Only 1 working laundry set (update- last washer quit working before we even got to use it) and 1 shower for the entire facility. NO working washer at all. Had to haul laundry to off-site facility. No paper towel dispenser, trash can or bench in open air shower/bathroom. No shower door or curtain for privacy in shower area. You are next door to active log cabin facility with 2 cranes operating Mon-Fri. Rather pay for the working available laundry service and a reduced rate lower than $115/night (JUNE 2022). No pull thru sites-better be good at backing up (thankfully there were only 16 RVs staying here spread out). No office building or staff-all online reservations. Online reservation only, you can't pay in person with cash or credit card. Suggestions: Invest in coin operated laundry and dollar change machines or more working laundry and more amenities for the $$$ you are charging. Would it cut into your profit margin that much for you to add and maintain a paper towel dispenser/soap dispenser with bathroom trash can and a bench?

We explored flathead county, whitefish, Columbia falls, big fork and glacier NP. This town has all the restaurants, grocery stores, Rv repair and much more. Great place to be and the owner always returned my call or email immediately. Some reviewers said it was pricey. In all honesty you get what you pay for. There are several other Rv parks in this town but they are old and rundown and I wouldn’t want to leave my Rv and explore. Montana Basecamp is safe and it’s a great place!

During the booking process we were allowed to select a site. We carefully studied the map and selected an available site with more space from the neighbors. It also had a bigger patch of grass which was important to us because we were traveling with a puppy. We thought the price was a bit steep, but the place looked nice and even had complimentary laundry on site and free firewood. So first the good. The location is decent. The sites are nice and flat and paved. The hookups are all new. Now the not-so-good. We booked about 5-6 months before our trip. About 3 days before we were leaving, I got some cryptic voicemail from the owner about how I would be in site 20 but needed to check in. I called the owner back (it was his cell phone and he was driving). I asked why he had called and he said he calls everyone. Then I noticed I had originally booked site 14 and he was telling me site 20. I explained we had carefully selected that spot (14) and booked very far in advance. He said he’d look into it when he was in front of his computer. Since I was worried because our trip was coming up fast. I emailed him our original reservation confirmation and explained why we wanted the spot we had booked. Next day I got an updated reservation with us back in Site 14. No actual response or communication from the owner. Rude. So what happened when we checked in? He told my wife we were in site 20 and site 14 was occupied. We were pretty annoyed. Why allow people to select spots if you don’t honor their choices. They’re charging a premium price and it’s far from a premium experience. So those photos on the site, let’s just say they’re definitely the “optimal” views. What you don’t see is the huge industrial site with cranes where they’re constructing log homes all day. That was the view from our site. Laundry? Only 1 pair of washer/dryer. Constantly occupied. No laundry detergent and no way to buy it. Sprinklers came on spraying our camper and items leaving hard water spots all over them. There’s no hosts or staff either. Just the owner - when he decides to be there. The drive to Glacier is still pretty far - but in fairness we knew that going in. Great concept. Great branding. Poor execution. Premium price requires premium experience.
Excellent sites and location, still needs a little care

As noted above, very pricy compared to most parks. The sites are paved and surrounded by well tended grass. The sites are huge with a lot of room between. The electricity, water, and sewer functioned very well. The owner is on site and attentive. For us, cellular service was good and the campground wi-if was excellent. There is a bike path right adjacent to the campground which goes for miles. While the campground was close to US 93, road noise was not a problem. Our only concern was that there are only two showers and bathrooms for the whole campground. Most of the rigs were big so that was probably not an issue for them. The showers functioned very well but were not cleaned often. Also, there is no soap at the sink and no stool, shelf, or chair. These issues are minor and easily correctable. Location is convenient to Kalispell, Flathead Lake, Whitefish Mountain, and it was an easy drive to Glacier.
Nice park but not ready for busy summer season

The problem is that it's so unreliable. Even if you can get connected, all devices are limited to 10 maps. That would normally be enough for me to work, but with 65% packet loss and an unreliable signal I was forced to pay an additional $50 per day to go to a coworking site in town.Cell data? Well T mobile is slow and verizon was jammed.... just too many people in town in July. There are two buildings with facilities, one one each end of the park. Each has two rooms... one has a toilet and shower and the other has a single washer and dryer. So in the busy summer season it's tough to get in the restroom with 40 sites per shower. Want to do laundry? Try the middle of the night... people put their laundry bags in line outside waiting for the one washing machine.
Great Basecamp to explore surrounding lakes, towns, and Glacier NP.

Yeah getting to Glacier NP from Kalispell MT. is about 45 minutes drive. But the pay off staying here at Montana Basecamp is this is a new RV park the WiFi is super reliable. My wife and I both are still working on the road so having a access to internet are a few things we research when we are looking for a camp spot. This Rv offers full hook ups 50/30 amp and water and sewer. It’s a well thought out camp lay out every spots are level on a long and wide paved pads with laundry rooms on the property. From what I see each laundry room offer clean space to fold your clothes oh yeah the best part the washer and dryers are new and free to use. When making your reservation they offer two type of spots sun set view or sunrise view. We chose the sunrise spot but either space you can’t go wrong. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again when we come back to visit Glacier National park..So to sum up our stay here;Clean campground ????Reliable Wi-Fi/Internet????Large leveled paved spots ????Clean and new washer&dryers ????Pet friendly ????Close to local shopping ????Thank you Montana Basecamp for allowing us to have an adventure in this gorgeous Montana area..Rob & Moni

These are the most popular lots, views towards the West Salish Mountain Range and North at the Whitefish Mountain Range. You have free use of our washers & dryers. The showers and bathroom were closed due to Covid. You are 10 minutes away from the big name stores and drive thru restaurants. 20 minutes from Whitefish and about 25 minutes to Columbia Falls and Glacier. We had stayed in Columbia Falls but felt really cramped. There is 28 mile bike/walk path a few steps away from the campground.
