From the décor and horse barn, etc. , this felt much like a Western Ranch. Also had the size of it as well. Probably the largest/most spread out campground at which we have stayed. As the other reviewer said, you need some type of vehicle to get around to the amenities. We had just purchased our motorhome (and got the free stay with the purchase) and had not bought a toad/bicycles yet so we felt a bit isolated, but had no problem with that for a short stay. We would like to go back now with our extra vehicles and take more advantage of the park itself. As part of our free stay package, we had to listen to the Travel Resorts of America sales pitch. We had a very courteous salesman and the plan did have nice perks, but pretty rich for our blood. We stayed in late April and had a surprise snowfall--1-3"--so glad we took advantage of filling our propane when we first arrived. Also we took the "scenic" route getting there, going over quite a bit of gravel road/county route travel. We'd suggest following the campground's directions for a smoother ride. Google Maps sent us astray again! :)

This is the address for Rocky Fork Ranch Resort, which is associated with TRA, so I did not have to pay a fee because I am a member. This was a huge resort, incredibly hilly. Had to change sites upon first arrival because the electric was so far from the site and had a bit of trouble leveling in the final site. Once settled, though, this is a beautiful place. Must bring or rent a gas powered golf cart for the space and hills. We also rented a cabin for my parents. Cabin was quite dated with a trick to the water heater, but had a nice back porch and lots of space. Very nice laundry facility with plenty of machines and space.Truly enjoyed the archery lessons and horse back riding. Spent a day traveling around to Salt Fork State Park (had lunch and dinner in the beautiful lodge) which is quite close and thrilled over the hills of Irish Ridge Road. We never spotted a sasquatch, but enjoyed looking!
