You're escorted to your campsite, which was weird because that left the other 5 people checking in waiting in line because no one was available to check you in. You have to call to find where the fooseball/pool equipment is, but the front desk is too busy escorting people to answer questions. Someone left animal poop at our site. We never went to the dining at the casino because the sign said everyone had to be 21 or over to enter, and we traveled with a 4yo. Pool wasn't open, "game room" was more of board games and jigsaw puzzles that appeared to be several decades old. No playground, pool was closed. Gas station was garbage and several people giving the creeper vibe. Not a resort. Just a full-hookup rv site. 100% not worth it.

Had to move at dusk to another site. This site the concrete was 3+ inches off level. The water at the second site never flushed clear due to rust and mud. They had a serious water system issue. Plugged my filter in a week there. All “resort” features closed but still charging full price. Even the casino was closed up except for gaming and a terrible snack bar. Lastly, ups and fedex will ship here without issue. USPS not the case. USPS will not deliver here. USPS drops all packages at a different campground miles away. This campground tries to sort them but all my Amazon/usps delivered were lost/stolen and Amazon had to replace all. The grounds are covered with thorny stickers, easily found in dog paws and bike tires. This place should be avoided.

This could have been because of the new roadwork and two traffic circles to get to the travel center, casino, and RV park. Waze had us getting off the right exit, going through the traffic circles and then we followed the signage to the CG area. Check in was quick and easy and we were escorted to pull through site 1225 with FHUs. The CG was not very crowded during our Thur to Fri stay probably due to the casino only being open to NM residents (as of 5 Jun 21). We were told that the water pressure was about 90 psi and it was, so use a reducer. The sites throughout this campground are nicely spaced, well groomed and level. When we come here again for a longer stay we will try to get sites 1210 or 1212, which are easy back-ins and the most spacious. We thought the free WiFi should have worked better with the reduced amount of campers. We got 4 bars Verizon and a variety of OTA channels. Easy shots to the Southern sky from all sites for satellite. There was a nice sized fenced dog area just down from our site and a larger one near the front by the recreation center plus the CG is large enough to give your pup a good walk. You can hear the interstate in the distance when outside, but the noise wasn’t bad. The CG was very clean and there are a lot of amenities. There’s a good sized Camping World 8 miles back down the Interstate toward Albuquerque. Other reviews state the Pit Stop burger place is across the street at the gas station but it’s well down road on the other side of the interstate so take the shuttle or drive. We highly recommend this park for an easy overnighter or a place to spend a few days exploring Albuquerque. They guide you to your site. All appears neat and clean. Sites are long, level with a paved drive and concrete pad. Decent spacing between sites but there is no privacy. Gravel between sites with small bushes. Utilities placed appropriately, and we had no problems. There is a fire pit and warped wooden picnic table. There is no shade so if they allow you to pick a site do it to get the right orientation with the sun. WII FI is useless for the most part. Verizon was 4g 4 bars was it was a bit wonky for some reason. Satellite would not be a problem. Lots of OTA channels. Wind can blow ferociously!

We live in Albuquerque, and it was the middle of the Coronavirus lockdown, but were looking to just get away from the house and still be away from people. With all the state and national parks closed, we had to go commercial. Rt. 66 RV Resort is just loaded with amenities (none of which we used, thanks to social distancing). It was not crowded at this time, so we requested and received a lot well away from anyone else. Full hook-ups, all in great shape. The park is less than 2 years old, I think, and it shows. Everything is pretty much immaculate.Service was VERY friendly and the guy led us right to the lot in his golf cart. Nice and flat. Picnic table. Fire pit. We had lovely weather so sitting out as the sun set was a nice treat. In the morning, we walked around the whole place, and they really do have excellent amentities, all still in great shape. The pool area (not open) looks very inviting and attractive. The club house, while simple, looked very inviting. A couple of bathhouses around and a couple of dog parks. A big outdoor pavilion with a batch of grills and sinks and loads of tables in case you want to have a big party. The casino, restaurants and hotel are all closed, of course...but if you were looking for a place to stop and eat at a decent restaurant and do a little gambling...this RV park puts you just a couple hundred yards from the casino doors. Would be fun!

In this desert environment there is little landscaping but we appreciated the smattering of yucca and small trees surrounded by well groomed gravel. We felt the the angling and size of the sites provided adequate privacy despite the lack of landscaping. This is one of the few private parks we've stayed at that allowed us to reserve a specific site online by map, and we really enjoyed being on the last row facing the open desert. Our site was very level and so long that we could have fit several rigs.Make sure you have a water pressure regulator for your hose when camping here -- water is 90 PSI which is crazy high. We have a built in regulator in the rig but lost one hose to a blowout before we realized we needed one for the hose as well. Utilities otherwise worked fine. The gate into the RV area is staffed 24/7 and we felt completely secure tucked in behind the main casino parking lot. The location west of Albuquerque is a little outside of town but it's right on I-40 so it is easy to get into town to visit the sights or do shopping. Driving/parking in ABQ was much more annoying than the actual driving distance. There is a little bit of road noise in the campground from I-40 but we did not find it to be disturbing. Maybe being in the southern-most row helped us in this regard. We didn't check out the casino but RV guests receive several coupons for food, drinks, and play at the casinos.Cell service on AT&T was great: Download 41.8 Mbps Upload 38.05 Mbps.

