It had a concrete pad, water, electrical and sewer hookup. The area I was in was well maintained. They also have a rec center, fitness building, swimming pools, mini golf and more! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only thing I had an issue with was their internet (Jabba) that seemed to go in and out a lot when I was working but everything else was great. For 4 nights with taxes and fees, the total came out to about $235.

The activity center and pool are lovely. The sites are all full hook ups, which is very rare for Thousand TrailsThe sites are spread out nicely for a Florida campground. At 9p, weather permitting, you can see Disney’s fireworks out at the lake, which is really special. Just bring your bug spray. The staff and fellow campers were all very friendly. You can usually spot who the annuals are at Thousand Trails, with the excessive lawn ornaments scattered throughout their sites and Orlando was no exception, but there didn’t seem to be as many as with other TT parks. There were several gopher tortoises that the staff had to contend with to keep them out of the streets and many came to visit us at our campsite. They were very cute and kept their distance. Our dogs weren’t a fan though. Yes, there is a strict 12p check-in policy. In fact, it says in the handout that the police are ticketing anyone sitting in the turn lane $166 for impeding traffic. We didn’t show until 3p the first Friday in April and there was no line. Perhaps it was the end of the season, I’m not sure, but there were plenty of sites. They staged us near the activity center for about 10 minutes and some nice gentlemen on a golf cart escorted us to a site. He wrote down the site number, so we didn’t have to let the office know what site we chose like in other TT campgrounds. Cons-yes the cell towers are overloaded, so streaming is not an option. We were able to get an ATT signal with WeBoost with the directional antenna, but only phone calls and e-mail were OK, everything else loaded super slow. I heard through the grapevine that the reason for the overloaded towers was because they are being transitioned to 5G. I have no idea if that is legit. Kids in the hot tub. I don’t think I need to elaborate on why that’s a con. ;-)Of course Disney World is 30 minutes away, but there are other options for fun in nature….Lake Louisa is 12 minutes away and is a lovely place for kayaking, fishing and hikingIf you love to paddle, be sure to check out Weikiva Springs, which is only 60 minutes away. It was beautiful and one of the highlights of our trip. https://www.wekivawildandscenicriversystem.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Paddle-WekivaMap-Brochure.pdf

Our full-hookup back in site was very long and it also has a concrete pad. This RV resort has over 1,000 sites and it is absolutely gorgeous. It features 2 large pools, a hot tub, recreation center, fitness room and even a small store. Lots of space for biking and walking. Packages are accepted at the onsite mailroom but you have to pay a small $5.00 fee (cash only.) Tokens are required to use the onsite laundry machines and they cost $1.00 each. Washing and drying both require 3 tokens and the machines were in good shape. Several food trucks visit during the week. Make sure to check out Veronica's Cuisine on Fridays as their breakfast food is excellent! Our AT&T and Verizon phones worked at the site but the signal strength was weak. Did not try the optional paid wifi. Free wifi at the rec center was awful. We were also able to program lots of free over-the-air TV channels. Recycling is available onsite. My wife and I have visited over 40 Thousand Trails parks over the last 2+ years and this location is our hands-down favorite. Thank you Orlando RV Resort team!

All spots are first come first served when you arrive. There’s a ton of amenities and an activities calendar with something scheduled most days. It’s close enough to Orlando attractions to make it a good base camp for exploring the parks and the city.

