It is a larger gravel parking lot with full hookups (except there are a few that the pedestal was broken off). Lots of room for large rigs. There were a few travelers passing through but out of the 20 rigs there, most seemed to be longer term (month or more). The road noice is pretty harsh, I don't think I have seen so many semi's come through a single area in all of my travels. The trains coming through seem to stop around 10pm but start up again around 7am.The town is very small, with no places to eat after 3pm (yes I said 3pm). There is a small grocery store and liquor store in town.Overall it served its purpose, a safe, cheap place that had great cell coverage to work from.PS Our dog enjoyed meeting the horses that were stabled there.

Since we left on Memorial day, I only had 1 day to travel during the week before I had to have a spot with good cell signal to work from. The site is a large parking lot with gravel and full hook ups. Plenty of room to move around and for the most part level sites. The entrance is on the side street not on US 287This seems to be a major intersection for semi-trucks passing by, so there is a fair amount of road noise. The trains come by often but I didn't notice the horns during the night. Not sure this is a place to stay more than a night or two but definitely served its purpose. PS. The 2 main places to eat in town close before dinner.

The automated teller sign in is most convenient, plenty of space, all full hookups year round. The highway noise isn't too bad. But, there are railroad tracks across the street that are busy. The highway noise isn't too bad. But, there are railroad tracks across the street that are busy. Luckily we don't mind the soothing rumble of diesel locomotives and the occasional train horn.As far as cell service we had full 5G signal. We had planned on staying overnight in Dalhart. However, the weather conditions were such that the odors from the surrounding feed lots were overwhelming so we continued up US 54 until we got out of the cattle fragrance.

  • Full hookups, easy in, easy out
