We were headed back north from Palm Springs and were planning on doing the Extraterrestrial Highway and this was a good starting point. Park was quiet at night, reasonable, and while we didn't know it at the time, we stopped for gas at the Sinclair station next door and ended up being surprised that they had a very nice little grocery store attached. Picked up some fresh fruit and veggies for the rest of the trip.

  • One night okay

Pull-through spots very close together. We had a back-in on the back side of the park, which butted up to the treeline and a little stream, which was nice. There’s a little path/bridge there leading to the small grocery store on the other side.We had a similar experience with owner giving directions then coming up to the window and making comments about parking as someone else mentioned. I guess he knows his park and how rigs fit in, but it felt odd at the time. Honestly, I think just plain communication would have fixed it - he was telling me how to turn the wheel and aim the rig without telling me which spot I was actually aiming for. I heard the same thing happening with other guests as he helped them park. They are super friendly staff, and I don’t think he means any wrong, and like I said, probably just knows his park and how rigs will fit. Still, it’s a little funky.Wifi worked, not enough to stream but good for emailing, etc. Shower was glorious.

  • Would have been fine for an overnight, but...

The owner? said to swing wide so that we could get our rig (5th wheel) close to the tree. My husband told him we could not do that because the tree would hit our rig. The man told him again that he needed to park close to the tree. My husband said he could not do that and wanted to move our rig away from the tree. The man told him to stop, came up to the truck window and started yelling at my husband. He said that if he didn't do what he was told, he would have to leave. So, given that ultimatum, we left. If we would have parked close to the tree, the tree would have been all over our slide out. Our slide out is 15 feet long and 3 feet deep. We have another slide out in the bedroom. Both of our slide outs are on the same side, so moving over to accommodate that would have been no problem, given that there is a car-sized space between RVs (although the sites are very close). We don't have slide outs on the other side of our rig.The only reason we were supposed to stay here is that we were helping my parents get their 5th wheel down to their snowbird space in New Mexico. My parents need help setting up their 5h wheel, as my dad has Parkinson's disease. I was able to stay to get them set up (I drive a separate car), but then had to leave. Sadly, not staying next to them in the park meant that I needed to drive back from our boondocking spot every day to check on them. We made it work, but it was not ideal.

  • Nice people. Long site.

After driving through this area, I see that there are places that you can boondock in town and just past town so we probably wouldn't pay to stay again. We did get a Good Sam discount. This was a quiet place to stay. They are very particular about where they want you to park because they are bringing in rigs from both sides. They don't sell propane on Sundays. They do like their rules. They have two bathrooms with a shower/bathtub in the office. There is also one washer and dryer ($1.50/$2.00) in the office building as well. The guy who parked us and the gal in the office were both friendly and helpful. Internet worked but was not very fast. Our cell phones (Verizon and AT&T) both worked.
