This is the tale of two parks. The entrance area has small tight sites. All the roads are dusty and every vehicle kicks up a dust storm. Good luck eating outside. Good luck eating outside. The bathrooms were dirty with broken toilets. The laundry room had 2 of the 5 washing machines broken. Our site was missing a table. If you must stay here book in the newer Sunset Acres area. Traffic on Grand Prix road was awful its a thoroughfare. If you can stay somewhere else I would. I will say the employees and security guard were very nice.

Great stay, COVID made the place less desirable since a lot of the activities were closed but we had a great stay. You can hear the cars flying around Watkins Glen international which was really cool.
Great customer service on a crowded and mid-pandemic Memorial Day weekend

Although I found the cost to be high for a Water+Electric site, the staff here did a great job making us feel welcome. To make the holiday weekend extra special, they brought a bundle of firewood to each site every day. The trail that goes along the river in the woods is great for kids and pets that like to play in the water.
Not very nice for a "resort"

Unlevel gravel/mud sites don't equal resort to me. Lots of activities - indoor and outdoor pool, adventure park (additional fees), playground, etc. But park is rustic and not gorgeous, so the prices seem out of line. There is also zero cell service and no wifi.

A lovely KOA in the middle of farm country that’s a mile off US-20 (which saves you from the typical road noise) and close to Cooperstown, Glimmerglass, Herkimer, Little Falls, Cherry Valley and Sharon Springs. Lovely, relaxing, well-manicured lawns surround all the RV sites. The hosts are wonderful.

Will be back for the excellent amenities. The camp if you like waterfalls, hiking, wineries and museums.
They handled the influx well.

If you know the band you know the Phans can be a little hype sometimes, hence why we stay off site and not on the festival grounds. The band was forced to cancel due to the flooding and the fact that the water was contaminated. Horrible for the townspeople and for the 20000 or so people who had already pitched their campsites onntjr festival grounds. KOA was able to help a lot of these people who’s planes didn’t leave again for days. It appeared that they allowed a few more people on some of the sites than typically allowed and everyone behaved themselves rather well. It was just a really unexpected busy weekend for them snd I believe they handled it well. The sites here are pretty close together which seems to be typical of most KOAs. They have many different types of sites though which is nice. Some have really nice patio and fire pits w seats around. Others are just primitive but at least set back in the treees. They have a TON of stuff to do. Zip line, water slides, cafe, indoor and outside pools. Just a lot. The bathrooms are kept pretty clean and well stocked. Not immaculate but better then most. It’s our 2nd time staying for 5 days and I’d stay again if we ever go back. We prefer state parks and Watkins Glen has one of the most amazing state parks I’ve ever seen but has very few W/E sites. Nor are we set up for boondocking yet.
It’s a KOA... with some wooded spots.

Laundry Room.Hook ups work as expected. This is a great location for hiking the nearby Gorges and seeing the waterfalls!!! There is also a big speedway nearby - the sounds of tires sometimes can be heard in the campground. The real Gem is Corning Museum of Glass nearby... it is a world class museum about all aspects of glass. History, commercial, art, Watch live glassblowing... I could go on and on!!!! This was the perfect first spot for two people who had never set foot in an RV before. KOA entrance, KOA store, KOA hook ups... Believe it or not we actually had a nice spot against the woods with a stream... surrounded by trees... a little tight is an understatement... barely enough room for the trailer and a picnic table... the fire pit was practically in the street... and I had to park the truck by the bath house.... yet - we thought it was the best spot in the world. We were camping... fire pit roaring, stars shining, stream trickling our “Gap 1/2 Year” has begun.
