Not a lot of room between sites but we did not feel like we were right on top of our neighbors. They accept mixed recycling on-site, the only campground we found on our 21 day trip that did. Their no-contact check-in was very nice, we had all of the info we needed the day before we arrived. Fast Wi-Fi. They were responsive to text messages. We would definitely come back here if we were passing through.

We stayed here for an overnight. Park was immaculately clean and well-maintained. Sites were level and hook ups well laid out. Owners very friendly and residents quiet and kept to themselves. The other reviews about spacing are accurate: these sites are pretty tight.

New restrooms just completed this summer. Sites are fairly level and close together. Our sire was close to US 40/W Broad St, so we had some traffic noise. Our site, and those near us were very long -plenty of room to park two cars with our 40’ RV on the gravel pull-through. The best feature of Alton is its location close to I-270 and Columbus. We had a solid 3 bars of Verizon with our window MIMO antenna, and sometimes had 4 bars.

We probably should have realized our selection would be limited this time of year when looking for water and electric. We arrived at Alton RV park and where greeted by the very friendly people that run the park. I requested a site for three days and was given #19 which is located near the front of the park close to the road. The electric hookups where good and the site has water and sewer hookups which where also good. As it is the middle of march the bath houses were closed so i cannot speak about them. The only negative to speak of was the highway noise which is substantial, but it does quiet down later in the evening. Food stores at within a mile or so as is gas and diesel. Fast food abounds in the area. The wifi was good, i streamed youtube videos and youtube tv.

  • Convenient To Columbus. Great stop-Over Campground.

It is not someplace we would have stayed at otherwise but it was not a bad campground. It's just that it's more of a stop over campground than a destination campground and it is excellent for that purpose as it is close to interstates and state routes and convenient to Columbus' West side. There were no firepits which was a bummer for us as we enjoy our campfires. The campground is geared towards larger RV's than our small T@B. There didn't appear to be much to do at the campground and the staff was not overly friendly. Not rude by any means, just not overly friendly. Most of the sites are tight. Not all, though, as we were actually in one that was pretty spacious but it was the only site that was not geared towards larger RV's. This site (can't remember the site number, sorry) was somewhat shaded and only had 30 amp electric and no water/sewer, all other sites were 30/50 amp full hook-up and fairly open with not much shade. We will stay there again as we are expecting to go to Haydocy & ASK again in the future, but we won't go there just to camp.

Have been traveling over 4 months to more than 50 rv parks and this was the first one to turn me away because I have a restored 1975 airstream. Every park has the same general rule and i've received nothing but compliments everywhere i've been, never been turned away, but this park was the first to enforce the age rule. When I offered to email them pictures of how it looked and show off its great condition I was told it didn't matter. When I explained that I was a recently separated military veteran just trying to move back to my hometown of Columbus and start a new career they told me they didn't care. The RV/Camper community is full of great people and businesses. Columbus Ohio is full of amazing citizens. This place is not a representation of either
