With that said, we would definitely consider staying at Little Arrow again when in the Smokies area. We had a site that overlooked the Little River and the view and sounds of running water were fabulous. There were restaurants and a grocery store a couple of miles from the campground there in Townsend. My only complaint was the tiny bathroom stalls our our loop. The toilets were set quite a distance from the back wall and banging your head on the door was almost unavoidable.

  • Great camp & amenities - SUPER friendly staff!

The space was long enough (89’) for two RVs with full hookups for both. I appreciated the pavers in our space vs the gravel in the standard spaces. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the office/playground/pool/common area fire pit were all new, and well thought out, and well cared for. In terms of maintenance, I noticed staff would come by to check spaces soon after they were vacated, and would typically use a leaf blower to clean up any buildup from the time the space was occupied. I went into the bath house one night and was very impressed with the cleanliness and finishes.Cons: My complaints are minimal, and mostly nitpicking. When moving into the B side loop, the ground is uneven and should be leveled for larger rigs, as I leaned over a little more than I would have liked. Once past that transition, it was smooth sailing with wide roads and plenty of room to maneuver (for reference my RV length is 41’). The wifi is quick (streaming HD video is reliable) but requires codes to access and tends to drop you and require reauthorization. It’s manageable but could be improved. I have Verizon, and even with a larger roof antenna (Winnegard Connect), I was unable to achieve ANY cell signal (newer iPhones x 3). Do not expect to be able to make a call if you have Verizon. A 10 minute drive into town brings back the signal if needed. I had a friend with AT&T visit, and they were able to (mostly) make/receive calls.Overall a great camp, and I think it would be amazing place to visit during the summer due to all the available actives both at camp and in town when the weather is warm (we stayed over Thanksgiving).

They have a secure WiFi that does not really work. Extensive road noise, although at night traffic was very light. The campground is on the side of a hill in a little valley. We were in the A loop which is close to the Little River and down low so that the sun rose and set later than normal. This could be a good thing if you are here in the summer. The pool is under extensive construction but it looks like it will be nice when done. Very convenient to Cades Cove.

The access to the river was great. We bought river tubes at Ace Hardware in Townsend and got much use out of them. The campground is beautiful and well kept. Access to the National Park was very easy. It’s a great campground for peace and quiet. Everyone there seemed to be there for that reason. I’d highly recommend visiting if you get the chance, you won’t be disappointed.

Amid the COVID-19 chaos, we practiced some social distancing over in the Smoky Mountains. Good communications prior to our arrival both online and via a phone call. Campground is well maintained and clean. Sites were level. Each had their own picnic tables and fire rings. Full amenities including cable and WIFI. WIFI was slow, but not an issue. Some sites have covered picnic tables. We stayed in a site that backed up against the river. The river is excellent "white noise" to sleep by. Facilities were operating on a "reduced" level due to the virus, but stay was pleasant none the less. Close to Cades Cove and various hiking trails. Try out the Artistic Bean Coffee shop down the road about a mile for excellent coffee.

We stayed from the 27th of December 2019 to the 2nd of January 2020. Got an email from the staff. You just park on your site and return to the office and they finish the paperwork. The bathrooms are extremely nice with private shower stalls/drying areas with doors. Nice large, well spaced sites. Their website gives the site length for each site so you can choose appropriately. They have at least one pull thru site if not more. The river front sites are great with every one of them in the A section having easy access down to the river. The B section has a few where the bank is to steep for you to walk down so you might want to call to ask if that is important. The river side sites have a small pavilion structure with deck for your picnic table at each site. Great Playground for the kids. Good sized pool. Laundry room, coffee shop/machine with mugs on the wall if you forgot yours and refrigerator and dishwasher. 1 dollar cup it will grind the coffee as you make it. 1 dollar honor system. Firewood locker and bagged Ice freezer , on the honor system. Small pavilion above the pool with heater and tv's , tables, outdoor couches etc. Basketball court, corn hole, horseshoes pits, clubhouse for rent. Outdoor large pavilion with heaters they provide gas, Community fire pit (they provide wood). No camper they have Glamping tents, Tiny Homes, Bunk houses , Large cabins, Airstream camper rentals x2. Borders the National Park on the quiet end of the Smokey Mountains. They have food trucks on a weekly basis, great camp store with neat items for purchase. The sites have paver patios, fire pits, water, sewer and electric and cable. If you have to work while there, the internet is very fast for an RV Resort. Very close to the start of the Townsend bike trail. I have probably missed something but you will not regret staying here even at the price. It is well worth the cost. The only noise we could hear was the river running by our site which is also next to the highway going into the park.

