I can hear a little noise from the highway if I listen for it, but it's not loud enough to keep me awake. At the same location, there is a gas station with car and commercial lanes and both have diesel available. The price during my visit was good (at $4.89/gal for diesel this is hard to write, but it's good compared to other stations.) I don't gamble so I couldn't take advantage of the casino. There are many open sites available on this last day of March.

They said the water is potable, however given the location of the faucets, some people may have used the faucets wash down black water spills or to rinse their black water tank. The store security person (next to the front door) told me there is a potable water faucet outside the Travel Center restaurant. I found the faucet on the NE side of the building. However, you will have to drive through a truck diesel lane to park near the faucet (the curb is painted red). You will be parked in front of a exiting truck while you are filling your tank. The truck could go around you, but that isn't a good situation. The security person also said there is a $10 fee to use the dump station even if you are camping there. This can be paid in the Travel Center. I noticed there is some sort of payment machine at one of the two dump stations, but I didn't investigate how to use this machine. Nothing prevents you from using the dump station without paying. Perhaps the roaming security guard might ask to see your $10 receipt if they see you using the dump station. Their website says "Centralized water and waste station available on property" with no mention of the $10 fee. This campground is convenient to Albuquerque and Santa Fe. The price is good ($20/night for 30/50a electric). It wasn't very busy (10/15/2021, the casino was closed). I deducted 2 stars for the lack of signage at dump station regarding the dump station fee and potable water, ease of access to known safe potable water, and inaccurate website. They should add red non-potable water faucets closer to the dump location.

Decided to give ourselves a break and find somewhere to park and plug in. Found this place and it worked out wonderfully. Based on other reviews we got to the campground (which is really a large gravel parking lot) and drove around to pick out spot (recommend way at the back to avoid noise from the travel center). Once we picked a good spot we went into the travel center and paid and within 5 minutes a security officer came by to unlock our power box. When we needed to extend another night we just walked over and paid again. Easy peasy. Definitely recommend staying here if you want a no frills place to park and plug in. $20/night for power

Everything the prior poster said. Laundry room was great. $2.50/wash, $1.50 dry. 8 washers and dryers.Casino is still closed, but restaurant in Truck Stop open. This is the first restaurant since COVID started that we were asked to sign in with contact info for COVID contact tracing. We appreciated that.

Easy to get to and check-in. Just grab a spot and go to the desk in the casino. Gravel sites do require minor leveling. Electric hookups and wifi. Dump and fill station on site. Quiet, safe, large convenience store nearby. Nothing fancy but for works for what we needed.

This was the perfect spot for us to stop on our way to Arizona. Clean, quite, and convenient. All pull through spaces. The back lot is free, front lot has electric and dump for $20. We will stay here again for sure, there’s nothing like a spot to grab coffee and gas right after a good night’s sleep before getting back on track.

Construction fence is still up and the whole site is an active construction zone (see pics, trucks rolling all day long=dust). If you pull in after dark, take care NOT to park on the road that runs behind the last row of RV spaces, you will be in truckers way. Be sure you are on the north side of the light posts(non-working), otherwise you will be in the dust cloud. RV park busier than I remember this time last year, but still many spots open. Probably busier because of bad weather hitting earlier in Colorado this year. Raton got LOTS of snow yesterday. Great deal with electric (power pole at site), water spigot and dump site X2 sites (communal). Watched another lazy DUDE (in the RV park) walk his dog and not pick up waste.....don't disrespect your hosts that way!!! The Poop Fairy may visit you with a gift....

Easy on/off the freeway and very nice staff. The RV park itself is a large gravel area with pull through sites just past the asphalted Casino parking lot. Each site has a power pedestal with no other amenities. If potable water is needed, it is available at the dump station with access included with the price of your camp ground stay (code provided at check-in). For those boondocking, you may pay $10 directly at the dump station for access. Pay at the Guest Services desk as soon as you enter the casino, and security will come and unlock the pedestal for access to electricity. You will need to go back out to plug your rig in as security only unlocks the pedestal. You may boondock for free in the dirt area back behind the RV Park. This area is still patrolled by security, and just know that you may be asked to turn off any generators when quiet hours begin at 10pm. Wind in this area can be very severe - heed area wind warnings. RV park is in a natural bowl, making winds damaging to awnings and other accessories like slideout covers. Be cognizant of this if you are going to leave your rig unattended while you go into the casino or explore the surrounding area.Campsite: All gravel, most level - just know that it is basically a parking area... limited space between camp spots if you want to sit outside, no views, and consistently windy. If you boondock on the far end of the space, you may be able to park in such a way as to block some of the wind, and create a more private sitting space for conversation and star gazing. Pets: all folks that weekend seemed to have pets. While most obeyed the leash requirement, many did not pick up after their pet... watch where you step! Cell Service: Weak / intermittent on T-MobileWiFi: Public WiFi with signal strong enough for streaming within the camp ground area————-Casino Information:Folks working Security and Guest Services Desk were very friendly, and it only took a few minutes to get registered and for Security to come by. Entertainment:If you typically go to casinos for entertainment, just know there are no longer bands or a bar at this casino - it has gaming and food only. We didn’t get a chance to eat at the casino, but the restaurant does keep late hours on the weekends. Gaming:Wide variety of modern gaming machines with a few older style video poker. No live gaming.Travel Center:Fuel was typically priced for the area, and has wide lanes for those with very large units. If you use the diesel side, you will need to go in and pay for your purchase. Clean restrooms and a wide variety of items available with an additional restaurant on-site. We camped at Black Mesa in a 5th wheel with four adults and one dog.

RV lot is laid out sparsely. Power pole setup has two rigs on one pole, each with it's own power box. One rig will face southwest, opposing rig will face northeast. Power boxes have a padlock until you register and pay at the casino guest services desk. Security beat me back to the site to unlock the box. Tip: find a level site FIRST, then go pay. The whole lot is on an side to side incline and the spaces are mostly level, but I had to pass on the first site I tried because jacks wouldn't compensate enough. The whole lot is gravel, some larger than egg size. Security is very present in green gator and white car. The casino and grounds are in a small canyon, so winds last nite were pretty swirly. Didn't hear a thing from the 18 wheeler lot or the freeway within view....dead quiet after dark. Good Verizon phone and hotspot signal. Picking up wifi from travel center with wifi booster antenna. Casino does advertise showers associated with the RV park only ($5). Dump station has an electronic code box on it-must pay at guest services (price unknown, got the code when I paid for camping). Signing up for their casino card is free and they put $10, also free, on the card to get you started. The only negative is an SUV load of dogs(off leash, crapping everywhere) that someone drove into the RV parking area with (not camped there). I was in the process of leveling, etc.....I should have called security, they will be reported for SURE if I catch them again! And understand I travel with THREE dogs always leashed and picked up after. Those yahoos ruin it for folks like me.
