Crane Prairie Resort is on the NE corner of Crane Prairie Reservoir about 30 minutes off Hwy 97. This private RV park includes a store, boat rentals, laundry, showers, and full hook ups. The resort, boats and buildings are rustic but very clean. The RV sites are spacious with full hookups and very well maintained. None of the sites are lakefront but many have a lake view, and that's a good thing as the population of bugs is lower. We saw only a few mosquitos near our campsite while we were there. We prefer being in section 1-20 which seemed to have larger and more private sites than those near the resort store. All sites are gravel with gravel roads. During our stay we rented an Alumaweld boat for the day and also used our kayak on the lake. We saw multiple bald eagles, cranes, loons, blue heron, ducks, geese and frogs. The view from the resort overlooks the South Sister, Broken Top and Mt Bachelor, making it feel like an alpine resort. The staff running the resort were incredibly friendly and attentive. We look forward to going back again!
