These cabins are in a great location, but honestly, we all doubt that they have been cleaned in a long time. The nightly rate is high and you will have campers surrounding your cabin, making you feel like you don't have privacy. The people working there are somewhat unfriendly and don't seem to care if you are having a negative experience. Calling to get directions, led to an uncertain employee who couldn't give me directions, except for the address. This won't help in the mountains if your GPS goes out due to lack of signal. If you don't mind a cabin that is rustic and possibly uncleaned from visitor to visitor, this is your place. Sorry..., I wish to support small businesses, but our group was not supported for this visit.

  • Nice, rustic campground on the river

We had a spot next to the river and it was beautiful! The park hosts were not overly friendly but took care of our needs. The showers were gross. Washing machines were kind of old, one didn’t work, but they were cheap and did the job. Nice game room. Pool available but we were there in the winter. Pet friendly. WiFi only works at the office and game room, not at the sites. Convenient to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. Very peaceful rustic getaway. Fishing in the river. Quiet.
