I had misgivings when as part of the booking process (they don’t do reservations, I was told), they started a Covid inquisition: -Were we vaccinated? -Had we been out of the country in last 14 days? -Did we currently have any Covid symptoms? -Had we been around anyone who had displayed said symptoms? -Were we willing to mask ...moreI had misgivings when as part of the booking process (they don’t do reservations, I was told), they started a Covid inquisition: -Were we vaccinated? -Had we been out of the country in last 14 days? -Did we currently have any Covid symptoms? -Had we been around anyone who had displayed said symptoms? -Were we willing to mask up & maintain 6 feet social distance when outside our site?- and be advised no visitors allowed to our site. Keep in mind that at this time, Oregon is fully open. I was ready at this point to say “Pass” but Hubby was tired of driving. It’s hard to find. Google maps & Apple Maps had us at going past the park. We missed it the first pass through. Signage is hidden because of placement and overgrowth. So, we arrive & after signing a statement to the above questions, we finally see our site. It’s oddly shaped. Wider (kind of) at the back than the front. It’s overgrown. The hook-ups are buried in the overgrowth. To actually hook up, we were all up in the neighbor’s site. His trailer step is fairly close to our site’s sewer dump & electric box. Water was at back of site (required us to use a second hose to reach). Our door when open is about 18 inches from other neighbor’s slide-out. To say it’s tight is an understatement. It’s expensive. $80 plus tax for one night with “full hookup” which equals water, power & sewer. No cable. Weak WiFi. And everything else at the “resort” is closed. I understand why now, we could find a site available in the middle of summer in Cannon Beach. The ONLY thing going for this park is the proximity to downtown & beach. But it’s not worth it.

They don’t tidy or check sites between users. Lots of bits and pieces on ground. Plastic caps, etc. Heavy road noise, difficult angles all over camp. Horses look worse for wear, hoof attention needed. Clean paddock needed and fence repair needed. It’s a one night stopover at best. They may rely on quantity over quality here.

Pro: walking distance to downtown Cannon Beach area and the beach. Cons:Verizon showed service in the area, but we had times when nothing would load due to the many people in the area (was during the PNW heat wave) - hopefully isn’t an issue for you but it was VERY crowded. Cons:Verizon showed service in the area, but we had times when nothing would load due to the many people in the area (was during the PNW heat wave) - hopefully isn’t an issue for you but it was VERY crowded. Staff was incredibly rude when we arrived 20 minutes before “check in time” and wouldn’t speak to us or tell us where we could park until checkin. They were “very busy cleaning sites”. It’s a crappy grass/gravel site. Do they change the bed sheets?!? What!! So we drove near our site we thought we had, of course no one cleaned it while we waited. 2 others in the area we talked to said they wouldn’t ever come back and too had a bad experience. Laundry was closed, I guess due to Covid?!? Our site was TIGHT. If you’re in 22,23, or 24, no way you can use the fire pit if you’re longer than 34’. We couldn’t put our awning all the way out without it being in the road! Site 23 next to us opened their door to our dump hook up and electric box. We called around other places as soon as we arrived to change locations but it was booked everywhere. I’d recommend a different place or at least not using 22, 23, or 24 sites and making sure you come after their checkin time. The brochure said 1, but signs said 1:30. Maybe call ahead and verify. The poor customer service was our biggest complaint. It was a run down rustic campground that was way overpriced but the location was good. Would rather drive in than stay here again. Tight pulling in and tight maneuvering around.
Walking distance to the beach but zero privacy and bad dump hookups

Lose to the beach and town (walking distance). Laundry facilities were clean. Sites had fire pits. Public bathroom was clogged. Zero privacy. Cell reception was okay. Wifi was spotty.

Of the 2 RV options in Cannon beach, these guys definitely have the better location but as everyone else says, I was surprised at the price. Especially considering the upkeep of the campground for the price. I guess you’re paying for location? Beach and town are walking distance. But other than that, it felt a bit run down and not nearly as nice as the alternative RV park on the other side of 101. Id be tempted to stay at the other one next time to compare.

They tried to squeeze way too many sites into too small a space. Our site was not level. You can hear and see everything your neighbor is doing, and right through their window to the next neighbor. The horses are quite expensive. The touristy town of Cannon Beach is walking distance, but that is about it. Will not return.

I made a reservation back in April for August 1-2 and gave a $50 deposit. When our trip changed route due to unforeseen circumstances I called to get a refund when we could no longer make it to Oregon. They said they would not issue the refund because it is their "policy" even though I had called a month in advance to cancel. When I called I was put on eternal hold. My husband then called about 1 week later, was put on eternal hold again, and when he tried calling back, his number was blocked. He then called back on my phone and was able to get through-that is how we know his number has been blocked. This is unethical and extremely unprofessional. We understand that this is only a $50 deposit, but it is now the principal of the matter that we have been treated like this. Do not stay here unless you are absolutely sure you can make it cuz then you will be robbed!
Perfect location, lovely staff, experience depends on site and neighbors...

We did back up to the horse pasture, which my daughter thought was great, and there are some bunnies running around which the kiddos love. Would love to come back here when the weather is nicer (we had cold/rain, no fire, etc.) - if we had fun neighbors and weather to walk to the beach, it would be a great experience:) Nice little place if you are planning on spending most of your time at the beach/in town, or if you don't mind getting social with your neighbors:) You can't beat the location!!!
I didn't know seahorses could grow so large...

Or perhaps it's spelled seahorsi? Either way, our experience her was one of those "we've got a ton to do, but it's off season, so none of it is open, but the price doesn't seem to change" type of situations. On one hand, let's say my left, you can walk to the semi-fabulous little town of Cannon Beach. They've got that big haystack thing people rave about, and the lesser appreciated needles surrounding it. And a really cute candy store. And a brewery. And a bar. Maybe two.On the other hand, let's call it my other left, their were horses at the RV park. I like horses. I don't like to touch them, but I wouldn't eat one. Unless I was a horse eating monster who was hungry enough to...I'm fairly certain we'll come back here again though as I love Ecola State Park, it's Indian Beach is one of my favorites ever and the drive in alone is enough to make it worth the $5 entrance fee. Wish I could say more about the Rv park itself. As it was off season, all of the cool extra KOA-type activities were covered up, locked down and unavailable. We were stuffed into a small grass site which, once our neighbors showed up, we were unable to leave until they moved their RV first. Kind of weird. But not so much Twilight Zone weird as annoying. And since it was raining (which will happen in Oregon I suppose), it wasn't so much annoying as downright freezing cold super annoying. On a side note, Cannon Beach has no gas station. Now we're talking Twilight Zone weird.
