bit of road noise here. However this visit we noticed even more full timers and less open sites for overnight " campers ". I hope they don't turn into just another trailer park as we like to stay here.

The cell signal was good and walking our dogs around the park was easy and felt safe.

Plenty of available pull thru sites saved for overnighters in the Fall, mid October. There were some full time residents but it appeared to be peaceful and quiet throughout the park. The staff are friendly, the place is neat and well kept up. This campground is called a "Resort" and when I asked why the man in the office said: Because they have so many extras. Like teepees, a couple of camping cabins, a group gathering area with fire pit, tent camping sites, and a small swimming pond. And many more special touches.... The toilet/showers are newer individual rooms in a bigger unit and some of the nicest we've seen in awhile. We would come back again during the quiet season only like when we were here.. A bit of highway noise from the 199...This looks like the kind of place where busy families gather for vacations in the summertime...

Site manager Gary was very friendly and energetic in serving guests’ needs. He responded immediately and cheerfully to every request, and I watched him roll up his sleeves and help one guest with some setup issues. The park was clean and quiet. “Park” is the right word — from the trees, to the center grass park with small pavilion, to the swimmable flowing pond with sandy beach in a back wooded section, the place felt natural and peaceful. And excellent, fast, reliable wifi! Lots to do in the area. We’ll come again!

They have a small pond in the back that has a good amount of water flowing through it which leads to a little creek along the side of the campground. Since the water is flowing, the pond is not stagnant and the water is fresh and clean. The kids loved splashing around in it.One drawback was road noise, its probably worth it to try to get a spot that does not back up to the road. There was not a lot of traffic, but unfortunately the traffic that there was seemed to consist of folks having competitions to see who's vehicle could be louder.Warning - your grass area might have a timed sprinkler setup. Nobody mentioned that to us and our chairs and bikes got soaked at 10:30pm (I got pretty wet too when I realized what was happening and ran out to move our stuff). It was not a big deal though, and the side effect is that at least the grassy areas are nice.

This has to be the nicest management at any RV park we have ever stayed. Very beautiful are area with good hiking and a winery nearby. Very peaceful for somewhere just off the road. We cannot wait to go back for longer and spend some time in the area. Saw otters and tons of birds.
