The sites were not right on top of each other, but definitely an RV park, not a state park. Our site was Wildflower 1 pull thru, and it was very very long. We had a patio with table and chairs but didn't use it. As others have mentioned, it is VERY WINDY here. Did use the clean dog park lined with wood chips daily and enjoyed the sculptures throughout the park. The campground seems to be a labor of love for the family that owns and operates it. There are wildflowers and annuals planted all around the park. Access to the campground is easy and the ride into Santa Fe was simple. In summary, a great campground to allow easy access to Santa Fe and the surrounding area, without being in a city setting.Notes: Parking a dually when visiting a city can be daunting. We found the area around the cathedral is where you want to get out and walk, but the municipal parking lot was a nightmare! It has a very narrow entrance with a sharp turn - so avoid it if you also have dually. The second day we discovered a free parking area at the State Capital visitor center - we saw a large state bus parked in there and drove up behind it. Didn't get a ticket and parked there for over an hour. Other cars were parked in the lot where the signs have been removed from the metal stakes and left there all day without ticketing.Santa Fe is awash in beautiful artwork - and we found the state capital building is brimming with art. Free entrance and you can wander through multiple floors and hallways viewing the curated art.For the chocolate lover - there is the Kakawa Chocolate House (with a small parking lot behind it-enter along the side). They have chocolate elixer drinks in multiple flavors - try a flight of four for $13. Homemade chocolate ice cream and truffles here as well.

This park is our new favorite in the area.

The level, back in, gravel site was big enough for our rv and vehicle and extremely private. The downside is that is can be very windy..careful use of awnings. For a large park it is really, really quiet..no generators or music.Spacious, clean and fully fenced dog park but there is a walking path with awesome views and lots of meadows also. Each site has a huge poured concrete ‘patio” with a metal table and chairs..a really nice touch.Definitely a well run and organized place.** being in the outer edges the wifi was marginal.

Good cell service (att). Good wifi. Sites are pull-through. Clean restrooms. Nice walking path that circles the park (saw a roadrunner). On the edge of town, but Santa Fe is small, so it's only 10-15 minutes from downtown. Close to Santa Fe Brewing Company.

The sites at the end of each row have a great view, (others not so much) and Iris 6 was one of them. We had to put our RV in backwards though and run the hoses under the RV to have our windows look out over the city rather than looking at a bush and our neighbor. The view was excellent in all three directions, including lovely sunsets. The site was flat and easy to get into . The park has a nice reception area with lots of fliers of things to do in the area. There is also cool art around the premises which fit in well with Santa Fe. It was quite windy all the time we were there in early Feb. The drive down to the city is about 15 minutes and it was less windy there. I discovered that they had recycling in their game room on the last day. When I made the suggestion that they put a note on the outdoor dumpster or in the flier they gave us the first day that recycling was available- the receptionist became very cold to me. I guess she doesn't like feedback. Otherwise, the staff was very nice and helpful. They have a locked gate at night with a code for security, which was nice, but it didn’t feel necessary.

Our site was a back in that was very difficult to get into, but very level once I finally did. After a long, windy day of driving, I didn’t need that! The dump site was considerably elevated. A very nice metal table & 4 chairs were provided in lieu of a picnic table. Internet inadequate for streaming on Sunday, great Monday, not Tuesday. On site purchase of propane from great guy. Most sites are pretty good, there are a few that are not worthy of a park of this caliber. Most of the back-ins have a better ambience, but most pull thru’s are easier to get into. Were I to return our medium size fifth wheel would have to be in a pull thru. Most of the back-ins are better suited for small to medium size motorhomes.

