We were just passing through and there were few choices in this area of NE Ohio; we would travel on rather than stay here again.Although WiFi is advertised it is virtually nonexistent. WiFi access was one reason we booked this spot; for the cost, we expected service. The campground also appears to be seriously understaffed and most staff members were teenagers who were inefficient and inexperienced - check-in was slow.Only positive was that it was quiet.

Mixed emotions about it. There was a lot of conflicting information in the paperwork handed out when we checked in and what actually happened. Examples: - Pool hours listed as 9AM - 8PM on paperwork, but sign at pool had varied hours- Garbage pick up listed as 8AM - 8PM, but they didn’t come around to pick up in the evening several times. Because of this, raccoons got into the bags of trash people left for pick up. (Only dumpster located all the way at front of park, outside the gates). - Check in/out times. Check out on paperwork listed as 11AM, but received a text from the KOA stating check out is noon. In addition to this conflicting information, several of the sites were on grass (water/electric sites) and very muddy. Looked like it was a perpetual issue as there were several deep ruts in all of the grass sites. Our full hookup site was gravel and was level. Several seasonal / long term residents. Staff was friendly. Pool was clean. Offered fire wood and ice delivery to sites. Good location to see Cuyahoga Valley National Park as it’s fairly centrally located. Park was quiet.

Updated sewer connection as well as electric. Quiet at night. The not so good stuff: gate entry pad installed way too low making it very difficult to enter code in a ‘regular’ car let alone a truck or motorhome; very (underline ‘very’) narrow unpaved, uneven roads leading to our site (or any other sites); extremely uneven sites making it quite the task to level; we had a long pull through but very narrow in width forcing us to step on muddy wet grass. We’ve experienced some of these at other campgrounds— but was hurts is the $57/night (with my KOA member 10%)... way off the chart. Connection w/Verizon was ok including the streaming power.

KOAs have standards which are most often met.

If you take Cedar road you can avoid the heavy interstate traffic. Two appointments were at Streetsboro Cleveland clinic site. This was 10 to 15 mins away. The site was great. Level, good cable, good cell phone service for t-mobile, staff very nice and helpful Great place for Cleveland clinic patients. We had one concern. As you come or go on the road there was a walnut tree dropping walnuts. They could do some damage to a car or RV. One other bit of dislike was it was close to Halloween(this is not the campground problem), but the last site on the only way out, had a fake bloody head hanging from a tree. I found this every distasteful. I think if anyone had family or a friend that had hung themselves this would be hurtful for them to see. I felt bad that someone would have to look at that. If that site belong to the campground ......

It is a nice KOA that is lower priced than many I have looked at but also not as fancy. There is a mix of different kinds of sites. Some seemed to be seasonal and/or permanent but they were in separate sections. Our site 600 was not very level and very muddy. It had been raining a lot but in the 10 days we were there it never dried. We had full hookups, picnic table and firepit. There was a small fish and release pond that we were near and could see out our window. It was very busy with families on the weekend but quiet during the week. The park has a gated entrance, has laundry (5 washers, 2 broken, and 4 dryers), store, propane, pool (that was closed for the season) and playgrounds. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were escorted to our site. Trash and recycling bags are provided and are picked up at your site. Wifi was not too stable, cable was OK.

A lot of long-term spots with nightly ones mixed in. The office and pool were nice - we didn't check out the game room or other activities though. My biggest complaint is that the sewer pipes didn't have the screw-in threads that most do. Our sewer hose sat in the pipe, but it wasn't a tight seal, so you'd get sewer smell coming out now and then. Didn't seem to be specific to our site since we noticed it quite a bit walking by other sites, too. Also, we were lucky to have an end site, so our picnic table/fire ring was along a road; however, since sites are pretty close together, many sites would basically walk out their front door and be right next to the sewer line. Not really ideal. Our site was easy to pull in. Most others we looked at seemed equally easy - no large objects or trees really blocking the way, and you had plenty of space to avoid the picnic table and pedestal. Staff were friendly, and we were able to get packages delivered to the office. It was 15 min from Cuyahoga Valley National Park which was our primary reason to be there. There is also a nice town park just down the road from the campground. We rode our bikes there from the campground, and then rode around the park loop. The park is also close to big box stores, if you need to resupply while you're in the area.Wifi was fine most of the time. Got a little slow a couple nights, but better than most places. Cell reception was good as a backup.

