As other reviewers have said, this place is simply too tight to bring in any decent-sized trailer or RV. They do not take into account trees that need to be removed to make turns or trees in each RV spot that are far too close to entering or exiting the site. Sites are dirt, unlevel and when it rains becomes a mud hole. Most RVs here look to be long-term residents who have been parked there for years. Every tree has marks where they have been hit. Our site was littered with broken tail light red plastic. It was expensive to stay here and I would not recommend this place to anyone at any cost.

  • There long enough to see the cobwebs in the corners!

It's a campground not RV Resort, that is misleading and leads to higher expectations. The sites are wooden and many large though most of the large site are used by seasonals. Because we were going to be there several months we had a wonderfully large site that included the wood decking left behind by the previous user. There appeared to be many amenities. Great playground for the kids, basketball court, and the pool was nice. Bathouse should have be cleaner and the shower access left a lot to be desired Has a tennis court that had seen better days. Horseshoes and bocci courts could have been good if you could have got the equipment to play (more on that in a moment). Many electrical and water issues throughout the camp and our stay leads one to think that needs updating sooner than later. There is a campstore on site but this is where things start going south. The owner/manager kept her own hours and so the office/store was frequently unavailable. It also closed early even on Friday and Saturday evenings, 4:30, 5 o'clock pm is too early to close, that is when campers are coming in and needing, ice, supplies, what have you and the equipment to play games. And speaking of the owner/manager, well, she could be friendly but turn quickly brusque when questioned or a complaint was made, also was not consistant with who had to follow which rules. Better social skills and better store hours could easily turn that park around.

  • Lots to like, but significant power problems

There is also a playground, tennis courts, a basketball court, a volleyball court and a baseball field. The bathhouse appeared to be freshly painted and was spotless. Showers had plenty of pressure and hot water. The sites are hard packed sand/dirt/gravel - as are the roads - but they are basically level and shaded. It looked like the majority of the sites are long term vacation spots. Most were well maintained. Our only problem was with the power. At the first site we had, our EMS showed only 108 volts. That dropped to 95 when the air conditioning was on. Our EMS did its job and shut it down. We went back and asked for a different site, but that next site was running our AC at 104 volts - still not good for the AC. We finally moved ourselves to a third site that has 50 amp power, rather than 30 amp, and the electricity there held just fine. Staff were accommodating, and we were allowed to stay at the 50 amp site at no extra charge, but they were rather brusque when presented with our concerns and requests. However all worked out and it turned out to be a nice stay for us. Just be sure to check voltage when the AC is on. There are some very good aspects to this campground, but the only way we had sufficient power was to go to an upgraded site, which would be even more expensive. We would look for another campground first. However, if the electricity situation were to be resolved, we would be glad to return.

It was difficult to maneuver because my sewage access is in the middle of my class B. I asked the manger about another spot and he told me to move to 21. I went to take a look and saw that it was occupied. He then drove over to me, told me to back in and then stood with his arms folded as he basically told me that he wanted me to get my sewer hose out - as if he was going to stand there while I dumped my tanks. I refused to have him give me a manly lesson on how to deal with my rig and sent him on his way. I had to stretch my sewage hose pretty far and did not end up with a mess, but that was my concern - all I wanted was to ensure no mess.I went to take a shower and the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. I've never taken photos to document how bad an RV site was but this was outrageous.

We had reasonable cellular service too. The park is about half hour away from Colonial Airstream, our destination. We were there for two very hot days, yet it was pleasant under the trees. With a very clean pool a short walk away, it was the right way to spend what could have easily been a few miserable mid summer days.
