The owners are pretty strict so if you can’t remember to turn off your outside light by 9:30p, there will be a knock at your door to make sure it happens. If this kind of thing rankles you, you might skip. If you appreciate quiet and neat, this is the place for you. Pretty good internet.

Very friendly and helpful owners. They bought the declining campground and have done an amazing job of fixing it up in the last couple of years. Very quiet and relaxing. One of their rules is exterior lights out at 9:30 so everyone can fully enjoy the night sky and they enforce it. A really nice campground. We have stayed here several times and will again!

Owners of the park are very helpful and courteous and give you everything you need to enjoy your visit to Acadia National Park. From places to see and eat or do a little shopping. They are consistently working and cleaning to make sure that your stay is enjoyable. We did not have a full hookup, but honey wagon service is available every day and there is a dump station on site. Clean, hot showers and area to wash dishes if you want. Love this place with its views and small trail to the waters edge of Flanders Bay.

Great little place. Site B accommodated a big rig - others looked big rig friendly as well (back-in).Internet was a bit touch and go (common campsite wi-if), so be sure to have hotspots if you need to work. Verizon and ATT both had great service.Owner very nice - he helped me with an issue on my rig.

The campground is on Flander's Bay with a beautiful view of Mount Desert Island. We put our kayaks in the bay right from the campground for some scenic paddling. The campground is a good 30-40 minute ride from Bar Harbor and very close to Schoodic Peninsula. There are 2 country stores near the campground, lots of beautiful towns along the coast, and nearby lakes. We stayed on roomy site G which worked out perfect for our little barkers. The campground is one of our favorites, satisying our expectations with that extra bonus of camping in a hard to match unique beautiful setting. In the middle of summer, we didn't use or need A/C once. AT&T cell service was the best we've experienced -- a consistent 5 bars. We could have spent our entire summer here and yes, we plan to return. A heartfelt thanks and shout out to Sue and Peter for their warm and welcoming hospitality! We camped at Acadia Seashore Camping and Cabins (formerly Mountain View Campground) in a Motorhome.

The grounds are well maintained, strong WIFI, great cell coverage (Verizon,) new power and water pedestals. This was such a relaxing, quiet and peaceful campground we extended our stay. With all that being said the park’s best assets are the owners, Sue and Peter were welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality added to the experience. Definitely be back!

This will be a real gem with such an awesome view and location. There are new owners (who are very friendly) and many improvements are on the way. Closest to the water are tent sites, and RV sites which are 30 amp and water. These sites are pretty close together, short, and un-level. Would love to see these sites upgraded with 50 amp and longer, level sites. The sites nearer to route 1 are longer with decent spacing and are fairly level. Most of these sites have a slice of a water view. Being close to route 1, it is noisy especially during the day but it quiets down significantly at night (at least during the shoulder season). There is no OTA or cable but satellite worked fine in our site( it wouldn’t in most). Verizon was very strong with 4g 5 bars. The campground WII FI was just okay -it either worked or didn’t. The main downside is the dust from the dirt roads. Our toad was dirty from top to bottom just from people driving by. I hate speed bumps but they would be handy because despite posted signs to drive slowly most people don’t. The water supply here is great – hair feels good, water tastes good, and washes off cleanly. You will witness some beautiful sunsets. There is a path down to the water where you can walk around on rocks and perhaps see seals chasing their dinner. Seafood markets abound here and everything we bought was fresh and delicious. It’s only 10 miles to the Schoodic part of Acadia. We spent a lot of time at this special place and it is soooo much quieter than Mount Desert in Bar Harbor. We did visit Mount Desert a couple of times and it takes 45-60 minutes to get there depending on traffic. We fell in love a little bit with this area, so we will definitely return!

The sites are grassy and the roads gravel and dirt which get a lot of grit and dirt in our shoes. The upper full hook ups do not have a view. Our site was a pull through but it was a little oddly placed. If you are among these sites, you need to stagger the placement of your unit so you have a harbor view and not the backside of the trailer next to you. There is a center grassy area for truck parking and where the kids all play and make a ton of noise! There is a honey wagon service for $10. The showers are hot and good pressure. It’s about 40 minutes from Bar Harbor and 30 from Schoodic. No grocery near by but a good deli just down the road a ways. The office has RV basics for sale and is next to a kayak tour company. The washer/ dryer is in the owners tiny house for $5 a load. I believe the new owners will continue to transform the campground into a five star!

The new owners have made huge investments in upgrading and improving the park--larger pads, new electrical pedestals, new wifi access points, etc.--and they continue to work on it. It's a bit further from Acadia NP than the parks on Mount Desert Island and in Trenton, but still a reasonable drive (and about the same distance from shopping in Ellsworth, the nearest town), so don't let that deter you. But the views! Right on Flanders Bay, looking toward Cadillac Mountain, with incredible sunsets. You'd be hard-pressed to find a lovelier campground at twice the price. The owners are some of the most customer-service-oriented folks you've ever met. They will do everything they can to make your stay a great one. And they are obsessive about cleanliness in the restrooms and common areas. Campground wifi is outstanding in both coverage and bandwidth. This park is a gem and will only get better as time goes on.

It’s right on Flanders Bay so great views of the waterSome tent sites and some RV sites. Water and electric for most but a few full hookups. Quiet park. Cater to people without children but we did see one or two teens. Great view of Cadillac Mountain and close to Schoodic Point part of Acadia National Park which is more ‘Maine-like’ than Bar Harbor. We actually stayed here July 22-24, 2019 but I couldn’t review because of service on the road.