My review is based solely on my experience attempting to make a reservation and, not having received confirmation of any reservation, making other arrangements. I wouldn't have thought anything of it except tonight, as I was eating dinner, I received a call from Santa Fe Skies proclaiming that I have a reservation for 2 nights starting tonight. I tried to explain that I never received confirmation and made other arrangements, but the lady who called me continued to insist with me quite rudely that she wasn't going to argue with me and I had a reservation. Having owned a business myself for 16 years I know well that there is a right and wrong way to deal with issues. An appropriate response would have been to recognize that there had been a misunderstanding, offer to cancel the reservation, and express hope that I would pay Santa Fe Skies a future visit. Instead, with the rude response I received tonight, I am quite sure I will never pay Santa Fe Skies a visit.

Super sunsets, views, and dark skies for star gazing. Super long and wide sites with concrete patios. Quirky art work, south western motif, cleanest dog park I've ever seen. Great displays of old farm and road equipment. Probably one of the nicest sites we've stayed in in two years of full time RVing. The staff A++++Negatives - Morning noise right off the main resort road. No pool or playground for the littles. No recycle bin at the dumpster station. All sites, as far as we could tell had gravel drives with concrete patios, most with table and chairs. Many had some shade. Those on the north and east side of the park had view of the distant mountains and meadows. Those on the west side had the sunset views over Santa Fe. The park is full of ancient machinery and antique cars as well as metal sculptures by the owner, John Brown. We met Mr. Brown, riding a trials bike with his granddaughter on board. John is a delightful man, who late in life still rides trials motorbike competitions. Surrounding the park is a nice walking trail, best enjoyed early morning or late afternoon to enjoy the day's beginning sunrise and ending sunset. Santa Fe is but a short ride into town and it is my understanding that there is a shuttle bus that departs from near the entrance. It was not running due to COVID restrictions when we were there.Santa Fe Skies, at least when we were there, did not accept specific site reservations. If you have a site or two in mind, best give them your choices and arrive early to have a better chance at a site you prefer. This was one of our negatives, but they gave us a great site under the shade of a tree with a view east to the meadows. There are many restaurants in Santa Fe. One of our favorite restaurants we tried was Vinaigrette. This unassuming, quaint and somewhat intimate venue was recommended to us by several encounters. We made a reservation for the patio. It was not regretted. We had lunch one day at Anasazi Restaurant. The food was fresh and the service great, but overall we felt overpriced for small dishes and nothing of exceptional note. Was nice to sit outside, though, in the old town. For Mexican/Southwestern, Tomasita's is highly recommended. Food and service were first class and the salsas some of the better I have experienced. This is not TEX_MEX, but rather authentic Mexican and Southwestern fare. And, of course, if you like beer, a visit to the Santa Fe Brewery is recommended. Try their 7K IPA if you like India Pale Ales.

On one night it sounded like groups of people just being loud, like a party or something. I didn't investigate, but it died down at the designated quiet time. The next night it sounded like someone was shooting off fireworks which concerned me. That did go on a little past the designated quiet time. I was surprised that was able to go on. I didn't report it. But I'd think if they had staff on site they would have noticed. It was pretty loud. Hopefully on my next stay it will be more peaceful like my stay here last year.

Even though we came during COVID-19 the showers were open and they had devised a nice system with laminated signs to show if a shower was used or clean. I felt very safe showering (of the first time in a month not in the RV) Great pressure and spacious stalls. There was a lady cleaning non-stop...very comforting. The laundry room was also super clean, however, expensive, you had to insert your credit card and it did not show how much it was, later on, when I checked my cc statement I realized I was charged 5.50 per load ( and I did 7) just for the washer, the dryer was another $3...Yikes...Anyway, back to the review, they had spaced out the occupancy which was another nice touch and I really enjoyed walking around and checking out the art. There also was a great little dog park where we could throw ball and the dog could go off leash. Although it was 'just ' an RV park, we enjoyed it very much.

We really appreciated the dog park so we could let our dogs off leash to do their business and run off some of their energy after a long drive. The trail that runs the park perimeter was also a nice bonus. They also offer on-site propane filling which was super convenient. We would stay here again for sure.