Great campground! Efficient check in and escort to the very spacious site. Pool was very large and clean! Laundry room was spotless. If we could have gotten the wifi to work it would have been 5 stars. Defiantly would stay again! The casino is a great noise break for the highway and makes the campground very quiet.

Once you drive around behind the crowded casino lots, the landscapes opens up to this vast area of the park with nothing but desert views on three sides. The drive back to the park does involve a bit of congested traffic around the front of the casino, including a rather tight traffic circle. Otherwise it is fairly easy to access. Admittedly, the park has just recently opened, and so certainly that accounts for some of the cleanliness and sparkling new feeling inside the restrooms and the registration building. But hopefully the staff will keep the park looking like this for future campers. I was decidedly not interested in visiting the casino, but for visitors who are so inclined, the park offers periodic golf cart shuttles up to the casino. The only negative part of my experience here was that one of the employees who provided this service would routinely drive through empty sites and through her cigarette butts on the ground. I was sad to see some many of them littering the sites in an otherwise clean and beautiful park. (This accounts for the 4 stars rather than 5 in the cleanliness and site quality category.)The sites were extremely spacious, and there was actually little to no noise from the casino due to the geographic elements immediately surrounding the park.

They are going to try to patch it up for this summer, and then have plans to pave it over and install a new pool area next year. Too bad - it looks really swanky. The bathrooms and showers are impeccably clean. Free (decent) coffee in the community house, along with pool and various other table games, an ever-'burning' fireplace with a big screen TV, laundry, computer center, and small workout area. There is an outdoor Pickleball / volleyball court, but they are closed for the winter. The WiFi is surprisingly good - possibly because the place was so empty when we were there. Probably because it's just too darned pricey for what it is.We got the 'snowbird's special', which is advertised as $40/night, but with taxes comes out to near $48.It's a bit of a haul to get to anywhere other than the casino and the gas station across the bridge that has Laguna Burger. ABQ is 25-30 minutes East.

It's about 20-ish miles outside of Albuquerque but we enjoyed the remoteness (made for great sunsets and star gazing). Each spot is large size, includes your own fire pit and quality picnic bench. The offices run 24/7 and they have a guard on patrol who drives around regularly. Carlos, the park Manager and his staff were very accommodating. Carlos dropped everything one day to help us refill our propane and it was the end of his shift. He did it with a smile and was so gracious. His staff helped us move spaces the second week (we wanted a more remote spot) and they accommodated us with ease. It was the off-season, but the pool and water slide area looked cool! The lounge was very nice with clean laundry; brand new! And the casino is walking distance through a gate or better yet, a shuttle will pick you up at your rv spot! Only reason for 4 star vs 5 is the first week we had neighbors next to us daily and the park was nearly empty. Once we moved, all was good.

The staff was friendly, and there was someone in the office 24/7. The park is very nice. It is fairly easy to navigate except for one oddly placed concrete barrier right at the beginning of the RV sites. The interior roads are paved. We stayed in a premium site which was long and level with plenty of space between sites. All the sites are nice though. They use rock for landscaping which is quite pretty. There are no trees. The clubhouse is beautiful with a (small?) pool table and a few other table games. There are comfy sofas and chairs with a TV. Showers are in individual rooms and are large and clean. The laundry room has 4 washers and dryers with decent pricing. The outdoor pool and spa are also attractive. Directv satellite worked fine. Verizon 4g 4 bars although unreliable for some unknown reason. One disappointment was the WII FI. It either worked pretty good or it was pretty bad. For the price tag, the WII FI should be screaming. We had a tasty breakfast at the casino that was basically free with a coupon we got at check-in.

The sites are completely level. When we arrived on a Thursday, there were only a handful of other RVs, which made it feel very airy, open, and private. The sites filled up closer to the weekend, however, there is lots of space between sites and we never felt crowded. There were expansive views to the south which made for a more scenic location than we anticipated. The office/showers/laundry area was great! The bathrooms were very clean. The laundry machines worked well. The pool was nice, and very popular with the guests. The water slide was closed while we were there due to an "incident." The park itself is very clean and was constantly being maintained by the grounds crew. The trash was picked up from the individual sites throughout the day. The casino is within walking distance, but there is a shuttle available as well. There are only a couple local restaurants available. Groceries are harder to come by and we had to take a 20 mile drive into Albuquerque to stock the fridge. This was a great place to stay along the I-40. We would definitely stay here again.

Instead, look for the lot on the west side of the casino. There were only a handful of other RVs on the night we stayed. Did a quick walk through the casino, which was basically a stinky, smoke-filled room with lots of slot machines and a scary looking restaurant. I give Route 66 high marks for a free, convenient place to stay, but would look elsewhere if entertainment is a priority.