Park was convenient to the Cuyahoga Valley NP, and featured many normal KOA amenities. Our rate was better than expected for a full hookup site at a KOA ($37). Sites were mostly level with good spacing; park was not very full when we stayed. Bathrooms and showers were very well maintained. Wifi was serviceable but not great.

  • Electric and water sites were in the grass.

I camped here as a base to visit friends. Only slept and showered here. $40 bucks for a grass site was kind of steep to me. The park itself was okay. Typical RV park feel. Restrooms were adequate.

We camp in a Little Rig “Tear Drop” style RV only 15' long w/o toilet or shower ~ plus we like to eat outdoors using the picnic table and set up our dining canopy for sun and weather protection and thus rely on condition of campgrounds facilities and being nearby our site ~ so our critique is focused in that area.Park has 2 restroom/shower buildings – PROS and CONS of each. CONS: We camped close to very old outdated restroom/shower building. While set up unisex style with private separate toilet/sink/shower rooms, all were dismal not cheery looking in need of some TLC w/new fixtures and updating,.Rooms were sized ok, but had poor ventilation and steamed up quickly and no way to escape the air but open the door, then you’re exposed. Showers were very small/tight w/little room to move around. Rubber mats helps to absorb the water on the floor – but still wear your clogs. PROS: is the shelves and hooks for your stuff plus a small stool for sitting [all thoughtful convenience necessities for campers] Also the newer shower/restroom building located adjacent to the pool near the entrance of the grounds is very nice All unisex rooms set up the same way but larger, more modern bright and clean. Nice if some day they tear down old building and replace with copy of newer building as described. We camped at the back end of the campground on the grass and among the trees, which was very nice roomy and quiet. No issues there at all – nice area for big rvs down to tents. Campground layout was good w/pool, good condition gavel interior roads, cabins for rent, permanent and seasonal sites too – all well kept and neat looking. Appearance of grounds gets 5 star rating; it shows management cares.

  • Excellently run and maintained campground that is a perfect base to explore the Cuyahoga Valley National Park - just don’t expect to commune with nature in total solitude.

The spaces have adequate separation and there are many mature trees throughout the campground to provide shade. The park facilities are clean and well maintained. While there is a large “seasonal” camping area (long-term residents), even those were quite tidy and well kept. Many of the sites are FHU pull-throughs, although there are also back-in and more primitive sites as well as rental cabins. Sites and roads are packed gravel with grassy areas between. This is a large park so the amount of shade and separation can vary, but I didn’t see any spaces where you were packed in like sardines. The staff were, without fail, exceptionally friendly and helpful. They guide you to your site, you can put out garbage and recycles to be picked up at your site twice daily. In addition to the usual, the camp store has homemade fudge and hand-dipped ice cream – Yummmm! The laundry facilities were spotless. I loved the antiques decorating the store too. The park has several amenities that would be especially fun for families. There is a swimming pool and lakes for fishing (catch and release only, no license required), playgrounds and outdoor games. Several large covered picnic pavilions also make it a great spot for group gatherings. We were here over Labor Day weekend (in fact they accommodated us a day early when we couldn’t find a place to stay enroute on Friday), so the campground was very full. Even so, we saw no rowdy groups and it was remarkably quiet after dark. As a plus, you are close to several small towns with shopping. Don’t miss the Hudson Farmer’s Market on Saturday morning. The Costco in Boston Heights had diesel fuel that was far cheaper than anywhere else. We had 2 bars of Verizon 4G. The park Wi-Fi worked well until around 7pm when the park was full and then is just died. After the holiday weekend, it worked great without any disruption.