Someone really wanted to up the game here and is doing a remarkable job. There have been all sorts of rumors on various media sites about Orlando having some sort of crime spree (including the parks), but I see absolutely zero evidence of that and am putting it off as crazy talk by people who need their meds adjusted. As other reviewers (including myself) have stated before, it's one of the best Thousand Trails parks in the system and with over 160 new sites, it's even better. I'm interested to know what the great big area behind the park is going to become as there is machinery out their leveling the ground and digging what appears to ditches to lay drainage pipe. Additionally, it really looks like they are not done adding to the current expansion, so that may be another thing to look forward to next year. Some upgrades to the rest of the park seem to have been done and the park just seems better, even under COVID. There are a lot of people bicycling, walking their dogs, and in general appearing to enjoy the weather. The dog park is in good shape though a lot of owners think it's rather small for a park of this size, and I tend to agree with that sentiment.Signal strength is amazing across the board, but bandwidth is a problem for Verizon and only decent for AT&T. The Jaba WiFi is barely usable for remote desktop work and pretty much worthless for video conferencing. Also, their website truly stinks and it's not at all obvious how to renew your service. Attempting to create a new account on the same PC will get you locked out until you can talk to tech support... a really annoying setup. If I didn't have an AT&T backup I'd be looking for a different park because I have to be able to work online.Tuesday,10:30am speed test------------------------------------------------------iPhone 8 with AT&T says 6.5 down and 12.9 upiPad Pro with Verizon says 2.9 down and 7.0 up which has been typical for this stayDue to congestion, my Verizon hot spot is being throttled to stupidly slow speeds from around 7am to midnight. From around midnight to 7am I can use my Verizon hotspot for anything.Access - easy to get to off of 27 (DO NOT arrive before noon, they will turn you away)Location - really nice area, a bit away from the theme parks, but traffic is not crazy so that's a plusCleanliness - has always been greatSite Quality - the new section is amazingNoise - A bit of traffic noise at night... nothing really noticeable 3/14/21 - Back again in a nearby loop------------------------------------------------------Jetpack - no signalMOFI4500-4GXeLTE-SIM7-COMBO 4G/LTE Router from Amazon with Verizon SIM - less than 1mb up/downJABA WiFi - 4mb down /1.5mb up3/28/21Jaba WiFi has been terrible for the past three days. Barely capable of browsing the internet and streaming is not possible.AT&T - 3.85 down / 9.38 up - similar to previous results and streaming is good enough for SD resolutionVerizonThis morning I tried it at 5am and got 20 down / 14 up on the MOFI. By 9:30am, it was back to 0.4 down / 0.25 up.Unless something changes, I won't be able to come back here. Now that Jaba has proved to be unreliable, my ability to work hangs on a capped AT&T hot spot.

We're Thousand Trails members so we didn't pay for our week we stayed here although it took some persistence to check online and call the reservation line to finally get an opening in February. Full hookups (50amp, water, sewer). Level site with plenty of room to maneuver around the paved roads. We received a phone call the day prior to checkin kindly "warning" us not to arrive before noon. We were early so we parked and went shopping in the Publix right around the corner. We showed up at 12:15 and waited 20 minutes in line to get to the entry gate and another 30 minutes in the "staging" area to get someone to drive us around to a couple sites. They don't assign sites so you get the luck of the draw on what's available. We were happy with our site E29. It was close enough to the pool and dumpsters to walk and we ended up on a row with tons of full-time families like us. We backed up to a field with a lake and saw turtles, sandhill cranes, and herons wandering around. The only downside to this resort is that it can take some time to get in and out. The drive in from the main road to our site took about 6 minutes at the posted speed limit. And that's if there wasn't a line at the gate. A couple times we waited in 10-15 minute lines at the gate.We used Amazon to order several things and they arrived same day (like within 2 hours!) and the following morning. The mail service folks said the Amazon facility is just across town.

This park is VERY serious about no checkin before noon, they even call you the day before to warn you not to arrive before noon. I thought this was crazy but once a resident there I realized that new checkins block the gate and you find yourself in a 200 yard wait to get back in the park. Avoid returning to the park from noon-1pm.Spots in the E section, where I was, were a nice large size, mostly level with an old blacktop pad that worked great for leveling. The bathrooms were spotless and the laundry worked off tokens but you could purchase exactly what you need (no coins, bills only). This is a large park, they are currently adding over 300 more spots, it's terrific for bike riding. Trash is a pain, it must be taken to the clubhouse trash compactor. There is also 1 large container for recycling which was refreshing. I received over a dozen packages during my 20 day at the park. Besides the 1-hour required processing checkin time for packages, there was no charge or any annoyance when picking up. The large Florida Sandhill Crane birds and frisbee-sized turtle were interesting. The turtles were not bothersome at all but the large birds were very large and very loud when calling to each other. I was a little afraid for my little dog because the birds were over 3' tall and imposing. There is no feeding or interacting with the wildlife permitted.I would stay here again anytime I'm in the Orlando area.

