A gem of a campground - It's relatively small, excellently maintained, large sites, & excellent staff (always on site). There are always festive activities planned on weekends if you choose to participate. The campground is bordered by the town's greenway on one side with the river flowing peacefully just beyond. A quick little walking path through a wooded area gets you to the dog park/enclosure & a city park. (Be aware the dog park is open to the city as it is adjacent to the park but is maintained by Riverwalk). We love this beautiful part of NC - there is so much to do from hiking, river activities, visiting the wineries scattered around the area, a flour mill (nice for us bakers!). Whether you choose to explore the region or hang at the campground, you can't go wrong!

Riverwalk has quickly become one of our favorite campgrounds. Always a very relaxing time and so much fun, the food trucks are a nice addition to the fun. We enjoy walking the greenway and also love to visit Angry Troll over in Elkin. Highly recommend for families or just a kid free weekend.

There is a community park for the kids to play with a community dog park. They do have a man made pound for the kids and dogs to play in. There is some cute stores near by for shopping , butcher shops, local restaurants. Mt. Airy is about 30 minutes away. Wi-Fi is good when park is not full, can be hard sometimes to get on. All site are gravel. Extra parking for other cars. $5 a day for extra parking pass. Definitely bring rain boots on rainy days. Can get muddy. Prices for sites have increased since last year. Now normal rates are Signature Site:$80 per night Standard Site: $65 per night

Immaculately maintained with love and attention to both detail and comfort for campers. This place had so many amenities that are unique. Love the swim pond, pavilion with picnic tables and adjacent game area. Small detail but thought it wonderful....hammocks hanging all over the place! We took full advantage of the river front trail, proximity to Elkin, and awesome huge dog park. Cannot forget to mention the added bonus of Saturday food trucks and brews. We were able to overlap our stay for two weekends and both were SO amazing. Great food, drink, music, and Polar Plunge for a good cause. Just goes to show how involved these owners are and how devoted they are to their RV park and the community!

But we were impressed. The sites are nice and clean, level and big enough for big rigs. It is easy to get in/out of the sites. The only challenge was entering the park in a big rig towing, we were surprised by the short but steep hill turning down into the campground. It is doable, but be aware. The river walk is lovely and the dog park (which appears to be provided by the campground owners for the general community) was large and clean. Overall we liked this place and will stay here again for sure!

The owners and staff give you the feeling of being home for a trip not like some of the bigger RV parks. It's a welcome site to see the owners so involved with the park and overall experience of everyone that stays with them. The sites are mostly level and are hard pack gravel all services( sewer, water & electric ) are well marked and kept in very good condition. There is a family atmosphere to the park which everyone likes. They go out of their way to make the best of your stay, on Saturdays they always have something planned to bring the campers together, while we where there it was axe throwing truck, taco truck, ice cream truck and a craft beer truck. There's a wonderful trail adjacent to the park for a nice nature walk along the Yadkid river. They have cornhole, horseshoes, connect 4 , community fire pit and the swimming pond. There's just so many wonderful things to say about this RV park and everyone that works there. Like I said it was our first time well it did take us by surprise when we entered the park of the main road the road down to the park is kind steep but easily navigated and once down at bottom of hill it opens up to the park. To me its the top of my return to RV parks and we'll be booking trips back for 2022 and beyond.

Easy access a little more than a mile from I-77 and upon arrival, the camp staff greeted us outside before we were able to stop at the office, had us checked in and escorted us to our awesome level pull through site that our 40' rig with Toad easily fit. The staff mentioned they do have high water pressure and offered to provide a regulator if needed. As to not be redundant of all the other positive reviews, would like to add that there is a new bark park that has to be close to a 1/4 acre with 4' fence that our dogs absolutely loved and the park even has running water and a couple of bowls to fill for the pets to enjoy. over all the park was very quiet, clean, very well maintained and planning to return.

The Greenway adjacent to the RV park was a wonderful, shaded place to walk next to the river. The private pond/beach was great for cooling off. Bath house was clean. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly. WiFi was slow at times but it worked for using our cell phones just fine. We loved being so close to historic Elkin and the eateries that were there including Southern on Main. Trains come through close by but I slept right through them. The Yadkin River Valley was beautiful and we spent a day motorcycle riding to Stone Mountain Falls and Mt. Airy. We also enjoyed a day doing part of the “Surrey Sonker Trail”...tasting strawberry/rhubarb, apple, peach and black cherry sonkers in three cities close to the park gave us a sugar high but delish!
