The place is your basic mountain campground. Access was great - nice roads, great signage. Location was just beautiful - who knew there were beautiful mountains in Northern NJ !We were put near the office probably because as big as we are (64' with enclosed trailer) we don't really fit anywhere else ! So with that said, the view we had out our big front window was not the nicest because we were at the entrance to the garage / storage area and possibly the driveway to their owner's home. The place is huge, several ponds / lakes and lots of deer (early November). The pool looked to be in great shape and really nice, although of course empty. The office, playground, activity room, lake gazebo and game areas were simply run down, not cared for. The manager GUY was a bit... umm, grumpy and a little unfriendly ! The original owner still roaming around (manager's dad) was quite friendly and personable. They were the ONLY campground to have said they're open year round, HOWEVER the first freeze, they cut our water off. Keep in mind they said we should be ok with regards to having water thru Nov 30, but early freeze changed that. Workers and Theresa were super and friendly and helpful. We were notified AS we were pulling out that the spot WE were in that we were AT a non-freezing water connection ! A little too late - we were already unhooked and pulling out ! Provides for great bicycle riding through the campground as it's said to be 400 acres, site was nice enough with picnic table and fire pit. Would stay again in warmer months if we are ever back in the area. Sites for small pull trailers and tent camping were very secluded and adorable. They do NOT have Sewer hookups; they came once and pumped our tanks and were told that we should last two weeks ! I don't think so.
