I was really touched by how nice and considerate the staff is. Good spot for activities on Diamond Lake and touring Crater Lake. T-mobile gets 1 bar.

  • Very nice stay, no WiFi or cell service (nice to be disconnected once in awhile)

There is essentially no campground WiFi (limited dial-up connections, but very few to allow use to), and virtually no cell service, a situation which covers most of that side of the lake, including through the resort down the road. Every once in awhile, we'd get one bar, and a few text messages would get through. So, if you want to truly be disconnected, this is the place. Even with an Insty_Connect cellular internet device, couldn't get anything. Bathrooms very clean. Diamond Lake is very pretty. Lot's of hiking opportunities in the area. Plenty close to Crater Lake to make the location good for a relatively short trip into Crater Lake. There were fires when we were there, which limited some views, mostly the day we attempted Crater Lake; couldn't see anything. Our site was a pull-thru, relatively level, full-hookups, 50 amp. There is a pizza place on the lake thru a path from the campground, pricey, but with no other restaurant options, useful. Take note, the nearest full grocery story is more than 45 miles away ! So, word to the wise, plan ahead, and buy groceries on the way in. There is diesel and other gas at a small station up from the resort, but also pricey [and nearest gas station otherwise is 45 miles away]

Nice and quiet park. Great location to Diamond Lake. It was just across the street and within walking distance. Close to Crater National Park. The cell reception here is not ideal. I used my signal booster and was able to work comfortably with 3 bars for Visible. Did not check out the showers or bathrooms.

Sites were pretty spacious and well kept with pit in ground for fires.

Great greeting at the front desk with a guide to our site. The guide was much appreciated as we were tired from the drive. There is a very short downhill walk to a pleasant pizza parlor and a lakeside dock. The staff were pleasant and very happy to chat and help with local information.

Diamond Lake RV is across the road from South Shore Pizza and convenient to the entrance to Crater Lake National Park. It's a nice walk or bike ride to the main resort where you can rent boats, kayaks, and paddle boards. The staff was very friendly even though we camped on the very busy 4th of July weekend. Noise from campers playing music was an annoyance but as soon as we asked the staff to have it turned down the campers responded right away.

Having checked the NP campground out when we were there I don't think we would have had any problem getting in. Diamond Lake is not too far from the park and in hindsight I think is a better location than actually being in the park. The North Entrance to Crater Lake is 13 miles away. Diamond Lake itself is very pretty, and has a great bike trail all the way around it. There is a pizza place just a short walk from the RV park that also serves local craft beer and fills growlers. There is also a resort with a restaurant a few miles up the road. This is a remote area. There is tons of scenery and great hiking etc, but no stores or good restaurants, stock up before you come. The sites are some of the roomiest sites we have seen at an RV park. We were in the loop at the back of the park which has more of a campground feel than the sites at the front. The whole Crater Lake area is a Cell Coverage blackspot. No AT&T or Verizon for the whole week we were there. The park had slow WiFi. They have a decent DVD library which we used as no chance to stream anything out here. The staff here were great. Super friendly. The owner helped us back our trailer into the spot. He was amazing I wish I could fold him up, put him in the truck and pull him out at every back up.
