Excellent 5G.I spoke with the manager Virginia, and she said the new owners discounted the RV park rates because of all the construction on the motel. They are performing a multi year major renovation on the motel and grounds, in preparation for the 50th anniversary next year. The motel and the pool was closed during our stay. The RV park is newly remodeled, with 33 extra wide all pressed gravel pull-thru spaces. There are little curbed islands between all the sites with grass and the full hook ups, some have trees, and all have picnic tables. Our giant Class A hooked up tot he 50Amp service, and I could not believe there was no additional charges for electricity. The park is quite, and about half the spots are long term residents, due to the very low cost of living for couples on pensions or disability. No load music on weekends, with scheduled Las Cruces Police Department drive throughs. The new owners have planted more trees, added new lighting and security cameras to the RV park, which is completely surrounded by fencing and walls. Right off the I-10 interstate, yet most traffic and noise is on other side near the truck stops. I-10 is flat here, so no Jake-Braking trucks to deal with. The railroad tracks in Las Cruces are about 5 miles away, and down wind, so you seldomly here any trains. The location is perfect. You are no more than 10 minutes away from anything in town. Walmart is the next exit east from the RV Park. This park is 420 Friendly!!!!!! As long as you smoke in your RV, you are legal now since 4/2022 in New Mexico. Occasionally you will smell it it in the air, but most of the responsible people partaking, were respectful of others. The closest dispensary is less than 2 miles away.I will winter here every year now, due to the central US location.

Las Cruses has the mildest winters, and we still got to see it snow a few times. Perfect combination of not too cold, and a white Christmas. This RV Park is the perfect winter destination for full time RV couples. Close to town and tourist attractions.I flipped out when they told me total move in and first months rent was only $500.00!!! That includes free electricity (No other park in New Mexico does that!), free wifi, free water, free sewage, free trash. We saved so much money compared to last winter, so we decided to stay for another month, and save more money. The RV Park is brand new, and the owners are currently remodeling the motel. This place is a jewel in the rough right now, but will very soon be a very nice place, and a great value.

So the owners told me they are discounting the newly remodeled RV park rates, until the grand re-opening next year celebrating the motels 50th anniversary. The Rv park is great! All the sites are pull through, and extra wide for big Rvs. Some sites have trees, all sites have 50Amp full hook ups. The entire Rv park is crush gravel that is packed, making for nice smooth level sites, once you get past the speed bumps! Slow down over those.Mix of both old and newly planed trees surround the park. all the traffic is on other side of exit 139, and the 2 truck stops are convenient for diesel top offs and propane fills.Pit stop cafe is right next door to check in, and not bad for the price. Lots of history here, coming in from the desert, we saw a sign that said Bob Lilly's Coachlight Inn, and it looked 50 years old. The big sign can be seen for miles, and very easy exit of I-10.

Tranny temp on my Allision reached 250, so I costed off I-10 at exit 139. Thank God truck stops and even an International Truck Service center! International was backlogged 4 weeks!!!!!! They suggested I drive over to the Coachlight Inn Motel & RV across the freeway, and camp out there until they could get the transmission serviced/repaired.My Wife and I met the manager Virginia and even the owner when we pulled in. We told them our horror story, and they welcomed us with an insanely low monthly RV Site Rate Rental of Only $500.00 per month, NO DEPOSIT! That was the total move in... period. My Wife and I have been full time RVing for almost 3 years now and have never heard of such a thing! Completely free electricity in the middle of a desert!?! Let me tell you, it is for real. Free Wi-Fi, water, sewer, trash, everything you need to live for 1 complete month!!! We stayed 1 month and was amazed on how mild the climate was. The park is not noisy, considering just how close to the interstate it is. All the noise is on other side of I-10. Driving in and around town is a breeze at this central location. Ended up staying 2 months after our transmission was fixed, we liked this park that much.Great way to save money if you are on a fixed income. When we needed help, this place was here for us!

The motel where you check in looks like it belongs in a third-world country, but the office staff is friendly. You enter the RV park through the motel courtyard--just follow the signs. The park itself is a bit tired-looking with a number of run-down rigs...BUT there is a row of huge pull-through sites--long enough that even the largest rigs can stay hitched up--conveniently located right up front for easy access by short-term visitors. The pea gravel on the sites was neatly raked, and the area was clean. Power and water were reliable. Sewer hookup is up on a curbed "island", so you'll need a sewer hose support so waste doesn't have to flow uphill. What surprised me the most was how relatively quiet the park was considering its proximity to I-10; the motel and other surrounding buildings help to suppress what would otherwise be constant traffic noise. This is obviously not a destination park, but for an easy in-and-out overnight stop at a reasonable rate (assuming you have Passport America), it was just fine.

It's basically an uneven gravel lot. Shade trees were planted in the spring of 2021, they were about 2 feet tall in April. This park is right next to I-10, but I didn't notice because the employees/people who live in the RV park and motel generated much more noise. Honking horns, car alarms, shouting, arguing, raucous laughter, music, you name it. The couple who manage the RV park did not seem pleasant. I heard them kick someone out in the middle of the night, and another guest was asked to leave (loudly) the next day. I never saw one employee or member of the owner's large extended family wear a mask at any time during my state, despite a state mask mandate. I did not feel safe here, there was a very negative atmosphere, and the "new" manager was nowhere to be found.

Just outside Las Cruces with easy on/off I-10. Rv park is nice; clean, level, gravel and the cell/wifi is fine. The motel has some great retro architecture, a plus for me, but from the outside it looks like the ongoing refurb/remodel work still has some way to go. Price reflects the PA rate.

Our priorities are: level site, full hookups, room to push out slides & awnings, enough cell signal to execute a work day, and (if we’re super fancy) good dining/grocery within walking distance. Coachlight Inn Motel & RV Park checked all those boxes. She ain’t pretty by any stretch of the imagination, but you can see evidence of a past life. Word from the locals states that the motel had its hey-day, and then descended into a haven for a less than desirable, long-term resident clientele. Recent ownership change has spearheaded an effort to repair and renovate the motel, and permanently clear out the surly former regulars. Upon arrival, the gal working in the office seemed new, and it took a bit of time to get our reservation sorted, but we didn’t mind. She was friendly and accommodating. She had trouble with the credit card machine, so we ended paying our bill in cash, which again, was fine with us. The rate was $22.50/night with our Passport America membership. We needed to stay over two Saturdays for gigs, and found the RV Park quiet, convenient, and no fuss. We had a level, gravel pull-through site - #10 at the end of a row. Roadrunners zipped back and forth across the lot every morning. We had our row to ourselves most days. NOTE: During our time here, laundry room and showers we not available due to the renovation. The location is convenient to the freeway and you can reach anywhere in Las Cruces with a short drive. It was a delightfully uneventful stay. One of the pleasant surprises of our visit was The Pit Stop Cafe next door to the motel. Identical in architectural style, but a completely separate entity from the motel, it offers delicious, affordable homemade diner-style breakfast and lunch. We ate there several times not only for the food, but also for the perfect wait staff Kim and Kayley. For us, this was a fine value for the rate. We would stay here again.
