Had to burn my own trash since I was in long term camping. Trash receptacles only for short term campers, RV it tent. INFESTED with mice. I hate killing anything but I had to use mouse poison after we moved to get rid of mice. I have been living in my RV for years in Texas and North Carolina. We stayed 3 nights at campsite #9 and two nights at the full hookup site. The nightly rate was $25 for dry camping and $45 for full hookup. All sites are located on the creek. Gorgeous location with great fishing. Views were unbeatable. Conveniently located near a gas station. Owner was very welcoming and helpful.

  • Shaded site in a farmers field by a trout stream, nice!

Stayed 5/28-5/30. Our favorite GA Boondocking spot was taken and so we found this on HIPCAMP, Ed C’s land. Didn’t know it was part of a formal campground. Our favorite GA Boondocking spot was taken and so we found this on HIPCAMP, Ed C’s land. Didn’t know it was part of a formal campground. There are 5 sites that have full hook ups on the Valley River, then 2 cabins, and then past a fence in a large (I Mean LARGE) field there are another 4 sites right on the river (6-9). Sites had good separation and some had the shade of overhanging branches but still good access for solar. Each of the 4 sites had a fire ring and that is it, perfection! Ground was fairly level. Site 6 is the best as it is the first and you can angle everything looking up the river so no other campers in view. Site 9, the last site, is the second best as it had the most separation from other sites.Could make phone calls, and send texts while right by the river. However accessing internet a no go and even with booster was slow to access. Not far from the Nantahala Outdoor Center right where the Appalachian Trail crosses(about 30 minute drive). The manger, Nicole, was great about making sure we were in the right spot when we arrived. Upon departure, she told us that the dump station was included for the dry camping spot pricing, a nice surprise.Would highly recommend the field camping location.
