We had high expectations based off previous reviews, but what we saw was not was has been previously reported. We stayed one night on 8/15. Spot 18 was shaded, with a gravel pad. Spots were a little close together, but the biggest pain for us was the large rocks on the road and paths. It made walks with the dog uncomfortable not only for our dog's paws, but our feet as well. The pond that they rent kayaks for was covered in pond scum and there's no way we would have went on it. The wifi was great and you could even stream on it! The deluxe cabins looked amazing and were a step up from your normal KOA. The last thing for us was that they push for ratings. They want you to rate them perfectly, even if it's not so that they move up the rankings in KOA. We received multiple notifications to rate them so we did. Probably not what they would have wanted. we would not rule out staying here for one night, but it really was a letdown.

We wanted to go to some place with no surprises, like KOA..In late August, we found our stay very pleasant in a pull through under the trees. The mud that some reviewers wrote about was pretty much dried. We were able to get quite a few over-the-air antenna stations and didn't bother to try the satellite antenna.Driving in , we noticed a campground in the sun on the left side of the office. It's not on the campground map, but appears to be part of KOA with the same furniture on patio sites. It probably accommodates RVers who want to use their satellite antenna. Since it's on higher ground, they probably don't have mud/flooding issues. The pros of the CG are: lots to do -- pool, volleyball, nature walk, tetherball, basketball, and a Gaga Pit(?); well organized; friendly staff; dog friendly with a small playyard, good site size and separation, morning trash pick-up, and short-order food delivered before 6:30 p.m.Cons are: standing green water from a section of dried up Creek back toward the doggy playyard (but no mosquitoes that I saw). The deep foot- and pawprints in the hardened mud toward the dog yard make you know it's not a place you want to go after heavy rains. But it was sunny and bright when we were there, and we had a good stay.

Second, it is not in Fort Smith so if that’s the reason for your visit, check travel times. (If you can, stay at the Fort Smith state park - it’s amazing.) Third and most importantly, our site was under water. 3-4” of standing water on the equipment side which made hooking up electric and water (would not think about doing the sewer) for an overnight stay more nasty and difficult than it should be. The step side was mud. Most sites looked like this. I had to wipe mud off our floor every time we went outside. We threw away our door mat at the campground because it was so wet and muddy. The water had not subsided by the morning with a dry night so it isn’t a short term problem.
Excellent customer service! Now if they could just do something about the mud...

Check-in was contact-less with a reservation. They texted earlier in the day to let us know to pick up our envelope in the night registration box. They charged our card automatically and emailed a receipt. The interior roads and sites are gravel – sort of. They could use a lot more! It looks like they are creating new sites just before the entrance. I wish they would fix up the existing sites first. It had apparently rained recently, and there was mud everywhere – deep mud. We saw many RVs and vehicles with mud all over the tires. Yuck. Some overhanging branches that you cannot avoid. The sites are close together with a strip of grass and trees which do offer some shade. There are fire pits and tired picnic tables. Our site was just long enough for our 45 foot MH and toad. The sites are narrow but mostly level. Utilities were placed fine, and we had no problems. They also pick up trash at your site. Verizon was 4g 2 bars. Satellite would be a problem but they have cable. WII FI was surprisingly good – a first for a KOA. There is some plane noise as there is a nearby airport but it wasn’t intrusive; otherwise, very quiet. Excellent customer service! Quick and friendly response whether by phone, text or in person. There was a truck parked directly in front of us that would have hindered us leaving. Staff came by on a routine check, and asked him to move. Also, the couple next to us were having trouble with the cable, and they sent someone out to help. Kudos!

We were placed towards the back of the campground in a back-in site since they knew we would be there a while. The owners are the NICEST people ever. Super helpful and friendly, always went out of their way to speak to us and our children during our time there. We had never done a long term stay before so it was new to us but it worked out well. Propane prices and electric prices were very reasonable. (you pay electric when doing long term) The grounds were always maintained well. Laundry room and bathroom were always clean. Would highly recommend this campground to anyone.

The staff were very Covid aware and implemented a non contact check in which we appreciated. The sites are level and typical for a commercial RV park. We did not try any of the amenities. The on-site WiFi was very fast until around 5:30 PM when everyone must have jumped on to stream Netflix. Verizon cell signal was sufficient to stream video. This will become a regular stop for us when traveling cross country on I-40.

We stayed only one night as this was just an overnight stop. It is close to the interstate but there is very little road noise. Check in was a breeze and we did not have to unhook our 44ft 5th wheel (62ft overall rig). It was quiet all night and had plenty of space to walk our dogs, and also has a fenced off leash area.

The sites are just average spacing. I had a premium site due to a problem with my reservation but didn't have to pay the additional $15.00. If the weather was nicer, the premium site for the additional cost could possibly be worth it. It would include grill and patio table and chairs, and a large front yard. It was completely booked during my stay so may have to make reservations if coming on weekend. Other amenities, include a pool, fishing pond, volleyball court and playground. There is pizza as a lunch or dinner menu option. If you are into lodging at cabins, there are two deluxe cabins that looked very nice. One mother I asked, said she thought it was definitely worth the price for the loft style cabin. The regular style KOA cabins overlook the fishing pond.I use a surge protector and did not notice any electrical issues and most were running A/C so don't know if they fixed it.
