We absolutely loved Ames! The staff and owner are so nice and helpful. We had a beautiful site. I would sit outside and have my coffee listening to the creek and birds chirping away. I want to thank them for everything! Our 45ft had full service with no complaints. We will definitely be back and recommend this place for everyone.
Great place!! Beautiful property with lots of trees and streams!

We stopped here for 2 nights, initially lured in by Passport America, simply to dump our tanks and do laundry. We were immediately impressed by the park. While the PA sites in the front are nicely spaced out, the rest of the park is more like a state park - huge wooded sites (some brook-side) with lots of privacy. The park is family owned for nearly 30 years, and a lot of love and care has gone into expanding the newer sections. When the owners took over the park, previously a KOA, they took out every other space to make more room for everyone. A wise decision, in our book. They also created some nature trails along the brook, which was super nice. We ended up extending our stay and moving to one of the wooded sites - at full price. We liked the park that much. The owners are super friendly and accommodating, and it's not often a private park charms our socks off. Laundry facilities were super clean and open 24/7, and quite affordable. And the park in general just kept up in tip top shape (perhaps too much so, after each check-out they use a leaf blower to clean up the site - which does get a tad annoying.)There is WiFi distributed throughout the park which was usable for general surfing. AT&T is quite iffy, and Verizon was boostable to video streaming speeds.
