It is pricey but you are a very close drive to the park entrance. Spaces were level and not too close to our neighbors. The staff in the shop/check-in were very kind and helpful. We left fairly early to head into the park and there wasn't even a car line. Wish I had more time to explore West Yellowstone as it looks like there are quite a few things to do there. Had FHU and all worked well. There was a cable hookup but couldn't seem to pick-up anything.

Very nicely kept. Nice grass and trees on each site. Good playground. Good laundry locations spread across the park. Very convenient to the NP entrance. 4 stars because it was very expensive at $102/nt with tax, etc. If I were looking for a resort, I'd stay again; however, I will look for some boondocking in the area next time.

The grounds are the nicest of any campground. The surrounding park is great for walking. The place is crowded and the sites are adequate/tight. You’ll hear your neighbors vThe trees and large rigs make it difficult to maneuver.

Park was actually in West Yellowstone. We managed to get one of the sites backing onto Gallatin National Forest and enjoyed that very much -- both the view and walking there. The dump hook-up at our site was only accessible from our camper by pulling up to it as we left. Didn't bother us, but thought I'd mention it. It seems clearly to have been placed to accommodate huge rv's with mid-placement dump attachments. We didn't check out any of the park's facilities as we only stayed one night. At nearly $90 for the night, it was pricey. On the other hand, it put us where we wanted to be for that night, we enjoyed having water and electricity hook-ups, enjoyed the convenience to Gallatin National Forest, and it was super-close to Yellowstone's west entrance. If you're heading into Yellowstone, head in either early in the morning or in the evening to escape the crowds. Four Stars Overall Rating because sites were too close together and were too expensive.Added a photo (twice!) of Gallatin National Forest from just outside our campsite, but for some reason it didn't include my tag saying that's what it was?

It was a nice, clean place to sleep, and close to the entrance of the national park.We did use the laundry facilities which were standard campground machines. And even though it rained most of our stay, there wasn't a ton of mud which was very nice.I will say this - the campground and the folks who work there deal with rude tourists for months on end. (Hence all the rules.) Give them a break, be polite. I found out first hand what a difference kindness can make when putting in a request with my reservation and it was granted during peak season (June 2020) because I was very polite with my request and expectations. If you want to spend your money in West Yellowstone, MT, I suggest dinner at Beartooth BBQ, dessert at The City Creamery, and buying your souvenirs at any of the places along Canyon St.

Hookups were in good condition. As the park points out in literature & on-line, sewer is in the middle of many of the sites. We had to use an extension for our small Class C. The TT next door had to use 3 extensions. Nice shade trees on most sites. Our site backed up to the forest. There is no dog park, but a nice pet walk around the perimeter of the park. Laundry room was clean and in very good condition. WiFi is available but weak. Cable TV available but we were able to pick up satellite so didn’t use the cable. Store on site was lovely and employees were quite friendly. Quick and easy check-in with a large “staging area” for people to park while checking in. Overall we loved the park itself and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Our stay would have been exceptional if it weren’t for the people in a camper next to us and their relatives a few sites down. They apparently home school and each had 3-5 children. Unfortunately, the children appeared to be doing zero actual schooling and instead create havoc up and down the row where we are staying. They race bikes up and down the road and through other guests’ sites, screaming at the top of their lungs - from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (so far) today. No adult ever came out of the camper next to us the entire day. An adult relative from another site came down a couple times during the day and then quickly retreated to her haven of quiet down the row. Campground did nothing about it. We are here now and plan to be in YNP all day for the next three days, so won’t have to listen to all that during those days. It’s just a shame that the one down day we had is disrupted by people who have no regard for neighbors. Worse, these parents also do not have any concept of child safety issues as their children are much too young to be completely unsupervised. (Rant over. Lol)

Great place to use as a base camp for visiting Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. The town of West Yellowstone was wonderful. Super friendly people, good shopping and eating options and it handled the COVID situation very fairly. Even though we were there during the virus everything was open for safe business.

Many restaurants, shops, and attractions nearby you'll never be bored. The park itself is very clean and well kept. A good mix of mature shade trees also. Plus you will not have neighbors behing you.You definitely get what you pay for here...a 5 star place!

Now, I had reserved ahead, so I knew the price and what I was getting, but I needed the showers. The showers and bathrooms were a disappointment and desperately need remodeling. They’re old enough that nothing seems clean. The price was high for what you get, it location is their play. Seasonal business needs to charge a premium. The grounds were immaculate. Cell signal was strong, WiFi worked well. Quiet hours were not enforced. Noisy until late at night with both people having fun and vehicles coming and going. Ultimately not worth the price. A dry site is obviously there for showers, laundry and similar amenities, which fall short. Maybe they will remodel next year. Otherwise, might as well dry camp in the forest for better ambiance. The park emails suggest extremely rigorous rules, which seemed daunting and heavy handed. After making a reservation you get no less than three sternly worded emails with a litany of rules. It’s camping folks, relax. Ultimately the only one that had a strong impact was no wood campfires. Staff was friendly.