The price is a bit high, but we've stayed at more expensive places that weren't as nice. Our site was little odd in that it was a double-length pull through, so another rig eventually pulled in right behind us, their front just a few feet from the rear of our motorhome. The two sites appear to also share a patio. The rest of the sites were typical pull-throughs or back-ins. There's a nice walking trail around the outside of the RV park, and we also walked our dog through some nearby neighborhood streets. It's a bit of a drive to get into Santa Fe, but not too bad. AT&T data did not work, but we were able to make calls. Verizon data worked, but was a bit slow... our booster helped. We'd stay here again.

In the end, we thought it was a bit overpriced for what it was.The location here was ok. It's basically located on the outskirts of the city. It took us about 20 to 30 minutes to get downtown - depending on exactly where we were going and time of day. It wasn't bad, but Trailer Ranch RV park (which we visited because friends of ours were staying there) is much closer in. Otherwise, the location is good. It's located right off Interstate 25 and within easy reach of any necessary conveniences. We asked for and received a site in the older section which offers sites that are a bit less "parking lot like" than the newer section. Our site was a back-in that was located right near the walking trail that surrounds the campground. We had decent site separation from our neighbors on both sides and we enjoyed the large grassy area behind our site. If privacy is a concern, I would definitely suggest seeking a site in the older section. The newer section is much more standard commercial parking. The site spacing isn't terrible, but it's not great either.Overall, this place was fine. If it was closer in or cheaper, we would stay again, but as it is, we'd probably stay at Trailer Ranch instead.

Pricey for what you get. Looked like no one cared about all the weeds in the back of the park. Not really a fan of having to use a credit card for laundry. Gentleman at check in was not very friendly but the gal when checking out was great. Park is in a nice location.

Each site had a concrete pad and wrought iron furniture. They are nicely spaced and several were well landscaped. The park is easy to find and has easy access/egress. There was a nice club house and outdoor seating area, making this a great park for groups and rallies. The dog park is large and well groomed and this is one of the few parks that allows more than two dogs per unity. Like so much of Santa Fe, this park is loaded with interesting sculptures and there's a great collection of old machines, cars and heavy equipment. My complaint, however, was the price. Considering there is no pool/hot tub or exercise room, and no real 'activities' per se, I felt the rate was a bit steep. Things to see/do: Meow Wolf! You must see it to believe it.Santa Fe historic area....it will take you three days to see everything.Turquoise Trail...drive south, on 14, to the town of Madrid.Tent Rocks National Monument is only about 30 minutes away...coolest rock structures you've never heard about.

Our site more than fit us, which is always nice.It is one of the nicest commercial campgrounds that we have found near a larger/tourist city. A unique combination of pretty views, sculptures, a site that fit us, and it was quiet … a mix that we have not found otherwise. The only negative is site spacing in general (side to side) is not spacious, but not bad –in our particular site, it was fine. Also, the people who work here are very nice and customer service focused (when making reservations, checking in, etc.)—which further adds to the appeal! We will return.

Art installations are located throughout the grounds, a first for me and a very nice touch. The clubhouse and shared facilities are very, very nice and the people are very friendly and caring. No cable TV, a surprise at this price. Got one night free for a long stay and Good Sam and still seem to be at a higher nightly fare than others.Of hopefully short-term significance is that they are having a problem with bicycle thefts at night. The people next to us had a bike cut out of the chains they had responsibly applied, and there is a sign warning of the problem in the clubhouse, so apparently these thieves are emboldened enough to treat this place like a supermarket and shop here irregularly. In light thereof I would not camp here if I had bicycles until management told me the problem had been solved. My wife feels she can't walk around safely at night. Hence the four stars.

