It is a good sized park. Looks like they are doing some upgrades/expansion but far enough away from all the camping so it didn't impact my stay. When I arrived they asked if I wanted an escort to my as my assigned spot was full so she just gave me a spot 2 slips down. Hooked up electric and had 114v and 120v for my 50 amp RV. Water pressure was 52 psi. Sewer was a little up hill but was able to work as it was still below my RV. The site was pretty level. Cell strength was good Sprint FMCA MiFi 86Mbps down / 54Mbps up, Verizon cellphone 49Mbps down and 10Mbps up. Had a wonderful stay. The pools, they had 2, were very nice - clean and warm. They have a large clubhouse with video games and another clubhouse at the second pool. there are a good amount of annual slip owners here and lots of golf cart use. They even have golf carts for rent. the roads are a mix of asphalt (near the front) and grave (the rest of the park). There are a few potholes but nothing crazy like I have seen in other parks. All the campers were friendly and respectful of others. The staff was very nice.

We intended to stay here for 2 different 14 day periods but had to leave early. We believe the massive cell tower right across the street was making us feel awful. We left the area several times and we all felt fine being away from it. Wish we could have stayed, we love the campground otherwise, but we will not return.

Free through Thousand Trails. Had to try out 2 different spots, we didn't like the first one they recommended due to a retaining wall and not much view. 2nd site, 28 had plenty of space. Nice park would stay again.l

Campground Notes: We were there over Halloween and they had a lot of nice events: scavenger hunt, crafts, and a trunk-or-treat. Site #: C16Site Rating (1-5): 2Site Notes: C16 is a long site but very uneven; our trailer tongue was almost on the ground to get level. Sewer connections are not threaded and our neighbor was not using a donut and their connection was only a few feet from our door and smelled frequently. It was nice to be up on a hill as we were hit by tropical storm Zeta and we were high and dry. The Yadkin River rose over 20 feet, flooding the primitive camping area and threatening the lowest spots on the E loop.Amenity Rating (1-5): 4Amenity Notes: The playground there is very nice. There is an indoor arcade and café that were open but we didn’t try them. There are two pools and hot tubs but were closed for the season when we were there. There is also a lake with a beach for swimming. Laundry was nice, cheap, but small – three washers but only 2 working dryers. Mini-golf was not in great shape as is typical with most Thousand Trails.Reason for camping here: Recommended by other campers and on our way down south for the winter.Miscellaneous Notes: Nearby activities we went to were Boone’s cave which was a nice, short hike, Tanglewood Park which was beautiful and had some fun mountain and paved bike trails, and the Dinosaur Playground in Washington Park which was a lot of fun for Zach and his friend we met at the campground, Izzy. Lots of grocery options in Mocksville or Lexington.Dates Stayed: 10/25/2020 - 11/8/2020Price Paid: $0, with Thousand Trails membershipWeather: Tropical storm Zeta hit us while were staying there but generally the weather was nice, in the low 70s during the day and the 40s at nightVerizon Cell Quality**: Very good Verizon; averaged 37.4 Mb/s down and 13.4 Mb/s up. Tried the campground Wi-Fi and only got .68 Mb/s down and 2.38 Mb/s up.Mail: Campground charges $5/package for mail so we used an Amazon locker in Mocksville, NC. Fellow campers also had success using General Delivery to the USPS in Mocksville. * For reference we are pulling a 33’ long Jayco travel trailer with a 2016 F350 Crew Cab Short Bed 4x4 which is 22’ with hitch giving us a total length of 55’. **For reference we have two Google Pixel 2 XL on Verizon ‘Play More” unlimited data plans. For data we have an Inseego 8800L on Verizon’s expired prepaid unlimited hotspot plan. In areas of low signal we use a Netgear 6000450 MIMO antenna. It was unlevel, cramped and lacked shade. Our second site was A33 and it was much better. Lots of shade, much more space and very level. Our neighbors were also quite friendly. The C loop bathroom was dirty, whereas the A loop bathroom was clean and well-maintained. This park has a large scenic lake and nice little beach area. The onsite restaurant was good and we particularly enjoyed the bacon cheeseburger. Sad to say that the kitchen staff was not wearing masks though. No wifi at the sites but my AT&T cell phone had 3 bars and the hotspot worked ok. The clubhouse had reduced hours due to Covid-19. Close to shopping and groceries in Lexington.