This year we were unable to get reservations due to most sites being blocked for walk-up traffic. We decided to book sites at the Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park and we are so glad that we did.The arrival area is very spacious with multiple lanes that are easy to pull into and park during registration. The office staff was very friendly and easy to work with. They offer free coffee, cappuccino, and hot chocolate each morning from 7 AM - 11 AM. The camp store was one of the better ones that we have seen and even had a few local items that were for sale. There are tons of brochures for tours and activities in the area and they also have a wall with all the menus of the restaurants in town. Our pull-through site was nice and level and we had ample room for our 32ft TT and TV. The sites are a mix of hard pack dirt, concrete, and grass. There were also mature trees on most of the sites that offered a bit of shade. We really enjoyed sitting out on the grass area near the tree in the evening. There are no fire pits in the campground but they do allow portable propane fire pits. There are exits from the campground that go into the National Forest. There are some trails that you can easily take with your pet or on a bike if you want to go explore. There is also a reasonable playground and large grass area for kids and families to use.One big advantage of staying here is to be able to easily get to the park entrance and to be able to explore West Yellowstone. We had several great meals in town and would easily recommend the Slippery Otter Pub and Cafe Madriz. If your schedule permits, you should also check out the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center. It is really zoo-ish but kids really enjoy it and they have some great exhibits. Kids can even sign up in advance and go hid food in the bear enclosure.TIPS:The campground needs the plate number on your rig so make sure you have that when you go inside. When you drop your rig on your site make sure that you have enough parking room for your tow vehicle. The rules at the campground indicate that you can not park sideways and must be parallel with your rig. The back-in sites around the outer edge of the campground all have a dog walk that will go behind your rig. This can be a bit odd having people walk by all the time, so if this is bothersome you might want to book a different site.Sprinklers come on every night and will soak anything left outside.

For our trip to Yellowstone, we decided staying outside of the park was a better choice for our preferences. We opted to stay at Yellowstone Grizzly because of its prime location, and the park did not disappoint. This is one of the most meticulous parks we have visited, which is especially amazing considering its size. We were lucky enough to be able to fit in the back-in sites at the back of the park, meaning our site backed up to the Gallatin National Forest. You have to be fairly short to fit in these, but for those who don't there are lots of pull-thru sites. We appreciated being able to leave the park and have access to the charming town of West Yellowstone, and we loved getting to the gates of Yellowstone within minutes. Once you are in the gates, you have to realize you will be driving far in between the sites, which means Yellowstone Grizzly is more convenient for the west side. One thing to note: the WiFi signal isn't strong throughout the park and may only work on laptops, not phones.

  • Pricey, but it's a great RV park in a great location.

Although the sites aren't exactly spacious, they are not as close together as I feared, and our back-in site was more than wide enough for us to not feel claustrophobic. Even better, our site backed up to the national forest where there were lots of trails for us to walk our dog. Our 36' motorhome and tow car just barely fit in the back-in site (some days we parked our car in the overflow parking lot). Larger rigs will either want the back-in sites that have a car pad next to them, or a pull through site. Our gravel site was nice and level. The WiFi worked fairly well especially during the day when everyone is visiting Yellowstone. They issue WiFi codes for up to two devices. Our AT&T and Verizon both worked well. They accept mail and packages for guests, but have two different addresses for US Mail vs. UPS/FedEx deliveries, which means Amazon orders are problematic. Our only complaint (not their fault) was the swarms of giant mosquitos (biggest we've seen) around the park, and even worse in the adjacent national forest. We stayed at the beginning of the season... in fact our first night was $35 since it was the off-season rate, then it went up to $65 for the rest of our stay. We'd stay here again.

Not all sites have water connections that are insulated. We were asked to disconnect our water each evening and reconnect in the morning in order to prevent freezing. We had to park our truck in overflow parking (due to site length), which I noticed others had to do as well.

This park is really nice though and we felt it was worth it. The landscaping is beautiful, and they have a nice playground for the kids. We had a premium back-in site so we had a grassy area behind us that backed up to woods which gave us a little bit of privacy. It is walking distance to the cute town of West Yellowstone which has lots to do, and only a few minutes to the west entrance to Yellowstone. Verizon 4G coverage was excellent here.
