One of the best RV Parks we've stayed at. Convenient to the city of Toledo and more importantly the city of Perryville which has all the stores (Walmart, etc). The gravel pads were ok, fairly level and the sites were large enough for privacy yet comfortable for visiting the neighbors. The restrooms & showers were a bit dated but clean & useable. Laundry had newer commercial front-loading washers & dryers. Nice small store when well stocked (end of season). The only issue would be that for the sites closest to Luckey Rd (County) might not like the traffic noise, although intermittent.

We have never left a campground before but this one just wasn't worth it. The small grass area was really unkept, there were large pieces of fake turf down which was really just a wet carpet. The ground was completely saturated with standing water everywhere (certainly not the KOA's fault but didn't help). The plants around it were all dead or dying and you are on top of everyone else. Although we generally don't love KOA's they are usually a bit nicer than this. There are really nice county parks around like Wolf Creek Park which is where we ended up and it's MUCH nicer for a lot less money. We definitely would not stay here again.

Just passing thru but it served our needs. Most sites are shaded which is nice on a summer day. Has a nice FHU PT. Pool is not open but kids liked the blow up water thing. Camp store sells your basic camp store stuff. Pizza delivered to site which was good cause not much else around. Decent wifi as we were able to stream early eve. Very quiet as it is a few miles from the interstate. Overall, it did the job. I would give it 3 1/2 stars but couldn't figure out how to do that

Was just passing through and needed a place to stay in Toledo for the night. This place was very clean and organized. Staff was very friendly. Sites were nice, pull throughs were a little close but not too bad. We enjoyed our stay here. I would definitely come back again if we were passing through the area.

It has a great camping vibe and is beautiful, with tons of shade trees, rock-covered roads and sites, and great concrete patios for the picnic tables. Owners Bill, Gae and their daughter, Laura, were super friendly and our check-in was handled with care by Nancy and Terry. You can tell they all truly care about this campground.Since we travel with an Airstream, we didn't use the restrooms, so I can't review those. However, the laundry room was a great surprise for a smaller campground. It has four, new, stacked front-load washers and dryers -- better than most even larger campgrounds we've stayed at.All in all, we would definitely recommend this campground. I think sometimes people forget that you can't compare every KOA against each other. This is a small "Journey" KOA. You can't compare a "Journey" to a "Holiday" and certainly not to a "Resort."AT&T and Verizon worked great. Couldn't check the T-Mobile since we were out of data.

Average at best for a KOA. We were there just one night and coincidentally were assigned the muddiest site. They boast receiving "The President's Award for 2020 and 2021; not by my reconing. Convenient to Interstates.

Nice KOA. GPS took us to Luckey Rd where the campground (CG) was located. There were no KOA signs until you get to the CG. We pulled in and check in was easy and quick. We proceeded to FHU pull-through site 504 with no problems. We hooked into the cable, which was good along with their WiFi. We received 3 bars on Verizon and 2 bars on AT&T. The CG had a nice forest setting. This KOA was perfect for our one night stay on the way to Elkhart, IN. We stayed at Monroe CO/Toledo North KOA back in September—see our review. Toledo East is not as big and with less amenities but is hands down the better KOA. When we departed the CG, Waze wanted us to turn left on Luckey Rd, don't do it—go right. Going to the left there were tight turns and a hilly/rough railroad crossing to get back to the interstate. Toledo East will now be our go-to CG when traveling through the area.

And the sites are nicer because they aren't stacked on top of each other. And more peaceful without all the kids running around and swimming. Now for the negatives: The staff wasn't the friendliest, not rude but just seemed like I was bothering them . The signage to get to the campground was non-existent. You have to use GPS since it isn't right off the highway or major roads and there are no signs pointing the way. Getting into to Toledo takes awhile. And it's a much smaller campground so full hook-up sites are pretty limited.Cell phone signal strength was weaker than expected. It works but I am guessing on a busy weekend it's going to be pretty slow if you are streaming or otherwise using data.

I mean, it was a camp site. It was pretty full but really nothing to write home about. Things were generally clean but not everything was well maintained. The staff was very nice and attentive though.

They are in the process of restoring the area/roads as the main area had fresh gravel on the entry and exit roads. We stayed another night, a week later, in site 503 as well. Both were pull thru sites and had poured concrete for the patio. Not all amenities were open as it was still early in the season so cannot rate those. Based on the cleanliness, quality of the pull thru sites, and access we give it 5 stars. The resort may not have the 'finesse/polish' of other 5 KOAs but its a great place to stay the night.
