I was in site 9 which is the largest and also parallel to the river so my whole side had the river view (but sewer and utilities were on the wrong side...so bring extra hoses). We sat down at the river and if the water was warmer (April in NC Mtns) then you could swim. We saw lots of fishermen and a family of Elk in the river. The road is very close, but not too busy, so running the A/C helps drown out the few cars that go by at night. We biked to the Fire Mountain MTB trails which are awesome!AT&T was barely functional, but with my external antenna the cellular router gave mostly acceptable data speeds. Verizon was a lot better on my nephews iPhone 12. T-mobile was non-existant.There is VisitCherokee wifi that you can get outside your rig and use for a limited # of hours each day.
