Lots of families with kids but everyone was pleasant. Nice to have full hook-ups. We camp mostly in state parks but our site was fine for our short stay. Plenty to do if you have kids pool, mini golf, and jumping pad. We took our kayak to the Yadkin River our 1 full day but we were good heading on our way after 2 nights. Worked well for a short stopover.

Between the tired looking entrance and the poorly maintained full time campers (I assume based on the the amount of junk and cars), it left a lot to be desired. With the cost of spot rent, you’d think it would be in better shape. Clean up the campground please, it could be great.

The grounds were well kept but dated. The swimming pool was very large and there were lots to do for the kids such as a playground, mini-golf and a pond. Just a heads up, this park easily has 80% of the spaces occupied by long term/seasonal renters. I checked " I would visit again" but it would only be for the convenience of the location being just off of I40 near Statesville, NC and not to stay for multiple days. We did not take photos (heavy rain) and due to the very short stay, we did not test the wifi or cable hook up.