The bath house was new, plenty of room in the showers and very clean. They also had a common area with coffee and seating. The pool wasn't open yet, but looked pretty good. The people running the place were great as well. The sites are a nice distance apart, obviously you're still in a campground without a lot of privacy, but you got some elbow room. One note, do not take site A11. Who ever put in the sewer pipe placed it up the hill, it would have been at best a level run from my camper to the pipe. I ended up using the dump station instead.WiFi was very good except the night we checked in. Otherwise it was very good. Which is good because cell signal on AT&T was zero at our site and only one bar up by the common area.

I don't typically visit campgrounds to go swimming but my grandchildren do. The pool and playground are nice. The bathhouse and restrooms are fantastic, very clean and modern. If you turn left out of the campground you will literally be in the Smokey Mountains national park in one minute so the location is hard to beat. Access into the campground is very convenient however the B section is a bit tight for a 60 ft rig if vehicles are parked close to the drive. My only negative and for me it was a big negative is that our site was very small. When i stepped out of my door i was literally only 9 feet from my neighbors sewer. For us camping involves sitting around the fire at night but with my slides out the fire ring was less than a foot from my slide out. Needless to say we didnt get to enjoy a fire during our trip. In fairness the camp ground does have a community fire pit that we could have used but that wasn't really what we were looking for.We drove around the campground and saw several great spots that have enough room to build a fire and arent uncomfortably close to the neighbors sewer hookup. We will definitely stay here again however we will book well in advance and get a site that gives us some room.

It is under new ownership and while we were there April 3-8 it was under construction but it was still great. The new owners are putting a lot of money and work into it and making it a world class resort. Each campsite has a paver patio area with built in fire pit, some sites along the river have small wooden shelters that cover the picnic tables. They have different sections of the campground with electric, water, sewer hookups and cable TV. The river is easy to access with a small beach area. The bathhouse had been completely remodeled.Arrival was quick and easy, we didn't have to do anything since Sheri sent us a text the day of our arrival with instructions. For some reason they had to move us to a neighboring site from the one we reserved, not sure why as our original site had people come and go the entire time we were there. They did discount us $2 per night for the inconvenience. The new site (B32) was just as good as the old (B30). Both of these sites were along the river. We follow Little Arrow Outdoor Resort on Facebook and since our departure they have a new store/registration building, refurbished the swimming pool and adjacent bathhouse, completed the playground, added a teepee for the kids to play in, a communal fire pit, refurbished the picnic shelter, added a dog park and added a coffee shop. In addition to campsites they have tiny house and cabins available for rental.Negatives - not too many here. I'm concerned that once completely built out and on a busy weekend it will be crowded. The remodeled bathhouse toilet areas are too small, I'm not a large person and it was a tight fit. The sewer hookups seemed to always be uphill so flow into the sump was difficult to maintain. I, along with several others, had to dump at the dump station on the way out although we had hookups. Take this into consideration when parking your camper, maybe you can get it high enough to flow. The campground is a 5 minute drive into Great Smoky Mountain National Park where there are lots of trails to hike, scenic drives and wildlife viewing. Speaking of which, our neighbors 4 sites down had a bear in their trash on evening while sitting around the campfire. Pretty cool, a little scary. The staff were great and stopped by regularly to check on us, not annoying though. Our daughter keeps asking when we are going back so she can play on the playground that she watched get built while there (I think it was finished the next day after we departed) and we can fully enjoy all the new amenities.
