The host/owner Phillys is wonderful! Check in was a breeze. She was very helpful and personally led us to our site. Our site was a pull through right on the pond. Sites are gravel and fairly level. The campground was very quiet and clean. Not exactly sure of the number of spots but my guess would be 30ish. There is a bath house and a small golf course on site. The campground borders the huge Chowan river that you can access from the campground. You’re only about 15 minutes back to Edenton, NC. Tip: Follow the directions that Phillys gives you and look for the reflective blue “camping” signs at each turn. This is a hidden gem and we will definitely be back anytime we’re in this area. We did hear hound dogs barking at times when sitting outside at night as others mentioned. There is a dog training facility across the woods but we didn’t mind it.

  • Great Campground, friendly and accommodating staff.

Super nice and quiet campground. We were on a lake front spot and enjoyed the sunsets, turtles & ducks. This campground has a fishing pond and a 9 hole golf course. The sites were very spacious with picnic tables and fire rings. Very close to the historic town of Edenton, NC.

  • Nice, quiet and clean.

The campground is well maintained and sites are not crowded on top of each other. 50 amp and 30 amp electric, water and sewer hookups available. There is also a tent area tucked into the trees. WiFi seemed to be throughout the campground with around 3 meg speeds. There is an activity building with pool tables and laundry for $1.50 a load. There is a private pond for catch and release fishing with no state license required. Also a nine hole regular style golf coarse and paddle boats. They have a concert hall where music shows are held on Friday nights. There is no ATT service on phones, but we were able to get 2-3 meg service on our Nighthawk hotspot with an external antenna.
