The lady at check is very nice, check in desk is down the hill a little past the entrance to the RV park entrance. Late check in is easy if you have reservations already. Camp host met us at the entrance to the park. We leveled out pretty easy this time, we parked near the front of this site and just added the extra dump hose to reach, the back end of this site dropped off several inches from the front. It was very quiet and sparsely populated this time. The last time we were here there were several snowbirds waiting for the weather to get better up north. This area is prone to be windy so awnings are not advisable, if you do use it make sure to pull it in if you leave the campground. There is a vintage playground the kids enjoyed, slide, seesaw, and jungle gym. Lots of places to take a walk. The bathrooms are clean and everything works. The drive in and out of here is pure southwest beautiful. It is a 30 minute drive to Overton if you need groceries or a hardware store. Every site is roomy enough and has a picnic table. T-Mobile was only usable for phone calls, Verizon was used for data. Wi-Fi is available.

This was an older / run down area but the park itself was clean. There was a bathhouse and laundry facility as well as a super old playground. Unfortunately the lake close by was not in good condition so there was not much to do there either.
Nothing special but everything worked well and we didn't experience any trouble

We drove through the other campgrounds and those are cheaper but didn't have hookups. We decided the view wasn't particularly exciting we'd rather watch a movie so we chose the RV park in order to get electricity for our movie night. The park wasn't anything special except that it had recycling, which I've noticed a lot of RV parks do not have. That was a change of pace for us since we are often bringing all our recyclables back home with us when we camp. The negative about this place is that the electricity, fresh water, and sewer are all on one post! It's kind of gross to think about how nasty that fresh water might get. And it's a little worrisome to put the water so near the electricity. But other than that everything was fine. We had a pleasant night.

Most of the sites had some shade. Wifi was not working during our stay (they were waiting on a part for repairs). We have an unlimited plan and a cell signal booster that increased our service to 3-4 bars. The women's side of the bathroom/shower facility definitely needs repair/remodeling, but it was clean. Unfortunately, my shower was only luke warm for the 1st ten minutes until the hot water finally kicked in. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Next you'll see the rv park with full hookups on your left. Finally and just before you get to the office and gas pumps you'll see the lower campground to your right. The road is a beautiful paved road all way from Overton to Echo Bay.Plan to load up on provisions, because the store doesn't have much and as you might expect.. everything is expensive (i.e. 87 octane fuel was $3/gal). Also, there is no propane refill for your rig.At this time of year most of the park is empty. Rates are very reasonable and the staff are very friendly and relaxed (28/nt, 170/wk, 480/mo). They don't escort, but I didn't have any trouble backing in my rig because the road and sites are quite wide.Caution: watch your small dogs... the coyotes are not afraid to wander close and I heard sad stories for the other residence. For me, I thought Millie was excited about the largest jack rabbit I had ever seen a few moments ago, but it ended up being a coyote watching us from behind a bush about 75 - 100 feet away. Thank goodness I had her on a leash; which doesn't happen too often in these underpopulated areas.Cellular service is good, but spotty. I was able to surf and watch tv on my MIFI fine. No over the air tv signal. Radio come in/out of signal as you drive around. They have free wifi, but I didn't use it.
