Lovely grounds. Meadow out front with pond stocked with fish. Wooded sites. Really clean bathrooms. I'd stay again. Very close to entrance to Glacier National Park.

Our site was not very level front to back and side to side, and though we got close, we couldn’t get fully level. The sites across the back (11-16) seem roomier and more offset than the rest. The campground is well maintained, quiet and heavily wooded, although there is a fair bit of road noise from US-2. At least on sites 11-16, pull-throughs, the hookups are fairly close to the front of the site. Some of the interior roads go in odd directions and can get a bit confusing at times. They also had live music on the lawn the night we arrived, a Wednesday. AT&T coverage good, with 2-3 bars of LTE and speeds up to 7 MB/s, but throughput did fluctuate a bit. The CG has WiFi, but we could never get more than about 20 KB/s, which is effectively useless. We were able to get DISH coverage on all three western satellites at our site. There were no OTA channels to be had with our fixed omni antenna.

Not all the 30/50a rv sites have sewer hookups, something we really didn't notice when we booked, but it worked fine anyway for our 4 night stay. Close to the west entrance to Glacier, but an easy drive to White Fish and Kalispell too. It is a bit of a hoof to the east side locations. We drove around to the south on Hwy 2 outside the park and took the cut off Hwy 49 between Hwy 2 and Hwy 89. Narrow and windy, but the views along the way are worth it. Bigger rigs (if not prohibited... I can't remember now if there was a length limit) will struggle on Hwy 49. We drove the dirt road out to Many Glacier and came back on the Going to the Sun Road. A nice mostly full day loop. Be sure to get your permit at recreation.gov if you plan to drive the GTTSRoad, or enter the park before 6a or after 5p.

We were camping with family and friends and needed a campground that could accommodate my brother’s 45 ft coach (affectionately dubbed “The Deathstar”). We also wanted to be close to Glacier National Park and Mountain Meadows fit the bill. The campground reminds me of a state park with lots of trees and vegetation between most sites. It’s a maze with many sites tucked in amongst the trees, thankfully the camp hosts led us to our spot. The interior roads and pads are gravel and there are lots of hills. The sites are a mixed bag in terms of size, separation, and level. Hook-ups also vary, some W/E-30amp, W/E-50amp, FHU-30amp, and FHU-50amp. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. There are also 3 tent sites and several cabins for rent. Campground amenities include a camp store, several large grassy areas, a small fishing pond, a moderately sized fenced dog area, restrooms with showers, and a dump station. The park claims to have “wifi to selected sites”, but we had nothing. In fact, Verizon cell service was somewhat unreliable, sometimes working well and other times not so much. The campground is 10-15 minutes from the West entrance to Glacier National Park. Note: A separate entry ticket for Going to the Sun Road was required between 6am and 5pm and they do check at the entrance. We had up to 2 bars of very unreliable Verizon 4G Service.

Restrooms/showers are always immaculate and very nice. Love the close distance to GNP, and mountain meadow makes you feel like you are camping in the forest vs the typical full hook up RV parks. The sites had plenty of room for our 26ft TT, love the picnic tables and fire pits. The wooded areas make you feel like you aren’t too close to your neighbors. Overall a fabulous place to stay. All of the sites are wooded and spaced nicely, with great landscaping, room for picnic tables, fire pits and additional chairs. It’s well run, with great, helpful staff and camp hosts, and makes you feel like you’re camping in the park as opposed to some of the more commercialized campgrounds in the area. The bathrooms and showers were well maintained. We were disappointed that we were not allowed to hang hammocks (or anything from trees), but that demonstrates the care that the campground management has for its property. We would highly recommend this campground as your Glacier base camp.

