It was a delight to have such quiet and peacefulness at night and to be lulled to sleep by the rushing creek. While the refurbishment of this campground is a work-in-progress by the new owners, we couldn't have been more pleased with the acommodations. The owners keep an extremely clean and safe campground and are always ready to address any questions or concerns. They were ready for us on arrival, assisting with navigating through the narrow entryway and into our site. And unlike some other campgrounds that say they are pet-friendly and then have an exhaustive list of regulations that appear to be designed to discourage any pets, Kirklands really does welcome responsible pet owners and their well-behaved dogs. This is an important service to those of us who travel with our dogs. Something to keep in mind for drivers who are new to towing or have extremely large rigs... the road to the campground is tight, very twisty, and ultimately turns into dirt. Be prepared to go slowly and take up the entire road if necessary.

This camp is certainly off the beaten path, but it is a jewel in the woods. We enjoyed full hook ups, clean power and well water, easy connection to sewer. Our lot was a little sloped but on clean gravel. Jason, owner, pitched it in the middle of a down pour to get us set up. WiFi is at the office, we were able to get a good signal outside of the 17 ft Jayco Hummingbird. Bathhouse is clean and smells fresh everyday, 2 showers each, washer dryer available. Entry to camp is a little tricky for rigs over 30ft, narrow bridge. Jason will help direct you over the bridge, so wait for him if you need help. Trout pond on site with plenty of 2lb + fish, $7 per lb, must keep fish. We would return tomorrow to kirklands creek.
