We took a trip over to Rhyolite Ghost town and Goodwell Open Air Museum, about 15 minutes away. We enjoyed walked with the dogs on BLM land accesses through a gate on the property. PLEASE bury your dog poop orPick it up! We saw a lot of dog poop just inside the gate. We heard coyotes and burros but didn’t see either.

Star gazing at night is tremendous, the park host is wonderful, the BLM gateway is sone100’ from our site, and the nightly burro calls are charming. The dogs love going for daily walks on the BLM.The park is situated a few miles north of Beatty on Hwy 95 North. The park fills up almost every night, but by morning most folks are up and out, on their way. 95 north can get a bit noisy, but not so much it interferes with anything. Nice level, gravel sites. Water, full hook ups. Verizon works great here. No cable but with our smartphones we can stream live news (if we want it). One of our favorite ‘to go’ spots in the desert.

The fellow who answered the phone & who greeted us upon arrival was friendly & helpful. Laundry facility is older but clean. Bathroom/shower looked clean, but some debris & hair had collected in shower stall corners. Light highway traffic and the wild burros provided some overnight noise but not bad. The park itself was very quiet. Big open land behind the park was great for walking the dogs. Park is 2.5 miles outside of Beatty, close to Rhyolite ghost town, and 40-ish miles from Death Valley National Park. Overall, our stay here was pleasant.

Adequate for a one night stop over. Park management is friendly and pull through spot easy to navigate. Most sites only 50-60 feet from highway so noise is pretty constant. Large trucks and double rumble strips.

The sites are on the small side, plenty long but not all that wide. Still, not horrible. Good strong Verizon but AT&T was non existent. But the road noise is a the real downfall here. Just yards from US 95, which thankfully isn't very busy at night, you get to hear every vehicle. Still, plenty of trucks and they hit the rumble strips as often as they don't. But considering the lack of alternatives, we'd stay here again for a night or maybe more is visiting Death Valley.

Good overnight site easy access off of 95. Pull through 50 amp. Good cell signal. My only complaint is that the hwy department decided to cut rumble strips on the side of the hwy on a long curve and half the traffic seems to need to ride the strips makes for a noisy park

Mike filled up my propane tanks and it was super easy. I would definitely recommend this little campground.

I used it as a base camp and you can't beat the price for a spot with full hookups this close to Death Valley. I can't comment on the bathrooms or laundry since I didn't use them. I can't comment on the bathrooms or laundry since I didn't use them. I was in a spot close to the exit and they are not centrally located - not a complaint, just an observation. I misunderstood other reviews and assumed that all the sites are 50 amp, they aren't. I made my reservation late and the only thing available was a 30 amp. As another reviewer said, if you're in a site near the exit, do not expect to be able to use the Wi-Fi. The biggest complaint I have is the noise. It's so close to Hwy 95 on a 70 mph stretch and the trucks are noisy just driving normally. If one hits the rumble strips, it's pretty loud. Luckily traffic really decreases at night. The burros in the area seem to be night owls. I felt the sites were pretty close together which is the rule, not the exception when it comes to RV parks. To stress the positives, the price is right and the owner, Mike, was very nice and was more than generous with supplying information about Death Valley and the surrounding area.

We were toward the exit and basically had no Wi-Fi. Second, and to be fair, not the RV Park's fault, HWY 95 is very noisy. Lots of trucks and it's along the 70 MPH stretch. There are grooves on the side and center of the road for helping sleepy drivers. The side effect is that those of us actually trying to sleep can't when the truckers constantly ride over them all night. The sites were spacious with full hookups. Very reasonable price. And there is a gate on the back of the park which leads out to thousands of acres of BLM land.We would stay here again. It was a great place for our purpose of jumping into Death Valley.

Has all the norms. Full hook up with 50 amps. There is a place in town that offers same price but 30 amps and is tight with thin spots.

It was a great - and cheap! - place to stay. The park is small and we were there in November so it wasn't super packed, but each night there were about 10 RVs there. Many were just passing through for a night or two.Our site was level and the hookups worked great. There's no picnic table so make sure you have your own camp table if you need one.The bathrooms have recently been remodeled and were very nice. The showers were by far the largest showers I've ever seen at an RV park. And they were beautifully tiled and clean. There are two bathrooms and each has its own shower, toilet, and sink. I really love when parks have these private bathrooms. Water was hot and pressure was good. Excellent. The park has a gate that lets you onto BLM land so there's plenty of roaming area for you and your pooch. No grass of course, but plenty of bushes to sniff and jack rabbits to entertain your pup. Every time we walked our dog she'd excitedly look for rabbits. lolBeatty is an old, small town. The main attraction is the little casino there. It has a Denny's in it and right next door is a gas station and shop that sells candy, beef jerky, ice cream, and a few other convenient items. The entrance to Death Valley NP is only 15 minutes up the road. So worth it. Do not miss it if you haven't been. Also there is a small ghost town about 15 minutes away too.The only con for us is that there was zero AT&T service there and the campground wifi was pretty bad. My husband and I both work on the road so this caused us some issues. The free wifi at the casino was excellent and we ended up there to do a few online things.Overall, great place to stop for a few days! The owner was extremely nice and offered a lot of knowledge and info about the area.

We were there during the annual Reno-Vegas off road race, and the town was busy, normally this is a pretty sleepy town. The park is nice, great folks who worked there, everything was good. A few decent places to eat in town too. If you want super quiet, this sits on 95, so might not be good for you, we had no problem with the road noise.

It is a small RV Park right next to the highway , easy access, surprisingly clean and nice. Each spot is very spacious. The host/staff is very friendly and helpful. You could hear the car noises from the highway and it became quiet in the evening. Good value given the price.