The trees and branches need a severe trimming, my class A was scratched a few times and in my site I had to break several branches to get my slides out. I wouldn't go here unless I had a very small and short rig.You can't tell a road from a campsite entrance; definitely disconnect your toad so you can back up when you go the wrong way. Better yet, be sure to get there during office hours so you can be escorted to your site. The map and the actual roads don't seem to match. I had 2 nights in site 47, and when I tried to turn around I dented my RV (thousands in damage) because of a huge rock at the edge of the site. I was supposed to move on the 3rd day to another site, so I drove my car around and never could figure out how to pull into the site to have the utilities on the right side. It was like the road didn't go that way. I just stayed in the parking lot (had water connection.) I decided to park in the front lot for the night I asked about getting a refund and was met with "NO REFUNDS the owner won't allow it." Nice.Just be sure you get there during office hours to get escorted to your site. Oh also, every night there were gun shots, lots of them, until almost midnight. I was terrified, I thought it maybe fireworks but didn't see anything in the sky; it just sounded like gun shots. In the morning I asked the office and they told me there were 3 lodges in the area, like that explained it.The one good thing about this location isn't far from the western entrance of Glacier National Park, about 8 miles. Other than that this would be a pass for me.

It feels more like a state park campground or something, as all the sites are divided by tons of trees and the privacy is great. However, some of the sites are very tight. Most of them looked to be fine, but I had site 49 which was a pull-thru but with some really tight turns getting in and out. I have a 26' TT and I don't think I'd try to get anything bigger in that site (or the one next to it, #52). Getting into the dump station was also pretty tight I thought. Otherwise, I loved everything about this place. The lady working in the office was awesome, the bathrooms/showers were amazing, and the laundry facility was really nice. Also my site was right next to the dog park which was huge! They had a fenced in area and also a large field where I could throw the ball for my dog. The location is also great being only about 15 min from the West Glacier entrance and just a few minutes from Columbia Falls which has restaurants, groceries, etc. The camp store is nice and offers firewood, ice, souvenirs, and kayak rentals. Overall I thought this place was great, but with the awesome layout and trees comes some potentially tight sites.

It's definitely one of the nicest, if not the nicest park in the vicinity of Glacier. The staff are very helpful and informative, and the park is very well maintained, having just finished paving and putting fresh stone on some of the interior roads. And, the bathroom and laundry are very nice, with the newly remodeled showers being the nicest we have seen anywhere so far.The sites are very roomy and private, with lots of shade. There is a fish pond in front of the office, with great views of the hills on the other side of the highway. Very quiet, great starry skies, and excellent access to Glacier Park. Two recommended attractions while in the area, aside from Glacier, are the Hungry Horse Dam and the Montana Vortex. The Dam is an interesting engineering and history lesson, while the Montana Vortex not only has some of the best souvenirs in the area, but also does a pretty good job of attempting to document and explain some truly fascinating phenomena taking place onsite...** Price reflects Passport America and weekly rates

We were given a very small site for our 40 ft. 5th wheel, and it was impossible to get level. We have an automatic leveling system, and in our 19 months of full-time travel so far, this was the first time we could not get level. We were staying there for 2 weeks and really wanted to be in a better site, but they said they didn't have anything else available. To be fair, the campground is really nice if you get a better site than we had. The sites are spaced out very nicely with trees so you have some privacy from neighbors. I wish more campgrounds were set up like this one instead of stacking everyone right next to each other with no privacy like most RV parks. Another thing about this park that we didn't like is the "kid tax". That's what our community of fulltime traveling families call it when an RV park charges extra for kids. Since our kids stay inside our RV that we bring with us, it makes no sense for RV parks to charge extra for them. Hotels don't do this and they have an extra bed to make. And this park didn't even have any kid-friendly amenities like a pool or playground so I'm not sure why they charge extra for them. The park has free WiFi which is nice, but we used our Verizon hotspot. Verizon coverage was very good there. It's convenient to the west entrance of Glacier. I also appreciated being able to receive packages there. Since we travel full-time it can be hard to catch up with mail and deliveries so that was a plus. Overall, we would stay here again, but if we do I just hope we get one of the nicer, larger sites.
