We camped with friends and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The owners were so welcoming and accommodating that from our first impression at check in, we were certain that we would return! The beach and water access are a definite draw to this place- you can walk out a nice long way in shallow water, making it ideal for families with small children. We have dogs who also enjoyed the lake and could splash for hours without worry about exhaustion as they could always touch bottom while only being submerged up to their mid shoulder. There were some very creative set ups in the water for a days worth of fun in the sun- one group had set up chairs and side tables along with a kiddie pool floating on the waves keeping their drinks and snacks dry and afloat- we took some notes for our return ;)Our site was spacious, grass covered with post style fencing, a lovely shade tree toward the front and a wooden deck platform. The only disadvantage was the morning sun- shade was almost non existent as we cooked and ate breakfast on one of the hottest weekends of the summer. The awnings did not provide any relief due to the angle of which the sun rose and the positioning of our site. We will be better prepared for this on future visits by bringing a pop up share tent that can be moved as required. The seasonal campers were very friendly and seemed to really enjoy themselves. Most seasonal sites reflected pride of ownership- a few, however, were in need of some tlc.We took advantage of the on site restaurant and enjoyed some delicious wings and pizza on our second night. All in all a great weekend getaway!
