Gated, locked facility and safe. Check in by driving to office. You are given a lock code to get in the front gate. Clothing and optional natural springs with a rustic feel. Pools are typically 100-110 degrees, no large pools that we could find. We had privacy and saw few people in the pools during the daytime. Quiet and peaceful. Private and group pools available. Level site #19, pull through. We have a 27' with a TOAD. Full hookups. Surrounded by brush with picnic table and a bit dusty. Full hookups, 30 amps. Bathrooms, showers, clubhouse nearby. Gift store located at main office. Thumbs up!

Interior roads (all dirt) are somewhat bumpy and tight (especially on the way out) but doable without much trouble. Our site (#12) was long enough -- and level enough -- for us to stay hitched and park the wife's car as well, but the bushes made it somewhat tight. Certainly not a traditional RV "resort" as the place is "rustic" at best. Having said that, once settled in, soaking in the hot spring tubs is really the thing to do, though there are a couple of short desert trails for walking.Staying in an RV here allows the occupants unlimited use of the public pools (there are some private pools available for an additional hourly fee) for the entire time you are here. There are both clothing required and clothing optional soaking pools and camping areas which are well segregated and clearly defined. The pools are kept at varying temperatures, so all who soak should be able to find one (whether clothed of naked) which suits them temperature-wise.Very quiet and dark here which made for an enjoyable stay. The amazing City of the Rocks State Park is just a couple of miles down the road. If staying there, you could come here and soak in one of the private pools for $34 for an hour. At the time we were here (late October, 2021) they were no longer allowing folks to come in for "day use" of the public pools like they used to. Must be a covids thing, I guess.

I'm single so it was $34 a night. $50 for a couple. There is a path to a star chair and stone circle that was really nice (in a very natural way). Very serene and the view was awesome. The clothing required mineral pools were wonderful. I didn't go into the clothing-optional pools. There were peacocks hanging out. The decor and feel is like stepping back into 1960. Space #16 has plenty of space for my truck and 30' 5th wheel. All hookups were acceptable. T-mobile was good, Verizon was not. I liked it and would go back.

He states that it is killing his vibes that individuals with swim suits are coming into the clothing optional areas and Faywoood should clarify this. They have!! If it bothers him that much—why does he not get him and girlfriend a private pool. Simple—that’s what I and my girlfriend do!! Wake up Cheap O!!

We have stayed here before. Sites 10-16 can handle big rigs, though some of them are a challenge to get level. We have stayed in 10 & 16 before, in our 43 ft class A. Site 10 is widest of them and a great spot to watch the night sky. Love the many options for soaking in the geothermal springs...

Clothing required or clothing optional with each area separated by tall wooden fences. Everyone was mellow and I did three sessions of soaking each day with a lot of resting in the shade in between. The local peacocks wandered around, and the vegetation provided lots of shade when desired. The small local store supplied some food and drink, but we came prepared and had a picnic with relatives from Deming who came up for a soak. I want to go back.
Go for the hot pools.

Everything seems very run down. Many dead trees. The fences around the pools are falling down and the structures also seem to be in disrepair. We stayed in the clothing required area, and the campsites that are on the outside would have been ok. We got one that was next to the club house and there were 4 or 5 us us sort of jammed in there. Hard to actually tell where we were supposed to be until a worker helped us. Employees and campers were all very nice and friendly. Spotty ATT cell service and no wifi.

It barely spit water out. We were unable to use the showers and were met with an unfriendly attitude when we mentioned it to the check in person at the desk. The campground itself is okay and has beautiful views but when you pay for an amenity and it is not actually an option, I would at least like a kind, sincere apology as opposed to a nasty attitude and the response, “ You don’t have to stay here again.”

Soaking in the hot mineral pools here seems to melt all my arthritis pain completely away (actually makes me wish I could just stay forever). Night sky’s here are amazing and makes for the most relaxing stay every time I go.Main camp ground is all dirt road, but we don’t go here to hang out at the RV the whole time, the hook ups are sufficient. I most always stay in the clothing optional camp sites. I pull a 26’ fiver with a F350 duality crew cab and can maneuver into sites A,H,I and L with no problems. Sites J and K could handle smaller RVs however due to tight turns may be hard to access with a trailer,,, more suitable for small class c rigs. No hook ups in C.O. sites but I never seem to need it as we are only in when it’s time to sleep and meal time.Regardless of FHU or roughing it, RVing, car camping or tent, you like keeping your clothes on or going natural, you can’t beat this Oasis in the desert. I know MY aching joints thank me every time I go.