It's also about 20-25 minutes from Disney World, though a bit further to Universal and Orlando proper. Not much bad to say. Yeah it's older and certainly not a "resort." But it's well-kept for the most part. The Verizon and AT&T are both often overloaded so speeds can be slow despite decent signal. Since this place is so popular, there is a strict noon check-in policy. Show up early and they'll turn you away. Show up later and you'll be stuck with a 30 amp spot.Otherwise, they accept packages for free, have nice amenities, shopping is very close and you're just a few miles from 192 and it's restaurants and attractions. Off the highway too so it's pretty quiet at night. Wish we could stay here all winter.

Laundry and bathrooms have been refurbished as well as the activities center. Lots of planned activities at the park as well. Park internet connection slows down despite how great your equipment is between 6-10ish pm and when its raining due to so many people in the park surfing....Our daughter came down and stayed in one of the 4 person cabins with a porch for a week. It looked pretty new and very clean and perfect for her.

9/7/2019 - We arrived and picked our site. Park was only about 1/2 full. Park is large, many sites to choose from. Pool looked nice, didn't use it. Site condition was adequate. Pads are narrow and need resurfacing. Utilities were good.

If you come in 5 minutes early, they'll look at you very cross (like you've been bad on the playground) and make you wait for a few others to come through before checking you in. If you come earlier then that, they will simply have you turn around leave. There are several large parking lots along the way... take up residence and wait until 11:59, then scoot for the gate. If you're 10th in line, that's no big deal because it's a really long entryway and they rock and roll you through... 32nd in line kind of sucks as by then pickings could be getting slim. 16th in line was just a longer wait but got a really nice site. If you can't get there by 12:10, take your time as you'll likely be waiting a while, anyway.Go in with a big smile and good attitude and they will practically fall down trying to find you a great spot to park. Now back to the regularly scheduled review:I think this place gets regular updates, and it shows. I'm told the new loop will be ready this year which should add about 100 new sites; it's a huge park but they need them. The WiFi was pretty good in 2017-2018, but really did not work well in A or F loops during 2018-2019. Reception is not bad for Verizon and T-Mobile unless you are in D loop. I think that D loop is built on a large deposit of unobtainium, because you get virtually no signal of any kind in that loop. It's also the prettiest loop with lots of fauna. The dog park is nice and the lake is pretty as heck. I don't see many people boating around and, being in FL, swimming in the lake is vertoben. The pool is really decent, though, and while expensive, the laundry facilities are better than most any campground I've visited. A lot of the campground is very open, so many of the best sites (IMHO) are along the edges. If you don't mind having the driver's side of the rig pretty close to your neighbor, then the pull throughs in A loop are good, especially on the end caps where you can often get extra space. Everything else is pretty much back-in, but because of how things are laid out, I seldom see anyone struggle.Noise is typically not an issue, and I don't know if there's an out-of-level site in the park. Cell reception is good enough for streaming in Verizon to the Fire stick, and on T-Mobile you can download something to watch in short enough time, but streaming is hit and miss. Unless they do something about the WiFi, it's not going to be worth the expense. Unless the rangers say otherwise, I would not bother, and then I'd buy a 1 day pass to test it before committing to anything long term.Publix and some really decent Chinese food is at the next stop light away from 192 and a lot of other good retail can be found nearby. Everything else is a drive through (typically) heavy traffic, so make sure you add at least 15 minutes to Siri's time estimate.Bring-Fido will show you all sorts of great places to eat with your best friends, the the breweries/wineries are really decent and most have dog-friendly areas, but can get pretty busy during the weekend.I can't say enough good about the area in general, but this park is definitely a great place to stage out of as it will allow you to have down time when you need it.

The D section great for those who like a more state park experience. There is some room between you and the neighbor, but it is filed with trees and bushes. Bathrooms are good quality and cared for. The other sections A through C etc are all big parking lot kind of open spaces. There are over 800 spaces so the cell tower is challenged with congestion for everyone doing Netflix on the same carrier. If you need internet it has been suggested to get a temporary T-Mobile account for unlimited data and try that.

