RV park across from the Casino, with a shuttle to and fro. Delicious food at their restaurant, reasonably priced. No shade but the electric was reliable. Currently restricted ???? restrooms/shower access but they offer a free access/use to the showers at the truck stop right across the street .

Extremely affordable. Everything worked. Wi-Fi was fast enough to handle video streaming with ease. T-Mobile 5G is very fast. Couldn't test the cable TV connection since we didn't have the right coax cable. Casino's restaurant was pretty solid. There's some freeway noise, though.

  • Perfect RV sites!

Wow! The sites are designed and laid out perfectly, very pleasant! Shuttle to and from Casino. Showers and bathrooms closed due to COVID. Cable TV is so so, about 20 channels. First time here and will definitely be back. Casino staff was extremely helpful and very welcoming.

Easy in and out. Clean campground walking distance to casino. Casino had a good restaurant with very reasonable prices. This will be a do again when in the area. Gave only 4 stars because there was no bathhouse.

After three weeks boondocking in the desert and two straight days of overcast, I really needed to charge my batteries, and it was too windy to set out the solar panels. So I got gas in Grants and continued down the road. (Wish I would have waited -- there's a gas station right here that's 10¢ cheaper per gallon!)You have to exit directly into a roundabout, and I took the wrong exit but it didn't matter -- you can get here from either direction. You can register online or by phone, but I hadn't, so I had to go inside to the front desk. No biggie. Very polite and efficient staff were kind and helpful. I asked about showers, and the clerk told me that the clubhouse was closed for the winter, but she issued me a pass for a free shower across the road at the trucker plaza. That shower was huge, clean, modern and just great. NOTE: They had a notice at the shower counter saying they charged a $5 refundable fee for motel bath sheet towels, but the clerk informed me they only had the standard towels and I got that for free. The days I stayed were sunny but quite windy, and I got the impression there is often wind here. The views from my site, where I enjoyed looking out on a range of mesas while I caught up on computer work. The way the pull-thru sites are arranged, everyone can see that view without being obstructed by someone else's rig. Very cool. The park is fenced on three sides but there is no gate, and there are notices saying the casino isn't responsible for thefts from rigs or vehicles, so be mindful of your own security. During winter, it appears they shut off individual water supplies at sites and offer a single spigot in front of the clubhouse.Nothing fancy here, but everything is clean and well kept. I got decent signal on both my Visible (Verizon) phone, and my T-Mobile, both of which I used for wifi access. Aside from all the casino amenities, you also have access to the trucker plaza, including gas, McDonald's, convenience store, laundry and showers. There was a little traffic noise from the plaza, but nothing I couldn't live with. Overall, I was really pleased to find this little gem on this side of Albuquerque, and would definitely stay here again.

Ate at buffet in casino, definitely not much to write home about, $14. I'd try the a la carte items instead if i had it to do again. If you’re on a low sodium diet you might love it, but I use minimal salt in cooking and had to salt everything. Nothing much around except the casino. Sites mostly level, very slight pitch. We just parked backwards so our feet would be slightly down. 6 or 7 other sites occupied.

All sites in the campground are full hookups and all are pull throughs. They have a "clubhouse" that has showers for use by campers if need be. There is a fee dump station ($10) if you choose to dry camp. There is a fuel station nearby, but RV's are not allowed in the truck lanes so it's best that you fuel up without your trailer prior to leaving. Motorhomes and bigger RV rigs might do better at the Sky City Express stop a few miles away.Slight noise from the trains and truckers, but we weren't affected by them. Fairly quiet place. There is a Walmart in Grants, NM, approx. 18 mi. away. Convenient for stuff that you need. One thing to do while awaiting your departure is to visit the New Mexico Mining Museum in Grants. It's $5 admission and well worth it, because it's the ONLY URANIUM mining museum in the WORLD.Overall, Sky City RV Casino RV Park is a bare bones full hookup place, but worth the price for a necessary overnight stay/stays.

Very easy in and out. Our site was nice and level too. No picnic tables so if that matters to you then you'll need to bring something. We were there in February and besides a couple over-nighters, there were only 2 other RVs there. The RV Park office was closed for the season. We looked through the window and saw there was a sign for bathrooms and showers. Instead we got vouchers to use the showers at the casino truck stop. These were some very nice shower rooms! Very big, all tiled, and very clean. There's free wifi but it was not great. However, we were pleasantly surprised to have great AT&T signal so we just used our hotspot. We enjoyed eating at the casino restaurant twice. Once for a buffet dinner and once for breakfast. The buffet was small but very good.Outside of the casino there is not much nearby. A couple fast food places (McD at Sky City and DQ at Dancing Eagle), a grocery store at Dancing Eagle, and gas. Further down 40 you'll find a few more restaurants and a Walmart. This is a perfect spot for a quick overnight. We stayed a few days because we were waiting out snowstorms in Flagstaff as we were heading west on 40 to California.

You'll see signs along the freeway about the price being $18/night with GoodSam, but they only charged me $15. I am never a fan of the waste hole being at a or near the same elevation of as the rig + concrete curbs, because you have to use so many blocks to elevate the drain hose to match the elevation of the drain and clear the curb. I had to join two hoses to reach it, so all I could was lay it on the ground and go coax the water to the drain hole.Water was still hooked up at the site. You need to get the key from the hotel desk when you go in to pay. Security patrolled all the time! Still... managed to wash my rv during their absence. Super quiet since there were so few of us. I was the only person that actually was home + stayed more than 1 day. I never got he wifi to work, but I prefer to use my more secure MIFI devices anyway and the bandwidth was just fine. 24/7 you do hear this loud metallic banging off in the distance; which I learned is the semi trucks driving over the cattle grate by the gas station. Eventually, I mostly tuned it out. You'll see even more signs for Dancing Eagle and you can read what others have said about that place and I agree with the negatives... This place is worth paying a few extra dollars and being 2 exits from the Grocery Store. It was a nice store, but expensive... I didn't realize until the next day how close I was to a large Walmart. Afterwords, I did my grocery shopping at the Walmart.