All of them had great nighttime views of the stars. The only a few very minor negatives. -Not all of the campsites are level (not a deal breaker, just need to be aware of it)-AT&T cell coverage is not available (not the campground's fault)-While some of the sites are big rig friendly, not all of the access roads are as friendly, not impossible, just a little tightIt has a very laid back vibe... We were only going to be there for two days but squeezed in another one because we were enjoying it so much.
Would I Camp Here Again? Oh, Heck Yes.

Maybe it was because we found it by accident, or because we'd just come off a stint of city camping in Walmart parking lots, but Faywood was a little slice of heaven. After a week off the grid the rig needed to power up, dump, and pick up water. We took a swing into City of Rocks State Park but all the electric sites were full. We had passed Faywood on the way but it didn't look like much from the road. After being turned around at City of Rocks I pulled up my Passport America app and saw that Faywood was a member. We decided to swing in.This is perhaps the best Passport America deal ever. For $21 (rate for two people and one dog), we got a full hookup site and 24 hour access to Faywood's incredible mineral hot springs. For reference, a day pass for a single person is $12. Is the campground the most modern, manicured thing you've ever seen? No. Are the facilities spotless? Nope. Does it matter? Heck no.Neighbors were fantastic and chill, the soaking pools were incredible havens of tranquility under retractable ramadas, and the quiet night gave us our best nights sleep in weeks. The main campground, and one set of pools, are clothing required. There is a separate campground, and two sets of pools, that are clothing optional. The clothing optional campground has no hookups. Don't be freaked out about clothing optional - if you don't feel like going (or seeing) au natural, it's easy to avoid.

There are a bunch of hot pools. Some are clothing optional. Some are swimsuits required. Some are private (extra cost). One is for a large group. A set of three pools are situation right next to the main camp area. There is a new clothing optional camping area. Nights are really nice and there is a hill in the middle you can walk up and get a great view of stars and the lights far off in the distance. I love to go up there after a night soak to feel the breeze and view the night sky and distance. It's pretty special at night.Nearby is the city of rocks state park which is very unique and a nice place to hike around. You can camp there too.Feywood is a fairly dry environment with dirt roads and some dust, but there are trees and plants too. There are small cabins to rent also. You can park large RVs in pull-through sites. There are full hookups. Site #6 is better for smaller RVs and for popup tents. There is a communal building with bathrooms, picnic tables, chairs, a nice fire place, a sink, microwave. It might have a stove, but call to check. There are nice showers in the campground. There is a large outdoor fire pit in the center of the main camping area. The owners are repairing a building for a new visitors center and store / cafe. We hope they finish that soon. It's pretty quiet and low key at Feywood and the people you meet are always pretty nice folks. They also typically have people work-camping at Feywood and they are always interesting folks. If you are a partyer and loud at night, you are definitely not going to enjoy Feywood. It's a place to zen out, not party down.We always enjoy our stays and soaks at Feywood. We don't go in summer months as we feel it would be too hot for us there. I recall getting verizon cell signals there, but don't remember how strong. If you are new to Feywood, I would recommend you park at the visitors center area (round building as you are entering) and walk North to the main camping/RVing area and check out the camping spots. If you like something better then you can switch spots back at the check-in booth. The grounds are a little bit confusing the first time you are there. You can read our blog for more info in the blog tab above.

Two of the areas are clothing optional (one right in the main campground), and one requires suits. All are accessible 24/7 to overnighters, which is pretty cool. During the day, the pools have shade covers that can be retracted for star gazing at night. Really nice. Our arrival however was a bit disorienting. We were assigned site 6 at the gate, and given directions for getting into it. We really should have walked it first, because this area of the campground is VERY tight and it took us over an hour to maneuver out of there after discovering there was no way a 35' RV was fitting into site 6. (Even if we could get in.. it was not leveled for larger rigs). Stressful arrival, that soothed away after our first soak. So note to larger rigs - just book one of the pull thrus. They all are nicely spaced and you'll arrive happier! The nightly price includes day access fees for 2 people, and full hook-ups. This location is just a couple miles from the entrance of City of Rocks SP, so also easy to do a day trip for a soak if you're staying there.
