It's beautiful and quiet with decent sized lots. In the country yet close enough to stores, Pistachioland, White Sands NP, Space Museum. We loved this place. The GPS directions all say to go down Rattlesnake rd but DONT. There is a massive, deep ditch that you will have to go thru if you go rattlesnake rd. Just go straight to Mountain Meadows Rd!

I took a lovely walk around the property behind the park and there is a small, interesting canyon. We visited White Sands National Park (30 min away) and were able to borrow sleds and wax from the RV park (free) for the day which was really nice! Also 30 min away in the other direction was the Three Rivers Petroglyph Site. It is very quiet and peaceful out here, yet close enough to the town to be convient to stores.

We stayed here one night and found their laundry and bathrooms to be clean and nice. There are a few trees in the park and grass in the center area but otherwise is gravel. The people working here were nice as well. We would come back when in the area.

You have a beautiful view of the Sacramento Mountains right out your camper window at this park. Full hookups, and a nice shower/bathroom, as well as a nice laundry room with 3 washers and 3 dryers. It’s super hot out here in the desert in June, but they have a cute shaded area in the middle of the park. Both Verizon and AT&T worked great! Would highly recommend this park if you’re in the area.

The regular price is $35. It sits about 2 miles off the main road so it is nice and quiet. The views of the Sacramento Mountains are fabulous. Place is very clean and has laundry facility ($2 for washers and dryers) and a DVD/Book library available for use. Bathrooms/showers are a single use room (one for ladies and one for gents). They even have sleds for campers to borrow if visiting the White Sands National Park. The campground hosts (Jack & Joann Stack) were awesome and called us on our way to the campground to warn us not to follow the GPS because there is a large dip on that route (we would have bottomed out our tow hitch). You want to come in using Mountain Meadows Road. Good cell phone service for Verizon. Campground internet was spotty but we were able to pickup local TV channels using our antennae. Not much space between RVs but nice quiet park and there is a common sitting/BBQ area that can be used.

The quiet, and view of mountains is wonderful. Signs/directions couldbe bigger or newer--and that's my only complaint. 4 nice, big washing machines (+ dryers) are available. Restrooms/showers are old, but always CLEAN with plenty of room to move around. 1 each, mens-womens. Oh, and they've got a large, stainless steel washtub next to washers with great H2O pressure.Sites are quite level. Easy drive through with our TT. Off-season at end of April but looks to have a nice, big BBQ-type area in the middle for get togethers. Maybe 5-6 full time campers. By all means, give it a try. It's clean, friendly, and generally quiet.

Super quiet, ultra clean, gorgeous Mountain View’s. Fresh absorbant towels in restrooms for guests to use. Loved all the Christmas decorations and abundance of live quails running around. And they gave us a card for a free 4 oz bag of pistachios at the McGinn’s Pistachio Farm 2 miles away. Off beaten path. Loved it.

The managers Jack & JoAnn led us to our site. Very friendly people. They have hot showers and even provide a towel. The guy in site 16 feeds the quail every morning and they come up to feed. Quite fun to watch. Sites are big and it is very quiet. Best campground that we have stayed at in New Mexico.

Ok I thought we all agreed to keep this place secretly to ourselves. But since the word is out, it's a great place. Jack and Joann are great managers, it's a small friendly place with clean showers, hiking trails and away from traffic noise.

As another reviewer said, if your GPS tells you to take Rattlesnake Rd. you should skip it and instead take Mountain Meadows road. This served as a perfect base camp for me to check out White Sands, Cloudcroft, and Ruidoso. Check-in was very smooth. The owners drove me out to my campsite, and then seeing that I was alone, helped spot for me while I was backing into my site. My site was level and had a beautiful view of the mountains behind it, as well as a nice picnic table. There was plenty of space between all of the sites. There is also a lot of open desert area around the park that was perfect for taking my dog on walks and playing frisbee. The owners were some of the nicest I've met. On Cinco de Mayo they had a cookout for the whole park, and then again on the day I left they grilled hamburgers and hot dogs for everyone. Everyone at the park was incredibly nice and getting to know them was a great experience. The laundry facilities, restrooms, and showers are all very nice. They even provide towels! I especially appreciated the location of this park because it was away from the highway. Most of the other parks in Alamogordo and the surrounding area looked to be very crowded and right on the highway. Overall I had a great experience here and would highly recommend it.

Seems like all the other parks are right on the main road, this one is tucked back a bit and is a nice little site. All but one site is back in, although the sign says pull throughs. If you put the address in google or Apple maps it will want to take you further down the road. Keep an eye on the right side of the road for a white sign.

One note - coming from the north most GPS units will want you to take Rattelsnake Road - don’t do it! Take Mountain Meadows Road a couple of miles south. The sites are in a circle, so there’s lots of visual space. There’s a large grassy area with a pavilion and horseshoe pit. The laundry and bathrooms are in one building, with books, games, and DVDs to borrow. The showers are in the toilet areas, and while there are only two, they are huge!
