This is a family owned campground. Everyone is very kind and helpful. Campground is well maintained and the sites are all level. We like staying here because our total length with rig and hauler is 70’ and we can get in and out with very little difficulty.
Can't wait to stay again

One of the best overall campgrounds. Everyone is personable and helpful. Everything from the bathrooms, laundry room to the grounds all well maintained. You can tell this family cares about your stay on their property.

Cell is superb (4 bars of 5G with downloads of almost 200mbps on att) and the wifi is useable for general tasks (not so much video calls). Good looking pool, great playground and game room/arcade. Super clean, sites are huge and super long as well as very close to level. Trees are well spaced throughout to provide shade. We didn’t have time to do so but lots of Lincoln activities very close. Walmart is also 10 mins down the road.
Great Campground.

Called to make a reservation and they were very friendly and helpful on the phone. We arrived after the office had closed but one employee was still there. He still helped get us checked in and to our site. Sites are nice and big. We had a pull thru and it was more than enough to accommodate our 36' Tiffin pulling a 16' enclosed trailer. Didn't have time to use any of the amenities as we were only there for an overnight but everything looked very well cared for. If we need a campground in this area again we will definitely be back.

Staff pays attention to the details. Easy to navigate, sites are long and adequately spaced out. Utility connections can be a little on the inconvenient side, but normal water hose and electrical cables should be fine. We needed to break out a 15-foot sewer hose to reach our connection. No big deal. Our site was shaded and plenty of room for our Jeep. The campground is close to the interstate, so there's a bit of road noise, but not bad. Springfield is an easy place to get around, so although the campground is on the outskirts, its only 20 minutes to the Lincoln Presidential Museum, house, tomb.We tested the WiFi internet connection and found that it worked, but we used our Verizon LTE unlimited plan instead as it tested to be faster.

While realizing that it was still "off season", there was no reason for the unfriendly attitude at the reception/check in area. Large room but very few camp store items available. Signs abound for driving your rig through the roads, lots of switchbacks so make sure you read the signs - would be hard to figure out how to get where you are going if you got turned around! Pull-thru site was adequate - long enough but narrow, flat, gravel with very ruff (unmanicured) grass between sites - with almost no other rigs on the grounds, I was surprised that they put is right next to another large rig (actually was the camp host). The host kept driving around on the golf cart, stopping to tell us how to back in, how to put down our jacks, not to move the picnic table. When set up, we wanted a campfire and used some wood that we had brought with us. Knowing the usual rules were to NOT bring in wood, my husband went back to the campstore to buy some and the (unfriendly) person there said not to worry, we could burn our own. Obviously, that was wrong since the gestapo on the golf cart came back and insisted that she would have never said that. He was wrong. We avoided him for the rest of the weekend. Laundry area was clean, there was a swimming pool but was a bit too cool to use (it wasn't clean) and there was a derelict mini-golf course that needed help. We tried to play using our own clubs and balls (again, lady in store said it was ok) but could only do a few holes that weren't damaged. Close to some Route 66 locations and a beautiful covered bridge in a nearby park. Also close to Springfield (about 20 minutes to downtown) but on a busy freeway access road. Noise wasn't a problem for us but could be for others. Lots of shaded sites that looked more promising that ours. Won't be back but you may find it OK.
