Nice fire ring and picnic table. Able to fit truck next to trailer in site and still have some room. No shade.Amenity Rating (1-5): 3Amenity Notes: The pool was very nice. We didn’t use it during this stay as it was closed for the fall, but have used it in the past. One of the best playgrounds at a Thousand Trail park. There is also a basketball court and sand volleyball. The lake has a dock, fountain, and large, sandy beach area with a couple of picnic tables (although swimming is not allowed in the lake); really good fishing. There is a small walking trail partially around the lake. Did not use laundry facilities here.Reason for camping here: Closest Thousand Trails park to our family in central NJ.Miscellaneous Notes: While there are plenty of trash dumpsters there is no recycling here.Dates Stayed: 9/23-10/8Price Paid: $0 with Thousand Trails membershipWeather: Warm days (upper 60’s, low-mid 70’s) and cool nights (40’s-50’s), mostly clear and sunnyVerizon Cell Quality**: 4 Very good Verizon here. Averaged 30.2 Mb/s Down and 23.1 Mb/s Up.Mail: We did not have any packages delivered here.* For reference we are pulling a 33’ long Jayco travel trailer with a 2016 F350 Crew Cab Short Bed 4x4 which is 22’ with hitch giving us a total length of 55’. **For reference we have two Google Pixel 2 XL on Verizon ‘Play More” unlimited data plans. For data we have an Inseego 8800L on Verizon’s expired prepaid unlimited hotspot plan. In areas of low signal we use a Netgear 6000450 MIMO antenna. Kudos to Thousand Trails for making it right with us!

Roads are all stone and very dusty. Very close to the river so mosquitoes are crazy sick here as are the fly and especially green head flies. You'll know when you're bit by them for sure.15 miles and 30 minutes to Atlantic City as is Walmart. Smithville is 4 miles down the road.It is right next to the GSP so there will be considerable noise from the highway.Had a neighbor that had 15 people on site for a week. A motorhome, 2 tents and 3 cars. When the kids decided to use my RV as a way to bounce things off of it I lost it.I complained to the office a number of times but they did nothing. Needless to say I will not be back for sure. Very few sites have 50A service. This campground takes the cake for party animal central on the weekends. They come in Friday drink and party till all hours and leave on Sunday morning.ATT had barely usable signal. TMobile had a decent signal and usable. Verizon had the best with 20-30mbps download speeds.

However, upon picking out our site we were less than thrilled at the selection. Several sites were muddy and all sites were right on top of each other with no shade except for a handful. However, the back section of the park did have pull through sites. We came in the beginning of June and the mosquitoes were the worst I've ever experienced. After asking around, this is common for the area and so are biting flies so be prepared with bug spray! Make sure you pick a site that has a functional sewer hook-up. We made the mistake of picking a site and completely setting up before realizing ours was capped off. We also noticed the last day when our neighbors dumped at their site it caused out capped off sewer to overflow all over the ground and of course smell terrible. Although the sites were unappealing, the buildings, bath houses, adult lounge, and pool were well taken care of and clean. The adult lounge and pool were the nicest I've experienced thus far. The lounge had great wifi! The campground is also less than a mile from a very cute coffee shop on the water with breakfast and lunch as well as a fresh produce shop nearby. If you are coming to the area to hang by the pool or do day trips/adventures then I think this campground would work well for you. I did not feel like I could just relax outside because of closeness of the sites/lack of privacy.