We chose a site towards the back of the park and were happy with our selection. Most of the site pads were in fairly bad shape, something they could spend some money on. Our hookups were fine, but we lost power twice, once while we were out of the park, it was over 90 degrees and it was off for about 6 hours. The other time it was off for only a couple hours, both were due to damage done while updating hookups in another loop. Arrival and checking was easy, with clearly marked parking. As is normal with most TT parks, you select a site from what is available by driving around. During the busy season, check in is different, we aren’t there so I can’t speak to specifics. As mentioned in other reviews, this park isn’t super close to Disney, and further from Universal, so you might look at other options if that is a priority. We drove to Disney several times and didn’t think it was bad, but we knew what to expect. There is just enough close by to make the area interesting, but not terribly crowded (until you get to 192). Access into the park can be difficult, the sign is difficult to see and can easily be passed by. Follow your gps and slow down as you get close. Exiting to the south requires a u-turn on 27, but we managed it with our 39 foot fifth wheel, just be patient. I enjoyed seeing quite a bit wildlife and especially liked the sand hill cranes that would visit our backyard. Overall, we enjoy the park and would consider staying here again.

There is Verizon service here and it was sufficient for remote work, including constant VPN access and video conferencing. Be wary of WHERE you choose your site in relation to your signal. In some sites you may get 10 down and in others 45. Overall, any site will do. There are plenty of recreational activities in the park and there is always something going on at the main building. They had food trucks, bingo, holiday parties and member generated events every day. There are two pools and they were both well maintained.

But if you have the 1KT Southeast zone, it is your only option. Add on Trails Collection and go up to Winter Garden instead for accessing Disney. See our blog post attached on that. The huge sign on the highway is impossible to see until you are actually driving by it. The trees around the park are now fully grown and block the park's big sign as you approach from either direction. They need to install a new sign at ground level you can see below the trees. The WiFi in this park is absolutely useless, there is so much interference from all of the hotspots in every rig you cannot use the park WiFi. Both Verizon and AT&T have "bars" here, but speed tests range and there are even completely blackouts for seconds to minutes at a time. Download 0.5-10Mbps and upload 1-10Mbps on both carriers through out the week. You cannot rely on these networks here if you require constant and consistent internet for non-streaming needs, a/k/a/ you work. The park itself is nice, with mostly spacious sites in the standard price. All gravel and sand. A great check in process with a large staging area and golf carters that will take you directly to sites they think you can get into. It is a big park it has some amenities that to be honest we didn't really utilize. They have an awesome package service that has their act together. They have lots of activities, but finding out about them requires you to keep going to the rec area and exploring announcements on boards, etc. There is a small "cafe" that serves food occasionally on site.

I would not call it a resort but my standards are pretty high. If Fort Wilderness is a 5 then this is more like a 3. But I gave it a 4 'cause FW is more like a 9. There are a number of annual sites here. I am guessing this is the norm for TT parks. So it is taken with a grain of salt. Stayed in a nice open area. Was newly upgraded to 50A and in the FL summer it is needed. The lake is nice and kayaks and other items are available. Walmart and Publix are super close. Grounds are mostly level and trees are here and there and dense in other areas. Like different CGs all in one.

Approximately 800 sites, all with full hook-ups. Very well run park. This is by far the most updated and organized Thousand Trails park we have visited. The pool and jacuzzi were very nice. My children loved the rec center. There is a massive mail center, so you can have packages sent here with ease. There is no early check-in, unless you want to be escorted to a 30 amp site of their choosing...all other sites are 50 amps. Check-out is a strict 11:00 or they will give you a $25 fine/late fee. I was not expecting much from this park, we were simply staying here for our low member rate and to meet up with traveling friends. We were pleasantly surprised! In the winter the park is a mix of retired snowbirds and fulltime RV-traveling families. Although this park is a bit out of the way, it is very assesible to major highways and freeways. Groceries and gas are very close by. We will definitely return in the winter some day.

This is a very large campground - 867 sites! All sites are FHU, but the majority of them are very close together with little privacy/landscaping between sites. Most sites are only 30A, but a few sections are 50A and there are other 50A sites scattered throughout the park. When you book here, you reserve a spot but not a specific site so you have to find and choose a site when you arrive. We ended up in section D because this section has the most trees and we wanted shade and privacy. Cell signal appeared strong throughout the park. There are lots of amenities - tennis, shuffleboard, pools, etc but we did not do any of those things. There are lots of great trails for walking dogs as the park is actually part of a preserve. Disney World is about 30 minutes away, but that's 30 minutes of driving through heavy traffic and lots of traffic lights. If you are visiting Disney and don't want to pay the big bucks for Fort Wilderness, this is a decent alternative. We will probably camp here again, but mainly because of our TT membership.
