All staff that we encountered were engaging, pleasant, and helpful - we appreciated the night security team even coming with us to our site to help shine a light and help us get hooked-up. Campsite was level, very clean, and well taken care of - which was great to see for a campground of this size (~1300 sites). We enjoyed running around the park, walks on the beach of Lake Ontario, and a quick trip down the road to see the Salmon River during salmon season. There also seems to be a lot of social activities available (pool, basketball & tennis courts, etc) - but we didn't experience them due to COIVD.

Area W is closer to the lake than many sites with a 5 minute walk to the beach. The campground is very large with 1300+ sites, many of which are seasonal. It seems well run, and has quite a few amenities. Cell service is spotty and slow on all carriers. It’s close to Pukaski for basics, and 35 minutes to Watertown and Syracuse for anything else. There are MANY state parks in the area snd the Thousand Islands is less than an hour away.

During our 10 day visit in July, the campground was bustling on the weekends with ample vacant sites midweek. A central courtyard area serves as a hub for a well stocked camp store, a restaurant, three pools, recreation hall, game room, and laundry. Most importantly, the courtyard area includes free courtesy WiFi. WiFi speed was always sufficient to download videos from Netflix, upload photos and videos, and to perform all other data heavy tasks. Cellular service for both Verizon and AT&T were spotty and minimal with a booster and mostly unusable without. The free Saturday night bands at the courtyard were excellent, playing from 8PM to 10PM. Fort Ontario State Historic Site, Robert Whele State Park, and Wellesley Island State Park were all short but memorable day trips from Brennan Beach to compliment our visit.

  • Great amenities, lots of people, sites a bit close together, fun for kids

This campground is pretty large, boasting 1300+ campsites. Upon checking in that made more sense because only 100-200 or so seem to be up for use at any time, the rest are fulltime people who live there in stationary RVs / trailers.Because of the size, there are a lot of amenities like a huge pool (unfortunately closed while we were there) large playgrounds, beach area on the lake, courtyard for activities, multiple cafes, and a good sized store.Getting to the park was pretty easy and since it was big salmon fishing season, we drove past a few places in the town with people everywhere fishing. Pretty fun to see.Park was easy to get into but getting down our row we could see things were a bit tight. The spots have good full hookups and 50amp power but on the right side of the rig there is a fixed firepit and picnic table. This made the sites tight to get into and we ended up in one with a tree on the left side too. We were able to get in fine, but for the really large rigs like we have, it was a bit of a sweat getting it all hooked up.We came in during the week and after labor day so some activities were closed but also park was not too busy. When Friday came, it got pretty busy and on the weekends there were a ton of people. We met some other families and our kids had an amazing time! Thanks to Thousand Trails - The Trails Collection - we stayed here free :)
