We reserved the ‘last spot’ over Memorial Day weekend. After our 5 hour drive, we quickly found out there was no electric. Called for maintenance and waited TWO HOURS! He came and stated ‘it’s unbelievable management is still trying to rent out this spot knowing the electric doesn’t work. An RV burned down in this spot months ago and they haven’t repaired it since.” Needless to say, we packed up and headed home- another 5 hours and our holiday plans ruined. Such a fraudulent business!! If I could give ZERO stars I would! Absolutely deceitful!

This park was awarded the Best in Eastern Texas, but I don't know by whom. It is right on the water, and does have a fuel station and propane service across the street, but it is rough. The worst interior roads we've ever driving in 29 states in 20 months - horribly rutted and full of muddy holes. No signs to tell which road has which sites so you might have to drive over them more than once. Sign at entrance says host is in #58, but there's nobody parked in 58. Nothing about the RV park at the store across street, but that is where you check in. Slowly. The person checking us in didn't know how to do the Passport American discount.Several seasonal campers, many look abandoned for months. Tight sites, picnic table sits under the neighbor's windows. Sites are very long, but rutted. No WiFi, cell phones worked okay. There are a couple parks closer to town that look much easier to use - we'd stay there if we came back.
