Our site was a nice, staggered, perfectly level pea gravel site. We enjoyed the gift store. This isn’t a destination park, but it was great for what we used it for.

It's a fairly large sardine can with about 120 slots, all looked to be level and may have been paved at some point. Men's bathroom seemed fairly clean but my wife thought the women's bathroom was quite dirty. Don't count on any internet service; we were able to connect but were constantly getting warnings that we weren't connected to the internet. I tried to run a speed test twice but both failed due to connection problems. Noise sources include planes, trains and automobiles. The place is sandwiched between I-40/a main train line/Rt 66 and the end of an airport runway; good thing there seemed to be little air traffic. All in all I would recommend finding something else.

Upon arrival we immediately noticed a strong smell of urine and feces. My guess is that the next door neighbors were allowing their large dogs to do their business there instead of walking them to the dog park. It was disappointing that the campground didn't inspect the site first. I called the office and they immediately let us move to site #43. This was actually a free upgrade as it included 50 amp. Thanks team for the great service! Our gravel site was level and comfortable. Sites are very close together so you will definitely get to know your neighbors. Didn't try the onsite bathrooms and showers. Loud trains run periodically but we've experienced worse in other campgrounds. The Gallup municipal airport is about 2 miles away. A fair number of loud low-flying aircraft buzzed overhead during our 1 week stay. Gallup has an excellent visitor center. Employees are incredibly friendly and helpful. The cultural center located next door is also highly recommended. Excellent exhibits on the Navajo code talkers and other local persons of interest. I would also like to thank front desk staff member Melissa for referring us to a local company called "Welding by Dale LLC." Dale came out to fix a broken bracket on our tow car. Very reasonable prices and he was fantastic!

We stay here anytime we are traveling with our camper from AZ eastbound. Great level sites with all 30/50 amp, water, sewer. Great, friendly staff, clean and well kept facilities. Quiet even though right off Route 66.The best part is the BBQ every afternoon! I'm a native Texan, I know BBQ, and this rivals Terry Black's in Austin!

Site was gravel and no side to side leveling required. Not too many long-term stays, mostly travelers coming through for a night or a few days at a time. Despite the coming and going, park is very quiet although I will say you can hear the train in the distance and planes flying overhead which wasn't unbearable in my opinion. Felt very safe and I left chairs and my grill out with no problems. Lots of hiking and biking opportunities in the area. Pyramid Rock, Church Rock, Cibola National Forest, Window Rock, Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Hubble Trading Post National National Historic Site, El Morro National Monument, El Malpais National Monument are all nearby. Very rich in culture and history. Trading posts everywhere you turn with beautiful and amazing Native American Jewlery, pottery, and other goods. My favorite restaurants in Gallup were Oasis Mediterranean Restaurant and Angela's Cafe in the train station. There is also a great, free museum of Native American local history in the train station above the restaurant. Rate was $33.25/night with Good Sam discount. USA RV Park gift shop had a great variety of souvenirs available and their nightly barbecue and ice cream social was a nice option to have available. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended and I would definitely stay there again.

Playground for children if you happen to be traveling with any, there is a pool but it wasn't open yet. Never visited the restrooms, have no info on them. Park itself is clean enough, pretty bare. The roads are asphalt, the sites are red gravel. Water hookup was a little challenging, husband said it was a short-thread faucet so it took a little effort to get it hooked up so it didn't leak. It was a little noisier than we expected, the interstate was far enough away that the highway noise, especially at night, seemed more like a constant hum than a disturbance. Train tracks are just on the other side of a berm across highway 66. Heard trains, but did not hear whistles. Occasional throaty vehicle would roar by on highway. But we appear to be stone deaf in our old age, or our trailer is more noise proof than we knew, none of it disturbed our sleep. The place seems to be a common one night stop for people. We were there for three nights and the neighbors to either side changed as many times. But the park felt safe enough. We would return if we were back in this area, although having explored the area already, it would likely be a one or two night stopover.

Not the fault of the park, but our neighbors were not good neighbors, let their dogs poop in our site and didn't clean it up, had their stuff occupying both picnic tables. Not my favorite layout for sites, but luckily it was just one night.

Stayed here for a few nights while we explored northern NM. Not fancy or resort like (not a need for us), but it was clean, fairly priced & the desk attendant was friendly. Laundry was also in good working order & reasonably priced. There’s typical road noise, but just a head’s up - there are low flying aircraft late at night.

This is not a fancy RV park, but it has all the things that are important to us: level sites, reliable hookups, pull-through sites, a nice dog park, and even dinner available on-site for those evenings you don't feel like cooking or going out. My husband is retired military, so we appreciate that they let active duty military stay for free. It's close to 66 so there is some moderate highway sound, but if the AC or a fan is on, it's not a problem at all. People here are generally pretty well-behaved. Unlike many places we've stayed, there is staff on hand at all times so we've never encountered dogs off leash, loud music, etc. like you do at places where the staff vanishes at 5 p.m. All in all, this is a very reliable stop and we'll stay here any time we're passing through Gallup.

There is noise, but in the winter it isn't really an issue with windows closed and the furnace running. There is a small plane airport very close by, which can generate a fair bit of noise from take offs and landings, but they are not frequent. The one sound which is constant is trains running - emitting a deep sound. We didn't hear any train horns from the campsite. Overall, we were happy with our stay, as we did a few excursions from here - The Canyon de Chelly and Bisti Badlands.

If traveling from Arizona (headed east on I-40), you go through a time zone change when you get to New Mexico so you automatically lose an hour. Far enough from I-40 to avoid that noise, although there is a municipal airport nearby with occasional small planes going overhead. The sites are very tight so when the park fills up you are close to your neighbors. We went inside early because of several barking dogs left in their RVs without their people. The pool looks nice but was closed for another couple weeks. I've heard from others that the BBQ they serve in the evenings is very good. We didn't partake this time.Easy in and out, good interior roads, good signage for finding your site as well as where you're supposed to park to register - I always appreciate that!We used our own WiFi because the park's wouldn't connect.

The sites are basically located out in a large parking lot; however, the park has really nice communal areas, giving RVers a pleasant place to relax. The park offers an evening BBQ dinner and ice social. Buy your dinner tickets early because they have a limited amount. My husband and I enjoyed eating our dinner on their patio while watching the kids play in the pool. We were pleased we didn't have to cook or leave the park to find some dinner. The patio is lit with icicles lights, giving it a little ambiance. The kids also enjoyed the giant chess set. These last two amenities are a great example of how an RV park can add simple, cheap upgrades that make even an overnight stay more fun and memorable. Also, the staff seemed friendly, the restrooms/showers were clean, and the camp store had some fun items. This isn't a place I would want to spend a week, but it was a great place to spend an evening. This was really a great place for our kids to stretch their legs as we drove across New Mexico.
