It was very smoky when we were there and the water was quite low but it was still one of the most beautiful sites we stayed in this summer. There is a nice camp store that is well stocked and the owners/staff are friendly. It's a small resort so the sites are pretty close together but this didn't really bother us. The wifi is just ok. For being 20 minutes to the west entrance this was certainly a fantastic location.
Exceeded our expectations!

Even though lake level was low, it was still a beautiful place to stay. Site was level.Every component of campground was thoughtfully planned out to ensure guests are comfortable. Bathrooms/showers are the spotless. We didn’t have a problem using Verizon. Only 17 minutes to Yellowstone west entrance.

If you have a hotspot you can get some sevice but expect not to.
Great! Would do again

This is without doubt the best RV park in the area not far from Yellowstone Park. It's close to the nice small town of Yellowstone and right on Hebgen Lake. No issues in pulling in big rigs. The facilities are very good and clean and like new, and they have a good boat ramp and small boats with engines for rent. Each site has septic, water, and electricity with cement pad for picnic table. Portable fire pits are available. This is a great RV base camp although there is good RV camping in the town of Yellowstone for higher prices but we still like this place better.
This is our splurge place.

It is out of our usual price range (Golden Age Pass addicts!), but with a week of boon docking on either side of visiting here, we like to treat ourselves to top-notch facilities in terms of laundry and having full hook-up. The staff and managers are very pleasant and obviously love their jobs. We love being close enough to Yellowstone to visit, but far enough away to have no chaos surrounding us. We love Hegben Lake and simply everything about this area. We literally planned our summer around when we could return to this campground. Looking forward to next summer already.

It is a good 30-45 minute drive to the entrance of West Yellowstone, so you are not at the doorstep of the park...however it is great if you want to be a bit further out. The lake is beautiful...a tad windy in September....however we were thrilled to find this more affordable option outside of a national park. The staff was very sweet. Internet access was only really useful inside the office, but there are tables and chairs there for your use. The laundry was clean and tidy. If we return in the summer, I would most definitely try for a water front site. The kids really enjoyed fishing here. Take an afternoon to visit the visitor center at Earthquake Lake...it was fascinating.