We were a little disappointed that our site didn’t have a patio like most of the others but since we were only there one night and it was pretty windy it wasn’t a huge loss. There’s a walking trail along the whole park that offers views of the mountains in the distance. The dog park is large but mostly dirt so my dog came out as a large dust ball- I’ve come to terms with the fact we will never have a clean dog while traveling. The WiFi was super fast and we had no problems connecting at our site. AT&T has great service and between those two we never needed to turn on our Verizon hotspot. The showers were clean and the water was hot although they do have multiple signs posted about trying to conserve water in the dry climate. There were ample washers and dryers that were credit card operated. The staff was super helpful and friendly and had lots of suggestions for things to do in the area. Even with this being a large park with a lot of guests I felt they valued everyone there.

The main advantage is the park is close to Santa Fe. There is also the Rail Runner train station nearby. It is an inexpensive and convenient method of transportation to downtown. The entrance leading into the park is concrete but the interior roads are gravel and dust – you will get dirty! Many fellow rv’ers drove too fast kicking up even more dust. Other than at check-in, we never saw any staff members. Out site was gravel, narrow and unlevel. The laundry facilities are very expensive so save that task for another park. There is little to no landscaping except for a few trees and some modern art. Use of a weed eater would make a definite improvement! For the most part, other than the odd siren or two, it was pretty quiet at night. Directv satellite is good. Verizon 4g 4 bars but not reliable. Don’t rely on the WII FI – it’s passable when you can get on, which isn’t often, and even then it will kick you off after a bit. We were warned by fellow rv’er that bikes have been stolen so we tucked ours in the back of our toad. One curiosity – when we checked in of course they asked if we had pets which we don’t. Yet they put us in a site right across from the dog park. There were plenty of other empty sites so it makes no sense.

Our dog loved the off leash park and the 3/4 miles walking trail outside the park. The park is full of large sculptural art and I was impressed with the solar installation that provided the park with 55% of its electricity. There is so much to see and do in the area that our two week stay flew by. Bandelier National Monumnet, Kasha Katwe, Los Alamos, Taos, Madrid just to name a few. If you are a hiker, the options are limitless all around the Santa Fe area. The weather was all over the place and the spring wind was fierce on several days but the sun was out almost everyday as were we! But for staying near a city we wanted to explore, this wasn't too bad. The park is very well maintained and has some really cute metal art installations scattered about. Most sites are easy to navigate pull-thrus - large enough for even the biggest rigs out there. Some of the sites are wider than others, and I'm really not quite sure on their pricing between regular sites and 'patio' sites. We enjoyed the walking trail that goes around the park, the views, and utilized the laundry facilities. They have a sizable solar install onsite too. Friendly staff, and they happily accept mail & shipments for you. I'd probably actually give this place 3.5 stars overall, but I'll round up in this case. It is however a pretty pricey option in our opinion, and pretty far from the main areas of Sante Fe that you probably want to explore making it not as ideal of a location as we would have liked. And their WiFi was down the entire time we were there.

No problems with water, electric, or sewer (although they didn't have the screw in connection so you had to put a heavy object on top to keep a better seal.) While it was pretty pricey (what isn't in Santa Fe) it was quiet, super dog friendly (they have an enclosed dog park, a .75 mile walking path around the park, and numerous dog bag/deposit stations,) had artwork throughout the park, and while sites are gravel almost all sites have large concrete patios. Also like that it was easy access to town, interstate etc. Especially like that they put in a ton of solar to power the park. The staff is very friendly. Amenities:Laundry - The laundry room was clean, but a bit pricey as well. $2.00 for a wash load (top-loaders that were decently deep but not huge) and $2.00/hr dryer load or $1.50 for 45 mins. Information - Had lots and lots of hand-outs and info if you want it. Propane - They sell propane but only certain people can dispense it and when we tried to fill up the guy wasn't working yet (on a Sat was told hours are 10-7 for selling propane) and they won't fill if raining/lightning. Not sure of hours for other days.Tips:If you are looking for a bigger site, some of their back-ins are quite large and a few offer more privacy. Not sure if those are for monthly or longer stays though. For those working: Verizon signal was strong and had good 4G speed.