We only stayed a few days while passing through in February. We actually saw the only snow of our winter here. Not much--maybe an inch--but it certainly stopped up local traffic. Still, enjoyed our time here and would gladly return for longer in the future.

Full hookups (50amp, water, sewer). Water pressure was good at about 52psi.We lost power our last night at the campground around 11pm. We walked out with a flashlight and our neighbors were also outside so we assumed the campground lost power (it was a thunderstorm so it seemed possible). But we learned the following morning when we still didn't have power that it was just an isolated issue with a few camp sites. Our designated site ended up being a little too tricky to back into so we were allowed to park in another site typically reserved for long-term rentals. We've had our fair share of tricky sites being full-timers and over 100 campgrounds in the past year, but this was one of the toughest because of the sloped roads, hills, trees, tree stumps, and the large ditches on both sides of the road.We actually ended up leaving early on our last day because our phones woke us up with a flood alert. The campground is located on a river and the area was expecting the river to breach and possibly even close roads and nearby bridges. The campground itself would likely have been fine but we didn't want to be stuck with detours if roads around the area were closed.

We get great cell service on both AT&T and Verizon thanks to the cell tower just across the highway. One of the best adult lodges with seen in a Thousand Trails, two big pools, a lake, hiking and more. Closer to the front there might be a bit of road noise but very quiet at night. However, this park has about 75% of the sites taken by annual and seasonal residents. Almost are nice rigs with well kept sites but it doesn't leave much room for transient Thousand Trails members. The park is well maintained and very clean so the long term residents don't really detract from the experience, it's just there aren't a lot of spots left for the rest of us. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay. Note: This park is open all year but does have limited operations and amenities during the winter.

Suggest goin to the lodge near the laundry and taking a shower as it is being well cared for. Pools are closed until memorial day regardless of 85 degree temperature (insurance?). Bathrooms can be painted inside (rusty dividers).

The pool was clean but not open. That I didn’t understand. They had a nice clubhouse with pool table and spots to come in from the heat. The sites are ok. Gravel (but in need of a lot more) and each site does have water, power, and sewer. The last is my only real complaint. Wet and dirty to the point that we didn’t even connect the water. We didnt want our drinking water house out there. We just filled up the tank which worked just fine. I think when people check out the park should clean the site. There was toilet paper and a mess around the sewer. It was very quiet but loop A is kinda in a hole. There appeared to be better breezes in the other areas. Just a thought. It is very easy to access. Interstate and state highways. I would probably not stay again because there are so many other places available to try. I didn’t really like seeing trailers that are permanently parked there. Some are dirty from sitting unoccupied and others have full decks around them??? I don’t get that.

We had a FHU site with a nice view that was also pretty close to the amenities. There were multiple pools and hot tub (closed for season), mini golf that was actually in good condition as well a playground the kids really enjoyed.Getting there was nice, it was only a half hour back to Winston-Salem where we went for some meals and activities. Check-in was simple and there were a few spots to choose from so we picked one that had plenty of space next to it. Getting to the spot was up and down a few hills, but nothing too difficult. The park seemed clean and maintenance was around performing upkeep. Site quality was even pretty good. Mostly level and easy to get truck in and out.The closest major road was not too far away but we could hear traffic some. Not too loud, but it was there. You feel like you are in wilderness but get that little extra noise.I only gave this a 4 star because we could not participate in most of the activities since it was after season, but I assume it would be great when it is the right season. We would go again!
