Interlake campground is close to Rhinebeck and the Red Hook areas, which was great! The campground has a nice mixture of shade trees and openness to it. We liked the fact that the campground was gated (had to have a key card to come into the campground), but we did not like the fact that our guests were charged $8 per person per day. We did receive a 10% military discount. We used the bathhouse, and the facilities were very clean, although a bit dated. We did not pay for the upgraded, faster Wifi – we just used the CG’s “basic” Wifi and we had 2-3 bars of Verizon coverage throughout our stay. About half the CG seems to be seasonal campers, so there wasn’t much activity in that section. The section we stayed in (for short-term campers or overnighters), the CG was busier. We used the laundry facilities and the big commercial machines worked great. Guests staying in this CG were polite and it was very quiet at night. The sites were close together. The CG is now owned by a management company and you can see that they are slowly making good improvements (adding more sites, refreshing the bathhouse, etc.). The staff we interacted with was very friendly and efficient. The camp store was well stocked with all sorts of very helpful goodies. We would stay at this campground again.
Nice park, maybe tight and crowded when full though

There’s lots of trees and the park has a good natural feel while. There are plenty of amenities and it appears lots of activities in non closing/covid times including a rec hall and snack bar.The park is convenient to points throughout the Catskills and Hudson valley and is only 2 hours from New York City which allowed us to do a day trip to see family without having to navigate our rig through the city.We had a completely contactless check in and check out- not sure if this was their normal covid procedure or the were half closed down procedure.Bathrooms and showers were clean although the hot water was limited and never seemed to get as hot as I would like.AT&T worked fine (I’m not sure if we had our booster on or not) and the campground WiFi was useable as well (keep in mind that’s with a mostly empty park). We didn’t test our Verizon.
Big, friendly, beautiful campground!

Full range of sites, looks like many are leveled " by instruments " on a finer grade of gravel. Almost all interior roads paved, asphalt company was here this morning filling in and minor widening. Rec room neat and clean.Movie on Friday night, bingo on Saturday. Pool is a nice size, centrally located, natural stone just outside of pool area gives a secluded feeling. Unlike many parks w pool at entrance. Speaking of entrance, approach Lake rd w caution, doable but tight right onto narrow road. Interlake is a few miles from thruway on decent country roads. Sites are laid out to the flow of the land, I felt we had a fair amount of privacy. Owners and hosts very pleasant and helpful. There is a supermarket about 15 minutes away.
Very friendly staff

Our site was level with a gravel base and full hook ups. While I would have preferred a more wooded site. there was adequate space. We ventured into Rhinebeck, NY which was only minutes away. Due to the recent storms, the wifi was hit or miss which was ok since I wanted to unplug for a couple of days. I was in the process of being repaired. The signal near the office was very strong.

The campground itself is fairly large, with a myriad of sites; primitive, tent, on a hill, full shade, full sun, remote to down right neighborly (i.e. close). They range in size too from tent to extra-large to accommodate big rigs. I'd definitely suggest calling first and working out site specifics before booking. I noticed that some sites seem to be precariously situated up a slope or without maneuverability room and I'm assuming they are for 'seasonals' as I can't imagine a rig getting in out of of them on a regular basis. I believe all sites are back-in, and, at the time of my visit, recently leveled with small size paving gravel. There are several loops throughout the campground and it's helpful that they have someone direct you to your site on arrival. My site was at the end of a row, and backed to a fence, with two shade trees and some wonderful smelling jasmine that would waft in my open windows, full-hook up and 21 cable stations available, a fire-ring and picnic table, though the other side was fairly close to my neighbor without much privacy. I was thrown by the RV sales in the name, I only saw one small trailer for sale and it looked to be someones used towable. It's not an RV lot as I was picturing before arrival. This is the type of place where the same campers come year after year and absolutely love it. It has a very family feel. The owners are extremely nice and accommodating, as was everyone in the front office. They've a large rec hall that holds a laundry room and full service snack bar, along with a pool table, board games, small lending library, and even a small stage for entertainment. I saw that an Elvis impersonator and a ventriloquist were on the docket for this Summer. Outside of the rec hall, are tables, a playground and a large pool area. There's even a catch-release pond. They have wifi with pretty good access, though the park was not crowded during my stay. However, there isn't much in the way of cellphone reception. If you don't have a rig and need a place to stay they've got you covered there as well. Everything was clean and well kept (bathrooms, showers, laundry, pool, and their private rentals from what I saw)While there isn't a nearby Whole Foods or Trader Joe's, if your looking for quality, go directly to the source. A lot of the farms sell directly and there's also a wonderful Farmer's market.
