This is a nice park which unfortunately straddles a treacherous road for RVs ( 9 miles on Co. Rd. 31 between the campground and Cooperstown.) The 2 lane road from Cooperstown was extremely narrow, very winding, with many shoulder edge drop-offs and low hanging branches. Adding heavy rains and fog to the mix on the day we visited -- led us to cancel an additional non-refundable fully paid reservation for the following week. Under ideal weather conditions approaching the campground from the other direction on Route 31 would have improved road safety, but we decided it was not for us. Otherwise, during our one night stay the staff was friendly, the site was level and private, although a bit muddy from the rains. Several of the sites were clearly occupied by longer term visitors.
